While the exact implementation details remain shrouded in mystery, it’s likely to mirror the phone version, optimizing charging cycles to minimize battery degradation.

This development is particularly welcome news for Pixel Watch users. The current battery life, while decent, can still be a concern, especially for those who regularly leave their watches on the charger overnight. Adaptive Charging could significantly extend the lifespan of the Pixel Watch battery, ensuring users enjoy a longer and more reliable experience.

It’s worth noting that Pixel Watches already possess a battery-saving feature called Battery Defender. This mode kicks in after four days of continuous charging, capping the battery level at 80%. While helpful, Adaptive Charging offers a more refined approach, intelligently tailoring the charging schedule to individual user behavior.

While the official release timeline for Adaptive Charging on Pixel Watch remains uncertain, this development signals a positive step towards enhancing the user experience. As more details emerge, we’ll keep you updated on this exciting prospect.

Meanwhile, Google is reportedly launching the Pixel 9a earlier than expected, with pre-orders starting on March 19 and sales beginning on March 26. It may sport a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP selfie camera. Pricing is rumored to start at $499 for the 128GB model.

The Search Engine giant announced earlier this week that it is bringing a couple of new features to the original Pixel Watch. There’s a bunch of new functionalities being added, so let’s have a look:

Pace Training: As the name suggests, this feature is a new workout option for users. The Pace Training allows Pixel Watch users to set a goal pace for their workout. This helps users track whether they are keeping up with their target pace. Pairing the Watch with the Pixel Buds Pro enables haptic and voice cues as well.
Heart Zone Training: This functionality is another health related feature. It is now available to the first Pixel Watch and lets you monitor the time spent on personal heart zones. The feature lets you optimize and receive tips for your exercise sessions, which is based on resting heart rate and personal fitness levels. Again, haptic and voice alerts helps you track shift from one heart rate zone to another.

Fitbit Relax App: The new update adds the Fitbit Relax app to the first gen Pixel Watch. So now, users gain access to methods like guided breathing exercises to ease their stress and calm their minds.
Public Transit Options: The Pixel Watch 1 now offers directions to the public transit options. This feature utilizes Google Maps on the WearOS to offer directions to different public transit options that are available to the user. You can even expect to find real time departure time, compass enabled map view, and multiple options for travel.

Google is rolling out a new update to the Pixel Watch. It focuses on the camera app on the smartwatch. The latest update arrives after the December update that brought DND and Bedtime modes. It has been spotted by the folks at 9to5Google. The update to the camera app on the Pixel Watch brings several features apart from the basic ones that were previously present.

Google Pixel Watch’s camera app gets a significant update

Prior to the latest update, the Google Pixel Watch offered basic features including a photo mode, zoom slider, three-second timer, and the ability to switch between front and rear cameras.

Now, the Pixel Watch’s camera app is gaining more capabilities. Users can switch between camera modes – Night Sight and Portrait while clicking pictures. Additionally, mode switching ability is also while recording videos. These include standard, slow-motion, time-lapse, or portrait blur video. Before this update, users had to choose different modes in their Pixel phone’s camera app. Hence, the new features on the smartwatch eliminate the inconvenience of reaching the smartphone.

Additionally, the timer functionality also gets a new option. In addition to the existing 3-second timer, the latest update now offers a 10-second timer duration.

9to5Google adds that the main list is now called Settings and the camera switcher is now a menu instead of previously just been a single tap to change between them. Ensure that the camera app on your Pixel Watch is up to date if you don’t see the new features yet. The latest build can be checked from the Play Store. Additionally, it’s worth noting that users may not see the features if the Pixel Watch is paired with non-Pixel phones.

Google Pixel Watch Now Receiving December Update With New Features

Google has started rolling out December Feature drop updates to the Pixel smartphones. It is said to be the biggest update yet bringing a lot of goodies. The monthly update is also released to Google’s first and second-generation smartwatches running on WearOS 4. The feature drop introduces convenient features as well as bug fixes and performance improvements aimed at making the smartwatch experience better.

