Raji: An Ancient Epic

Raji took the gaming world by storm with its unique setting back in 2020. Despite its rich history and culture, Indian mythology remains largely unexplored in video games. But Raji was a breath of fresh air with an active-adventure title inspired by Indian epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata. The game has you take on the role of Raji. She is a young girl who has been chosen by the gods to take on the demonic invasion of the human realm. This game is available for the PS4 and PS5.

The Crew 2

If you’re a speed freak with a yearning for unbound freedom, the Crew 2 might be your fix. The game is a racing title that lets you shoot your way through the roads, air, and even the sea. Players can seamlessly switch between a land, water, and air based vehicle and take part in various races across the open-world map. Bad News PlayStation Plus Fans, Sony Hikes Prices Of Annual Subscription Across All Tiers

Earlier today, Sony released the monthly PlayStation Plus games for September. Now, fans of the subscription service are in for bad news. The Japanese brand issued a statement that it has raised its prices for annual PS Plus subscription across all tiers that was introduced last year. For those unaware, Sony’s PS Plus subscription is similar to Microsoft Xbox’s Game Pass which offers free games to download every month during the membership duration. There are also other benefits like exclusive discounts, cloud saves, and online multiplayer access.

Sony PS Plus subscriptions gets price hike

Sony did not explicitly reveal the reason for increasing the prices of the PlayStation Plus subscriptions. The company added that it will be implemented globally and enable them to continue offering high-quality games and value-added benefits to the service. The newly revised prices of the PS Plus subscription will come into effect from September 6. Current PS Plus subscribers won’t be affected due to the price hike until their next renewal date which occurs on or after November 6. However, any modifications to the membership such as upgrades, downgrades, or buying additional time will be reflected in the new prices.

PlayStation Plus is a membership service that is necessary for online play on the PS4 and PS5 consoles. It is offered in three tiers namely Essential, Extra, and Deluxe. All three categories have received a price hike. The price of the 12-month Essential subscription that gives three games monthly has increased from $60 to $80. The PS Plus Extra offers similar benefits as the Essential tier, however, along with access to a large range of PS4 and PS5 titles. Its price has been hiked from $100 to $135. Lastly, the PS Plus Deluxe which is the most premium tier is becoming expensive from $120 to $160. It incorporates all the benefits of essential and extra tiers while also offering access to catalog of PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP. It’s worth noting that the revised prices vary from region to region.

Despite the price hike of the annual PlayStation Plus subscriptions, all tiers are still cheaper than purchasing one-month or three-month memberships over a 12-month period. Regardless, the increased prices of the PS Plus have not been well received by the fans. Hopefully, Sony will provide access to better monthly games for subscribers.

Saints Row (2022)

Saints Row 2022 is an action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by Deep Silver. Deep Silver wanted to return to the classic play style of the open-world adventure and rebooted the entire franchise with the 2022 instalment. This time, your character forms his gang to take over the city with the help of a few friends. The game also supports co-op mode, where you can invite friends and start progressing through the story. There are numerous funny emotes and execution styles, which makes the game more fun.

Generation Zero

Generation Zero is an open-world stealth-action shooter game in a world where machines have taken over. You can collaborate with your friends to explore a vast open world map inspired by the Swedish Cold War era. Sony PlayStation Plus to Bring This New Feature to a 24yr Old Classic PS1 Game

Sony is apparently planning on bringing a new feature update to a classic PlayStation 1 era title. The new update for the 24 year old game could be arriving from the company’s PlayStation Plus premium service.

For those unaware, PlayStation Plus is the Japanese tech giant’s most expensive tier on its newly overhauled PS Plus service. There are various benefits offered to PS Plus buyers, which includes the ability to play certain PS1, PS2, and PSP games at no extra cost. Buyers can even gain access to streaming select PS3 titles as well. Premium users can also download trials for a set duration, allowing them to try out games for a limited time (like 3 hours for God of War Ragnarok) as a part of this subscription plan.

But now, sources have revealed that this is also bringing updates to much older games as well. This includes The Legend of Dragoon. Apparently, the PS Plus Premium Tier would offer a new trophy system, which wasn’t even a feature available more than two decades ago. Although, this feature might no be ready for launch yet. But sources have claimed that the trophies for The Legend of Dragoon will be added soon after the release on PS Plus Premium.

The Premium service is set to launch February 21. Sony has recently been adding trophy support for classic games that were available on PS Plus Premium. This includes titles like No Heroes Allowed and Super Stardust Portable. So it won’t be very surprising if the company also brings trophy support for The Legend of Dragoon.

Sony unveils all-new PlayStation Plus to compete against the Xbox Game Pass

Yesterday, we reported that Sony is preparing to introduce a new videogame subscription service for the PlayStation this week. Now, the company has officially announced this service, revealing that it is a fusion between the PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now and retains the PlayStation Plus name.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) states that the new subscription service will be made available in three tiers. The first is the PlayStation Plus Essential, which is basically the service in its current state and provides users with at least 2 free games every month along with access to multiplayer.

The next tier dubbed the PlayStation Plus Extra will provide players with a catalog of 400 downloadable games including blockbuster hits from the PlayStation Studios catalog and third-party partners.

The PlayStation Plus Premium subscription provides all the benefits from the Essential and Extra tiers and adds up to 340 additional games including PS3 games available via cloud streaming and beloved classic games available in both streaming and download options from the original PlayStation, PS2, and PSP generations. This tier will also offer time-limited game trials so so customers can try select games before they buy. It would be interesting to see if this service will also be made available for new titles so users can try them before they buy.

At launch, Sony plans to include titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal.

Sony has also assured that most PlayStation Network territories will have the new PlayStation Plus service by the end of the first half of 2022. SIE has also revealed the prices of their subscription service for various territories like the US, Europe, UK, and Japan which you can check out on their official blog post.
