Accordingly, the devices(Tentatively: <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-11">Mi 11</a>, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mi-11-pro">11 Pro</a>) are under the radar of leaks frequently. And now, a recent tip hints at the camera specs of the &#8220;Pro&#8221; device.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-354711" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mi-11-Pro-camera-tip.jpg?x10805" alt="Mi 11 Pro Camera" width="901" height="370" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mi-11-Pro-camera-tip.jpg 901w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mi-11-Pro-camera-tip-300x123.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mi-11-Pro-camera-tip-768x315.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mi-11-Pro-camera-tip-696x286.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 901px) 100vw, 901px" /></p>
<p>Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has said that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi-mi-11-pro">Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro</a> he got to know had the camera layout and rear shell fully covered. Hence, he couldn&#8217;t spot the arrangement of cameras. However, from the system software settings, he reportedly found that the main camera of Mi 11 Pro shows 50MP resolution. Precisely, according to him, the output is a result of the 4-in-1(pixel binning) process.</p>
<h4><strong>Mi 11 Camera Specifications(Expected)</strong></h4>
<p>From what he says, it is understood that the marketing MP count of the sensor is not known yet. But the device&#8217;s main lens produces 50MP output. Moving on, tipster also mentions about a Telephoto lens on the Mi 11 Pro. Like the main lens, he says the software settings for Telephoto shows a 12MP output. However, he isn&#8217;t sure if it&#8217;s a proper 12MP lens or a 48MP sensor with a <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/pixel-binning">pixel binning</a> technique.</p>
<p>Now, if you consider the specs of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10">Mi 10</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-pro">Mi 10 Pro</a>, or even the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-10-pro-ultra">Mi 10 Ultra</a>, they have 108MP Primary sensor. Also, if we recall, the Mi 10 Pro has auxiliary sensors like the 8MP Telephoto, 20MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP portrait lens. Hence, in any case, Mi 11 Pro&#8217;s is likely to bring an upgrade in Telephoto lens.</p>
<p>That said, the above specs are only for the &#8220;Pro&#8221; version of the Mi 11 as the tipster says the camera specs of the Mi 11 non-Pro version is uncertain. Anyway, both the flagships are likely to darn different sensors(apart from Main lens) combination just like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/02/13/xiaomi-mi-10-mi-10-pro-breaks-into-the-premium-category-featuring-dxomarks-best-quad-108mp-cameras/">predecessors</a>.</p>
<p>From what we know, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro is expected to feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/16/xiaomi-mi-11-pro-leak-reveals-120hz-display-with-quad-hd-resolution-support/">QHD+ display</a> with a 120Hz refresh rate, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/13/xiaomi-mi-11-four-sided-curved-display-with-top-left-punch-hole/">punch-hole screen</a>, Qualcomm <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/06/xiaomi-new-snapdragon-875-geekbench-could-be-mi-11/">Snapdragon 875 SoC</a>. It could also have 120W fast <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/03/xiaomi-120w-charger-gets-3c-certification-100w-super-charge-turbo-phone-launch-imminent/">charging</a> that Xiaomi revealed this year.</p>

At <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/ces-2020/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">CES 2020</a>, the company showcased the OV48C, which is a unique 48 megapixel camera sensor.</p>
<p>The OV48C from OmniVision technically has the same size as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/11/12/samsung-is-working-on-a-108mp-smartphone-reveals-camera-app-code/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Samsung&#8217;s 108 megapixel sensor</a>; however, it differs by keeping the resolution at 48 megapixel. This is done to accommodate its larger 1.2um pixels against Samsung&#8217;s 0.8um pixels.</p>
<figure id="attachment_299651" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-299651" style="width: 727px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-299651 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/gsmarena_001.jpg?x10805" alt="OmniVision" width="727" height="408" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/gsmarena_001.jpg 727w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/gsmarena_001-300x168.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/gsmarena_001-696x391.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-299651" class="wp-caption-text">OmniVision OV48C with Pixel Binning technology</figcaption></figure>
<p>Furthermore, the OmniVision sensor has a 4 cell color filter (Quad Bayer) that outputs full resolution images at either 48 megapixels or use pixel binning for 12 megapixel images. The latter effectively makes the pixel size twice as large, about 2.4um pixels.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/01/08/oneplus-concept-one-phone-with-electrochromic-glass-to-hide-rear-cameras-announced-at-ces-2020/">OnePlus Concept One phone with electrochromic glass to hide rear cameras announced at CES 2020</a></strong></h6>
<p>In terms of videography, the OV48C image sensor can output 8K videos without binning and 4K videos at 60fps (Frame per Second). It also supports slow motion videos at 240fps on 1080p resolution or 360fps on 720p resolution. Notably, the new OmniVision sensor features PureCel Pus technology as well, or in other words, an OmniVision version of Samsung&#8217;s ISOCELL technology.</p>
<figure id="attachment_299653" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-299653" style="width: 590px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-299653 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/OmniVision_OV48C.jpg?x10805" alt="OmniVision" width="590" height="394" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/OmniVision_OV48C.jpg 590w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/OmniVision_OV48C-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-299653" class="wp-caption-text">OmniVision&#8217;s new OV48C 48 megapixel image sensor</figcaption></figure>
<p>The OV48C is also capable of staggered HDR (i.e, multi-shot high dynamic range) and thanks to its on-chip dual conversion, it can further reduce noise in captured shots. Earlier today, the samples shots from the sensor were made available and it begs the question of when will we see the sensor on a smartphone? And, which smartphone manufacturer is going to adopt it first?</p>