December update arrives on the Pixel Watch

Starting with the Pixel Watch, the December update has a version number TWD9.231205.001. It brings ‘Do not Disturb’ and ‘Bedtime modes’ to the device that is already found on the latest-generation smartwatch. This will allow users to sync both modes between Pixel phone and the first-generation Pixel Watch. Additionally, the device also gets new watch faces and complications.

The latest update resolves an issue that caused image retention on the Pixel Watch 2 as reported by some users. It also brings the December security patch for both the first and second-generation models as well as the LTE variants.

Additionally, the December feature drop also introduces the Call Screen feature on the Pixel Watches but is only limited to the US region. It will let users screen calls and respond with quick messages directly from the wrist. Pixel Watch users also gain the ability to unlock their paired smartphone when it is nearby.

The December Feature Drop update is rolling out to the Pixel Watch series in a phased manner. So it might take some time to arrive on your device. Users can still try to force update by heading to Settings > System > System Updates.

Google is rolling out the Wear OS 4 update to its original Pixel Watch. As confirmed at the Pixel Watch 2 Launch event, the update for the Pixel Watch is now available, and will continue over the “coming weeks.”

Apart from minor tidbits on Pixel Watch, the August 2023 update brings the majority of changes for the Pixel Fold and Pixel tablet. Alongside the August 2023 Security Patch, the update brings a fix for the Bluetooth Connection issue on Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet.

August 2023 Update for Pixel Smartphone

Security Updates have really improved the Android Ecosystem as a whole, and the regular patches for mainstream Android devices really help in plugging security flaws. Following each month’s routine, Google Pixel smartphones are getting a new security patch. This time, Google patched over 30 security vulnerabilities.

Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold are major gainers as plenty of issues related to both devices have been fixed with the update. Pixel Watch is receiving another minor update bringing August Security Patch via the firmware RWDC.230805.001. The update is gradually rolling out and may take a week to full availability across the globe. It bundles a fix for eight high-severity issues.

Google Pixel Watch also offers Pixel phone’s heat protection feature

Google had launched Pixel Watch, which was its first ever smartwatch model back in October 2022. It has received various updates that have improved its performance since its launch, but it was only recently found that the device also features a heat protection functionality that is quite similar to the one found in Pixel smartphones.

Google Pixel Watch can protect itself from overheating

As per official notes, the Pixel Watch was built to optimally function in ambient temperature range of around 0°C and 35°C and should be kept in ambient temperatures between -20°C and 45°C. Furthermore, the Search Engine giant also warns against exposing the smartwatch to temperatures that exceed 45°C as it “may damage the product, overheat the battery, or pose a risk of fire.”

However, it seems that if there are cases where the device is left in an area with high temperature, the Pixel Watch seems to have built in measures for added protection. This feature was found after a Pixel Watch owner left his smartwatch in his car and it turned off automatically when it got too hot. The Pixel Watch later notified the user that the “Watch was too warm” from system settings and explained that “It turned off to cool down and is now running normally.”

This feature is quite similar to the functionality offered in Pixel series of smartphones. For those unaware, the smartphones from Google will also “automatically try to cool down” by slowing down, or even take steps like turning off the camera, flashlight, WiFi, mobile data, and WiFi as well. But as a last ditch effort, it would even recommend a cool down by turning off the device and restarting it.

Google Pixel Watch gets serious Improvements and New Features with latest Update

Last year, Google introduced its first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, which boasted a round dial and high-end features. Since its release, the tech giant has continuously upgraded the wearable device with updates and improvements. And a latest significant update released recently by the company introduces several new changes to the Pixel Watch’s functionality. Here are the details.

As reported by 9to5Google, Pixel Watch is now receiving the promised March 2023 update, two weeks after it was originally expected. The update comes packed with several new features and improvements and bumps the security patch level to March 5, 2023.

The update has build number RWDA.230114.008.R1 with an RWDA.230114.008.J2 variant for units sold in Japan and Taiwan. Compared to the updates from the past three months, this latest release is a substantial one, bringing improvements to Watch Faces, Display, Touch, Alarms, and Settings. According to the support document, the following changes have been introduced:

Watch Faces

Digital Clock is now available with button press when the device is powered down. The time will now appear upon crown push, alongside the red low battery indicator.

