The Leaked Pixel Buds A-Series match the colorway of the new Pixel 7a

Now, a new leak has surfaced giving us a better look at the existing Pixel Buds A-Series but in the new baby blue hue, showing exactly where the color pop will appear. The new sky blue color will be present on the inside of the battery case lid and on the earbuds themselves. “Sky Blue” is expected to be an almost exact match of the “Arctic Blue” hue that we expect the Pixel 7a to come in, which looks like a very muted pastel blue. The renders of the Sky Blue Pixel Buds appeared online in March 2023 previously, and this leak confirms that report.

Of course, as this is just a relaunch in a new color, there aren’t really any differences to be expected as far as specs or performance. However, the possibility of getting the Pixel Buds A-Series in “Sky Blue” might entice customers who want earbuds that match their new Google Pixel 7a.

At $99 USD, the Pixel Buds A-Series is an affordable option for those who want reliable earbuds without breaking the bank. The higher-end version of the earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro also recently received the Spatial Audio Update, putting them at par with other players in the market. As of now, it’s unclear if the “Sky Blue” version will ship as a bonus item or at a discount when the Google Pixel 7a is purchased via the Google Store or any phone carriers. However, it is a possibility considering last year’s deals for the Pixel 6a. The Pixel 7a has already leaked in all its entirety, and with only a week remaining for its official launch, fans are waiting eagerly.

A new leak has just revealed that Google is planning on launching new color variants of its Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds A series of truly wireless earbuds to better match the upcoming Pixel 7a.

The news arrives from known leaker Kuba Wojciechowski who shared pictures of the new color variants on Twitter. Looking at the leaked images, we can see that the Search Engine giant is working on a new “Sky” or “Arctic” blue color option for both the high end Buds Pro and the more affordable Buds A earbuds. For those unaware, the company is gearing up to launch the new Pixel 7a, which will be its latest entry from its A series of mid range handsets.

Based on the new leak, Google is planning on launching new versions of the Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds A to go with the Pixel 7a’s new “arctic blue” color option. Kuba Wojciechowski added that we can expect the new SKUs to release sometime at the Google I/O along with the new Pixel phones. The leak shares some renders that showcase the earbuds and its charging case in the new color variant. It appears that the blue hue will be for the earbuds and the inside of the charging case while the outer cover is still white.

Pixel Buds A

The Pixel A series of smartphones is pretty popular, even selling more than the main Pixel line. Now, Google is extending that budget treatment to its earbuds line and it appears it already has a winner. The $99 Pixel Buds A TWS earbuds drop some of the premium features of the Pixel Buds (2) but keep the key ones for a great audio experience.

OnePlus Tag is coming

OnePlus may be making its own smart tracking device based on a recent patent filing. The OnePlus Tag should take on Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s SmartTag when it eventually launches. We can expect it to be cheaper than what the competitor offers when it hits the market.

Samsung’s new Windows 10 on ARM PCs are powered by Qualcomm chips

Samsung announced the Galaxy Book Go last week, and the notebook comes in different configurations with 5G and 4G as well as a Wi-Fi-only version. The new notebook has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8cx or Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 chipset depending on the variant you want to purchase. It runs Windows 10 Home/Pro and offers up to 18 hours of battery life.

A month after it accidentally announced the Pixel Buds A on Twitter, Google has finally unveiled its new TWS earbuds. The new earbuds bring the Pixel Buds experience for about half the price just the way the Pixel A phone line offers the Pixel phone experience at a more affordable price tag.

Priced at $99, almost half the $199 price tag of the regular Pixel Buds, the Pixel Buds A largely resembles its more expensive sibling, save for the colors. It is available in two colors – Clearly White and Dark Olive – with a glossy finish.

The earbuds are said to be comfortable and designed to stay in even when you work out. They have a flush-to-ear design and a stabilizer arc to keep them in place. Google ships it with three eartip sizes. The Pixel Buds A have Adaptive Sound and will automatically adjust the volume to fit your surroundings.

Control is via touch, so you can answer calls and control playback by imply tapping on the buds. You don’t need to tap to call up the Google Assistant, just say “Ok Google or Hey Google” and you can ask a question, get a translation, or have your notifications read out to you.