Display

In addition to tap, tilt, button press to wake the watch, you can now rotate the Crown to wake.

Touch

Optimizations have been added to improve sensitivity of touch screen behavior.

Settings

Battery saver enable/disable single tap support in QSS has been fully enabled in this release.

Alarms

In the coming weeks, a fix will be rolled out via PlayStore to update the Clock app that addresses some alarms which have been having a delayed or false start.
Ensure Auto-update apps is selected in Play Store > Settings on your watch and you will get this update once it’s available when your watch is on charger and connected to Wi-Fi.

In recent years, smartwatches have become increasingly popular among consumers. These wearable devices offer a range of features and functionalities beyond traditional timekeeping, such as fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, and even mobile payments. Last year, Google finally unveiled its first-ever smartwatch, Pixel Watch. The wearable offers consumers good value for money and competes with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the base Apple Watch Series 8. Counterpoint Research’s latest bill of materials (BoM) analysis has revealed the manufacturing cost of the Pixel Watch is just a fraction of its market price. The report says it only costs Google $123 to make the Pixel Watch, however, this figure only includes the hardware costs and does not take into account other expenses that the company may have incurred, such as research and development costs or marketing expenses. These additional costs are essential to the overall success of the product.

The Pixel Watch uses the Samsung Exynos 9110 as its main chipset and the LTE transceiver and other paired components are also supplied by the Korean company, collectively accounting for around 20% of the total BoM cost. BOE supplies the smartwatch’s custom 1.2-inch-diameter OLED display, capturing over 14% of the total BoM cost.

As mentioned, the smartwatch retails for $349. It offers some impressive features and tight integration with the Android ecosystem. It packs a high-performance processor to make good use of the latest Wear OS 3.5 and also features a co-processor or MCU to optimize battery life. It is equipped with multiple sensors, including a 6-axis inertial sensor and a digital compass, an altimeter, an ambient light sensor (ALS), and a light encoder to enable the haptic crown.

A Pixel Watch Bug is Messing with Its Users’ Schedules

Smartwatches are a convenient tool to help you stay punctual and on top of your schedule. However, for some Pixel Watch users, their alarms have been going off late causing some frustration. One user on Reddit with the username “91114” reported that their alarm for 7 PM, set as a reminder to give their son milk, had been going off late for the past few days. Another user named “blaqice” mentioned that their alarm had gone off a few minutes before or after the set time, and they suspected that a recent update could have caused the issue.

While it’s not entirely clear what is causing the problem, it’s possible that the watch is in a deep sleep mode before the alarm goes off, making it difficult to rouse it on time. Unfortunately, setting a backup alarm on your phone may be necessary to avoid running late for important appointments.

One user named “zrobbs” said that they have had issues with the Pixel Watch alarm several times and now set a backup alarm on their phone as a precaution. It seems like the issue could be software-related, and we’re hopeful that a future update from Google will address the problem.

A possible solution that Google could implement is the Smart Wake feature found on Fitbit wearables. This feature attempts to wake you up during lighter sleep stages to avoid disrupting deep sleep and help you feel more refreshed. While it may not entirely solve the issue, it could be a helpful addition to the Pixel Watch.

It is quite plausible that Google will address the situation in the next few days and roll out an update to the Pixel watch to fix this issue. In the meantime, it’s best to set a backup alarm to avoid veering off schedule and possibly facing an unpleasant situation at your workplace.

The new Pixel Watch app update from the Search Engine giant is called the November 2022 Pixel Watch app update and brings bug fixes and various improvements. The changes are primarily focused on three areas for improved “Fitbit experiences and integration.” First, it has added the Fitbit integration setting on the App’s home screen itself. Furthermore, it has also made it easier to setup through single tap from within the Pixel Watch app. The Fitbit sync information has also been made accessible via the home screen.

The latest update for the Pixel Watch app also brings bug fixes to the eSIM setup process as well. Lastly, Google is also bringing new additions to Tips and Support section within the Pixel Watch app. So now, users can watch a 3D tutorial of the Watch right after the OOBE. Notably, the change that is more immediately visible is the Fitbit section, which is being moved to the home screen. The new Pixel Watch will begin its sale alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Looking at promotional marketing images, the smartwatch will soon be released with Milanese and metal link watch straps. As per official notes, the former is described as a metal mesh. The Search Engine giant has officially revealed that the new metal watch bands will start from 129 US Dollars. In the European region, it will have a price tag of 129 Euros and 129 Pound Sterling in the UK.

The Milanese bands from Google are cheaper than their metallic counterparts, however, it is still more expensive than Apple’s offering for its Watch Series. Furthermore, the company is offering the new Milanese bands in multiple colors including Champagne Gold, Matte Black, and Polished Silver options. Although, Google will be only offering these bands in one size that should fit people that have wrists that have a circumference between 137 to 203mm.

With the Google launch event set for October 6, one only has to wait two days for the announcement of the highly anticipated Pixel 7 series and even the Pixel Watch. But prior to the official announcement, a video of the smartwatch being unboxed has surfaced online.

The unboxing was shared on the popular platform, Reddit. It was shared by a user with the handle “Suckmyn00dle.” This Redditor apparently managed to get his hands on a Pixel Watch before the smartwatch starts its commercial shipment. So now, we have an unofficial but complete look at the upcoming wearable ahead of the Made by Google event later this week.

Looking at the online post, the Redditor stated that he did unbox the smartwatch but did not turn it on as he didn’t want to get caught. In other words, it is clear that the user is not supposed to have the Pixel Watch, although, we have no idea how he got his hands on the new device. Notably, he also took pictures of the smartwatch with his Pixel 6 smartphone. During the unboxing, he noted that the retail box carries the Pixel Watch, an Active band, and the USB type C magnetic charge case.

The smartwatch appears to have a minimalistic design alongside interchangeable bands that would offer the users more customization. On Oct. 6, Google will unveil its first Pixel-branded smartwatch, called the Pixel Watch. So far, the rumor mill has revealed the details of the Pixel Watch in bits and pieces. Last week, the search engine giant released a video teaser to showcase the design of its upcoming watch from all angles. Ahead of the launch, multiple leaks have surfaced to reveal the design and key features of the Pixel Watch.

The Pixel Watch leaked marketing materials published on SlashLeaks reveal that it will come in black, silver, and gold color variants. The above images show that users will be able to choose from band choices such as lemongrass, olive, red, grey, beige / brown and green. The images also give a good look at the round dial and the crown of the Pixel Watch.

The leaked promo materials state that it will come with a 5ATM water-resistant chassis with scratch-proof Gorilla Glass. It will offer health tracking features like a sleep monitor, heart rate tracker, and ECG tracking. Other features include emergency mode, quick pairing with Pixel Buds, and 6 months of Fitbit Premium subscription.

Here is a leaked commercial for the Pixel Watch by tipster Snoopy Tech, which confirms some of its key features. It mentions that the smartwatch will have a sleek design with 3 finishes. As mentioned above, it is expected to come in shades like matte black, silver, and gold. The disclaimer that can be seen in the video reveals that Google will be offering metal bands for Pixel Watch buyers later this winter. Other features that are revealed in the video include heart rate tracking, maps for Wear OS, Google Assistant, Google Wallet, Help by Google, and Health by Fitbit.

The “Google News” Telegram channel has also published several marketing materials for the Pixel Watch. Google is expected to officially launch its first-ever smartwatch at the upcoming launch event on 6th October, where the company will be launching its next-generation Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flagship smartphones.

Ahead of the official launch in the coming days, the retail box of Google’s Pixel Watch has been leaked online, but it doesn’t reveal much about the wearable device.

The leaked image of the retail box was captured at Target DC and shows that the box has a Fitbit branding. This indicates that the Wear OS-powered smartwatch will also come with the integration of Fitbit, making it the first such device in the market.