The Pixel Buds A pairs with a single tap to your Android device. The earbuds are rated IPX4, so you don’t have to worry about rain or sweat. The battery life is put at 5 hours (2.5 hours for calls) and goes up to 24 hours with the charging case.

If you misplace your earbuds, you will be able to find them with Find My Device. The earbuds will ring if they are nearby or show their last known location on the map.

You can pre-order the Pixel Buds A starting today and will be available starting June 17.

It is no news that a more affordable pair of Google’s own earbuds, the Pixel Buds, is coming. Today, the new pair of earbuds called the Pixel Buds A was accidentally announced by the official Android Twitter account.

The now-deleted tweet showed the earbuds in white along with a Pixel phone with a dialog box on its screen. The tweet confirms that the Pixel Buds A has Fast Pair, a service that uses Bluetooth Low Energy and your device’s location feature to find compatible Bluetooth devices in range and allow you to connect to the Bluetooth device with just one tap.

Fast Pair will also register all connected Bluetooth accessories to your Google account which then syncs with all your Android devices connected to that account. It also has a Find My Device feature to help you find your lost Bluetooth accessory.

Seeing as Google deleted the tweet shortly after it sent it out, it is safe to assume that the device is not yet ready to launch. However, it is expected to arrive soon, maybe even later this month at Google I/O. The Pixel Buds A will come in multiple colors including green (with a white case), so if you don’t like the white version in the image above, don’t fret.

Considering Google used the phrase “Pixel Buds A-Series”, it is safe to say that this will be the first of a line of affordable pair of earbuds from Google just as the Pixel 3A launched as the first of Google’s affordable Pixel smartphone line.

Google might have inadvertently revealed its upcoming next-generation earbuds called the Pixel Buds A after an email push to Google Nest accounts revealed a small image displaying some device features. The Pixel Buds A photo showed a dark green color for the device, although we know of a white color variant. The email, first spotted by 9to5Google, contained some specs of the Google Pixel Buds A and a link to the Google Store where the earbuds are listed under Accessories.

Previously, the device had surfaced on the FCC website as a new Pixel Buds-like device for certification. The FCC listing showed two devices with model numbers GPQY2 and G7YPJ and pointed to the impending launch of the next-generation earbuds, which followed the pattern governing the listing of the current Google earbuds.

The two model numbers likely represent the left and right earbuds of the same device. The FCC listing also came under the Weifang Goertek Electronics company, even though the naming pattern bears strong similarities to Google devices. Weifang Goertek Electronics was also linked to the current Google Pixel Buds’ FCC listing.

The dimensions of the device provided in the FCC documentation interestingly bear strong similarities with the present Pixel Buds. However, we expect Google to deploy current technology to provide solutions to the current Pixel Buds’ practical drawbacks. Disconnection issues were reported frequently by users of the Pixel Buds, and the higher power output connected with the upcoming device should be able to resolve the frequent disconnection issues.

The email to Nest accounts also revealed an upgrade of the Nest Hub to incorporate some new features like photo sharing by voice, smart device controls, and several other additions. Google is yet to make an announcement on the matter at this time.

Apple recently announced that it will host a virtual WWDC starting on June 7. Now, Google has cryptically announced that its I/O 2021 will also be virtual and will start from May 18.

9to5Google was quick to decode the message on the I/O 2021 announcement. In a tweet, Google has shared the teaser and a link that takes us to an event page. Here, we see a set of puzzles with messages hidden inside the punchcards.

On decoding them, we get a message that Google I/O 2021 will be held virtually i.e, online skipping the usual Shoreline Amphitheater place and it will be free for everyone as well. Similarly, Apple has also said that developers don’t need to pay an entrance fee to attend the WWDC 2021 event.

Further, the message also has the event date and according to the report, Google I/O 2021 will be held from May 18 to May 20, 2021. We can expect announcements regarding the Chrome, Google Assitant, and Android 12 Beta.

In 2019, Google used the I/O to announce its first-ever mid-range Pixel 3a/ 3a XL smartphones in May. However, the successor got pushed to October the next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, reports say that the Pixel 5a will be launching on June 11 which, if turns out to be true, will once again skip the launch at the I/O. However, there is a possibility that the ‘Pixel Buds A‘ wireless earbuds could launch at the event but let’s wait for an official confirmation.

Either way, Android and Chrome OS developers should watch out for the event as the company is expected to announce exciting updates regarding its future.