As the retail box has appeared in Target, it could mean that the device will be released as soon as it gets unveiled on 6th October. The Pixel 7 series is also expected to be up for pre-order on the day it gets announced and will start shipments on 18th October. Google Pixel Watch has been officially teased. The search giant shared a short video of its first-ever smartwatch on its official YouTube and Twitter handles. It gives us a better look at the upcoming wearable device from all angles. The Google Pixel Watch is set to debut alongside the Pixel 7 series at the ‘Made by Google’ event on October 6th

It was long rumoured that Google’s first ever smartwatch will feature a circular dial. This was confirmed at I/O 2022 as well as in the latest teaser video. The latter also reveals the design and circular elements of the smartwatch. The display is seen with curved edges, however, it remains unclear how big the circular bezel is going to be since Google has only shown Black watch faces.

As per the video, the Google Pixel Watch features a minimalistic design. There is a traditional crown-like button on the right side that could work similarly to Apple Watch’s digital crown. There is also a physical button above the crown and a small cutout below it. Additionally, the teaser shows a proprietary strap attachment system from Google. The wearable device is seen in Mint Green, Grey, and Black colours.

Apart from this, the teaser video does not reveal anything more about the Pixel Watch. Google has a tendency to unveil its hardware product ahead of the official announcement, and despite that being the case this time, details about the brand’s first smartwatch, dubbed Google Pixel Watch, remains unknown.

The company is all set to launch the Pixel Watch as well as the next-generation Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flagship smartphones on 6th October. Now, ahead of the launch, color options and pricing details for the Pixel Watch have leaked online.

As per the latest report, the Google Pixel Watch will have a starting price of $349.99, which cites internal retailer listing pictures as a source for this information. If that’s the case, then the US pricing for the smartwatch is pretty much confirmed, but we will have to wait for the official announcement to know for sure.

The Wi-Fi-only model is expected to come in three color options — Black/Obsidian, Silver/Chalk, and Gold/Hazel. On the other hand, the LTE model of the Pixel Watch will also have three color options, which include Black/Obsidian, Silver/Charcoal, and Gold/Hazel.

The report also goes on to debunk the previously leaked European pricing for the Pixel Watch, which suggested price in the range of €250 and €350, and adds that the price in the European market will start north of €300.

Given the suggested pricing, the upcoming Google Pixel Watch, powered by the latest Wear OS from the technology giant, will sit somewhere between the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Apple Watch Series 8.

And recently, the search giant confirmed that it will be launching its first-ever smartwatch alongside the Pixel 7 smartphones on October 6 at the “Made by Google” event. Ahead of the launch, a new report is here with the pricing details and color options of the upcoming Pixel Watch. Here are the details.

Pricebaba, citing tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, has revealed that the Google Pixel Watch will be offered in three colorways—Chalk, Charcoal, and Obsidian. In addition, the publication claims the Wi-Fi version of the wearable would cost around €250 (roughly $250/Rs 19,250) and €350 (roughly $350/Rs 27,900) in Europe. We can expect the Pixel watch to cost comparatively less in the Indian subcontinent.

For the uninitiated, the Pixel watch will likely arrive in three variants. One model may support only Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while the rest two variants could offer LTE connectivity as well. Previous leaks suggest the Pixel Watch LTE variant will cost around $399 (Rs 31,800) in the States.

If we talk about the specifications, the Google Pixel Watch will likely feature an OLED screen. It may be powered by an older Exynos 9110 chipset paired with 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM. Rumors also suggest the watch’s processor will be accompanied by an additional processor to share the load. In addition, it will offer 32GB of native storage and run on WearOS.

The Pixel Watch will likely arrive with support for Google Assistant and Google apps like Maps. The Pixel watch is said to last just a day on a single charge. This may vary if AOD is enabled or sleep tracking is on. The watch is also rumored to charge fully in 110 minutes, which is very slow if you compare it to other watches in the segment.

Google is long rumored to be working on a new Pixel Watch that will compete in the smartwatch market. Now, a new report has revealed that the smart wearable will launch alongside the Pixel 7 series and even revealed its possible price tag as well.

The news arrives from a 9To5Google report, who revealed the expected pricing of the upcoming Pixel Watch for the US market. Looking at the report, it appears that the Pixel Watch will be launched in two variants, which includes a Bluetooth only and LTE version. Apparently, the new Pixel Watch will cost somewhere around 399 US Dollars in the US, although, this is the price tag for the LTE enabled version of the smartwatch.

In other words, the pricing for the Bluetooth only model is unknown, but it will likely be slightly more affordable than the LTE model. For comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 starts from 329 US Dollars for the LTE version, while the higher end Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a price tag of 499 US Dollars. Similarly, the Apple Watch Series 7 LTE version has a price tag of 499 US Dollars for its cellular enabled variant.

This basically means that the Pixel Watch will compete against the likes of high end smartwatches from other established brands. From what we know so far, the new Pixel Watch will run on Wear OS that will support Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other Google services and smart notifications. The Google Pixel Watch has been making the rounds online, with multiple reports revealing slight tidbits of information regarding the upcoming smartwatch. Now, a more reliable source has revealed some interesting details regarding the battery life of the Pixel Watch.

According to a 9To5Google report, the battery details of the Pixel Watch was revealed in the Fitbit app for Android. Digging around in the app, references to the search engine giant’s new smartwatch was found on the application. The app states that “You’ll need at least 30% charge to track a full night’s sleep”. Typically, eight hours of sleep is the commended standard for sleep duration, so 30 percent of the smartwatch’s battery life being required to cover this duration means that the Pixel Watch will have a total battery life of around 24 hours.

In other words, the Pixel Watch will have a battery life similar to that of the Apple Watch and is not competing with some of the top smartwatches in the market that offer longer battery life. For those unaware, Google owns Fitbit, although, its not clear what kind of support the Fitbit app will bring for the upcoming Pixel Watch since there has been rumors regarding the company working on a dedicated Pixel Watch app.

As of right now, the 24 hour battery life is quite lackluster in the smart wearable market. It is the bare minimum that a company could offer that would seem practical in daily use. Furthermore, charging the product overnight or even during the day would make it even less appealing in the market. Keep in mind that this is still unconfirmed officially by the company, so take this report with a pinch of salt for now.

Google officially revealed the Pixel watch at its I/O event earlier in May, and since then new details have been released with hints as to what we can expect from the upcoming watch. Previous reports have suggested the possible battery size of the smartwatch (300mAh). But now a new report might have revealed details about the smartwatch’s battery life, and trust me it’s not what you may have expected.

9to5Google, citing sources, has reported that the Pixel Watch will be to last just a day on a single charge. This is Google‘s current estimate at this point in the pre-release life cycle, and it may alter before the launch. Also, it’s not certain whether Google enabled features like Always-On Display (AOD) or sleep tracking during the testing.

If the current estimate is to be believed then the Google watch is fairly disappointing, it is turning into just another smartwatch in the market. Google aims to compete with premium watches like the Galaxy Watch 4 and Apple Watch Series 7, we are not sure about other specifications but it is definitely at par with them in terms of battery time.

If this wasn’t enough for you, we have one more disappointing piece of information. This time it’s about the Charging time of the Pixel Watch. As per the report, the Pixel watch does not even support fast charging, the Google watch takes around the same time to fully charge as the Galaxy Watch 4, which is somewhat longer than 110 minutes.

It’s not quite as fast as Apple’s Series 7 lineup, which claims 0-80% in 45 minutes and 0–100% in 75 minutes using USB-C and a 20W adapter. However, it’s worth noting that the Pixel watch is still in the production stage and these estimates could possibly change.

Google Pixel Watch was unveiled alongside the Pixel 6a during the I/O 2022 event as the company’s first smartwatch. The launch of the highly anticipated watch is due in October. However, the specifications of the watch have already started getting leaked. Last week, it was rumored that the smartwatch will be powered by an outdated Exynos 9110 processor and a new report today confirms that the Pixel Watch is actually powered by an Exynos 9110 SoC, but with some help from a second chip.

9to5Googe, citing sources, has confirmed that the 2018 Exynos 9110 chipset will indeed power Google’s first smartwatch, but it will be accompanied by a co-processor meant to relieve the 9110 of some of the load. It is possible that this additional chipset could come with Tensor branding, however, it’s unclear if Google intends to extend its branding to wearables.

Google seems to have taken inspiration from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC which has a main CPU accompanied by a secondary “ultra-low” power co-processor that supports up to 64K colors and powers the always-on display. This takes the load off the main CPU and also helps the watch achieve better battery life.

The publication also reports that Pixel Watch would have 32GB of storage. That’s more storage than any other Wear OS device available on the market. It will be interesting to see how it will be utilized. Moreover, the Pixel watch is also said to surpass every smartwatch in terms of RAM. For reference, Galaxy Watch 4 has 1.5GB of RAM, and Google’s wearable is going to carry slightly more RAM than that.

As seen above, the sensors on the wearable’s back appear to be identical to the sensor array used in the Fitbit Luxe and Fitbit Charge 5. The technology in question can monitor heart rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen), and ECG, and since Google owns Fitbit, recycling sensors like this seems only logical.

Google has announced the much-expected Pixel Watch. We have been hearing rumors about the Pixel-brand watch for the last 4 years and Google finally made it official at the I/O 2022. The official launch is still months away and the specifications of the watch are yet to be known. However, there’s a report floating around that reveals some interesting and also surprising information regarding the processor of the watch. The report claims that the Pixel Watch will arrive with a 2018 Exynos processor.

9to5Google has learned from its sources that the Google Pixel watch will be using Samsung’s Exynos 9110 chip which was first released 4 years ago. The chip debuted with the Samsung Galaxy Watch in 2018.

Earlier, it was rumoured that the smartwatch would be powered by the Samsung Exynos W920, the same processor that powers the Galaxy Watch 4. This would have given the Pixel Watch an upper edge over its competitors, but it seems like Google chose to self-sabotage itself with a 4-year-old processor from a discontinued watch.

After several weeks of extended hype, Google has finally announced the release of the Pixel Watch. We have been serenaded for several weeks with leaks and photos of the Pixel Watch. Now the wait for the device is over, Google today announced the device although more details are likely to follow later. Google has indicated that the Pixel Watch will arrive in markets this fall, together with the Pixel 7 smartphone.

The raft of rumors relating to the Pixel Watch had remained at a crescendo within the past couple of weeks. Given the quantum of details about the device already available prior to its official announcement, there are no surprises. It sports a circular, domed design with a tactile crown and side button present. The product is made from recyclable stainless steel and offers swappable bands. The Pixel Watch runs on an improved Wear OS 3 offering improvements across several aspects. There is the option of a cellular version of the Pixel Watch for users interested in standalone connectivity.

The Pixel Watch comes with traditional Google apps as well as the Fitbit integration as rumored. The Google apps include Google Maps, Assistant, Wallet, and Google Home. Emergency SOS is also featured in the new and improved Wear OS. This means that the Pixel Watch can be used to contact your friend or emergency services when the user is in distress. The Fitbit integration provides insights into several health and fitness features monitored by the device.

The tempo of leaks relating to the unreleased Google Pixel Watch could point in one direction – an imminent launch. The past couple of weeks has seen a raft of rumors and pictures connected with the Pixel Watch. Now, another leak has provided new details about the pricing and availability of the Pixel Watch.

The Google Pixel Watch is rumored to be launched this year and the most recent leak showed the device on a man’s wrist. The new details leaked relate to its price, availability, and some previously unknown aspects of the device itself. The details emanated from a tweet by tipster Yogesh Brar who hints that the price of the Pixel Watch will range between $300 and $400. The pricing range shows that the Pixel Watch could be more expensive than a Fitbit wearable. It is projected to be in the same price range as the Apple Watch Series 7 or Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

Brar’s tweet also says that the Pixel Watch will not be globally available, but only a few markets will get the device. This trajectory is similar to what has been for the Pixel phones so far. It is also rumored that the Pixel Watch will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos chipset. This will signal an increasing partnership between Google and Samsung. It has already been said that the Pixel Watch will run on WearOS 3.1 and it will come with a similar sensor lineup as the Galaxy Watch.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have reported on various rumors and reports regarding the Google Pixel Watch. Now, the latest sighting of the company’s first smartwatch might have been on a known certification website.

For those unaware, the Search Engine giant’s smartwatch is codenamed “Rohan”. Its live images were also recently revealed after someone “accidentally” left the device in a restaurant. Now, MySmartPrice recently spotted a couple of unnamed Google devices on Bluetooth SIG certification website. These devices carried the model numbers GWT9R, GBZ4S, and GQF4C. The report added that these listings might be the SKUs for the upcoming Pixel Watch, which also hints that its announcement is just around the corner.

As per the Bluetooth SIG listing, the device name is mentioned as the “WearOS Bluetooth Host Subsystem,” which further hints at it actually being the Pixel Watch. As of right now, finer details regarding the upcoming Pixel Watch is still at large, although, the previously leaked live images showcased the device with a circular display that has minimal bezels. Furthermore, it is expected to arrive in two color options, including a Black and Silver model, which will launch along with 20 watchbands as well.

A Reddit post has provided some pictures of the Google Pixel Watch on a man’s wrist. This adds to the hype and speculation surrounding the Pixel Watch. Although there is no foolproof verification that the device was indeed the unreleased Pixel Watch, it is worth scrutinizing.

The Reddit user tagtech414 who provided the wrist pictures of the alleged Pixel Watch has previously shared images of the Pixel Watch. The real identity of the tipster remains shrouded but he could possibly be connected with the Google Pixel Watch project. The tipster is also yet to show us a picture of the device switched on for us to view the display. The latest pictures are the first to show the device strapped to a wrist. The tipster says the strap of the Pixel Watch seems difficult to connect for the first time. He however says that the connection feels solid after it is strapped. Redditor tagtech414 also says that the device is very comfortable on the wrists.

The strap of the alleged Pixel Watch was described by tagtech414 as a soft silicone with good flex. It is also capable of masking fingerprints or oil marks, that are not visible instantly. The band was said to be 20mm wide and bears a close semblance with the Fitbit Charge 5. It should be noted that the Pixel Watch has a similar sensors lineup as the Fitbit Charge 5. The authenticity of the Pixel Watch is still clouded in uncertainty on the basis of the tipster’s post. There are still some loose ends in the tipster’s claims. When formal renders of the device are released, that’s when we can properly situate the new pictures.

The speculations and rumors surrounding the yet-to-be-released Google Pixel Watch are gradually unraveling. Google has filed a trademark for the Pixel Watch which could indicate that the device could be launched anytime from now, possibly within 2022. This news adds to the renders and leaks surrounding the Pixel Watch that has been on the radar for some time. The trademark filing was at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which applied for the Pixel Watch trademark name.

As per the trademark filing itself, Google says the Pixel Watch will cover the categories of smartwatches, watch cases, smart wearable computers, smartwatch bands, and straps. It is unclear whether the date specified on the trademark filing (April 22, 3022) is correct, but the application has been accepted by the USPTO. The filing is reported to have met the minimum requirements and awaits the assigning of an examiner. The highly anticipated Google Pixel Watch, which is the company’s first Pixel series smartwatch, has been surfacing in rumors for some time now. But just recently, the wearable that is codenamed “Rohan” was spotted in new renders, which gives us a closer look at its design.

For those unaware, early renders of the Search engine giant’s Pixel Watch have already revealed that the smartwatch features a circular display and a digital crown. This was further confirmed in recent unofficial renders from FrontPageTech. And now, a 91Mobiles report has shared another render, which showcases some aspects of the upcoming wearable’s UI (User Interface).

Looking at this render, we can see that the Pixel Watch features a round display that has negligible bezels and a digital crown, which is likely for controls. But on closer inspection of the render, we can see that there is a counter or step tracking and heart rate monitoring as well. Although, a notable inclusion is the built in integration for Fitbit. In other words, this shows that the brand plans on using its subsidiary’s long standing experience in fitness tracking features.

Unfortunately, that is all the information shared in the new report and there were no finer details revealed. Meaning, its specifications, possible pricing, or even launch timeline are still unknown.
