Poco C65 appears on Singapore’s IMDA, launch seems imminent

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is extensively working to bring affordable smartphones to attract new customers in different market segments. In addition, the company is set to unveil a new mid-range smartphone i.e. Poco C65. The smartphone has already appeared in multiple leaks and renders. The recent FCC listing confirmed it as a rebrand of the yet-to-launch Redmi 13C. Surprisingly, the Poco C65 global variant surfaced on Singapore’s IMDA certification, confirming the upcoming launch.

The listing with model number 2310FPCA4G doesn’t reveal anything in particular but does confirm the presence of NFC. The global variant of the smartphone will house support for LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11ac, and NFC.

Poco C65 and Redmi 13C Previous Leaks

The Poco C55 successor is expected to bring some new advancements in terms of specifications and hardware. As per leaked renders, the Redmi 13C aka Poco C65 will bundle a water-drop notch display and a 50MP primary sensor on the rear.

Apart from the Redmi 13C 4G variant, there’s also a 5G variant that could come with model 23124RN87C, 23124RN87G, and 23124RN87I in respective regions. It will highly likely bundle the Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset.

Poco C65 will feature the same Redmi 13C colors of Black, Blue, and Light Green.

After the Poco C65 launch, we expect the company to launch successors for the Poco C51 and Poco C50 too.

Poco C65’s predecessor was launched earlier this year with some decent specifications to cater to the mid-range market segment. In features, it bundles octa-core Helio G85 SoC and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU,6 GB RAM, 128G Storage, a 5000 mAh battery, and a 6.71-inch HD+ display.

Poco C55 global model appears on NBTC & Geekbench with Helio G85 SoC

Poco recently launched the C55 smartphone in India. The device launched as the brand’s latest budget range offering with MediaTek Helio G85 chipset under the hood. Now, the global variant of this device has been spotted on the NBTC listing as well as Geekbench.

NBTC certification has the device listed with model number 22127PC95G. The G at the end of the model number stands for the global variant. The listing confirms the POCO C55 moniker.

As for the Geekbench listing, the device is revealed to feature an octa-core processor with a 2 + 6 core configuration and a 2.0GHz peak clock speed. It has 3GB RAM and runs on an Android 12-based operating system. The device scored 368 points in the single-core test and 1165 points in the multi-core test of Geekbench 5. From these results, it is clear that the device is using a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, the same one as the Indian variant. Going by this, we can assume that the other specs will also be similar.

The Poco C55 Indian variant features a 6.71-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 120Hz touch sampling rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The display is protected by Panda Glass. The smartphone features a single camera on the back accompanied by an LED flash. It has a 50MP resolution and an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, the device features a 5MP selfie snapper. The camera offers features like portrait mode, night mode, time-lapse, and HDR. The device comes preloaded with an MIUI 13-based Android 12 OS, which includes MIUI Dialer instead of Google Dialer.

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset which is paired with 4GB / 6 GB of RAM, up to 5 GB of virtual RAM, and 64 GB / 128 GB of storage. A large 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging is available. Additionally, the device offers a micro USB port, dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio slot. The Poco C55 is the second C-series Poco phone to launch in India this year. In January, the company unveiled the POCO C50 with entry-level specs. The C55, with a better chipset onboard, is a more powerful device. It features a waterdrop notch screen with a tall aspect ratio on the front, and its back panel has an attractive leather-like stitch design. Here is a look at all the specifications of the C55.

On the first sale date (Feb. 28), both variants will be available for Rs 8,499 (~$103) and Rs 9,999 (~$121). The discounted prices include up to Rs 1,000 in bank discounts made available by HDFC, SBI, and ICICI Banks. The C55 can be purchased in three shades: Power Black, Cool Blue, and Forest Green.

POCO has just revealed the Indian launch date for its upcoming C55 smartphone model. The company had recently confirmed that the handset will be arriving in the Indian market, and now, its official release date has also been revealed.

As per the latest official tweet, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on launching the new POCO C55 in India on 21st February 2023. For those unaware, it is a budget grade handset and will be a part of the company’s C series of smartphones. Based on what we know so far about the upcoming phone, the C55 is expected to feature a dual camera setup on the rear. It will have a large camera island module that also houses a rear mounted fingerprint scanner as well for added security.

Furthermore, previous teasers has also hinted at a leather like back panel design as well. The company has yet to reveal any finer details regarding the C55, although, this model is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, but with a new rear design. Meaning, the internal specifications are likely similar if not identical. The Redmi 12C was launched in China back in January and sports a tall 6.71 inch HD+ display and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter on the front.

Poco X5 GT & Poco C55 Appear on TKDN Indonesia Database Ahead of Launch

Poco has recently launched the Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro smartphones in India and other global markets. The brand also has a few more devices planned for the near future. One of these is the Poco X5 GT which was recently spotted on the BIS certification website.

Now, the phone has appeared on Indonseia’s TKDN database alongside the Poco C55. According to TKDN certification, the upcoming Poco C55 smartphone will have the model number 22127PC95G and support 4G connectivity. It is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C launched in China.

The POCO X5 GT, on the other hand, is expected to come with 5G connectivity and has been listed with the model number 23049PCD8G. The same model number has also been listed in the Indian BIS certification, suggesting that it could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo for international markets.

The Poco C55 smartphone is expected to feature a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1650×720 pixels and will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

The phone will likely come with a rear-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 0.8MP depth camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera housed in a dewdrop notch. It will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. The global variant will have NFC connectivity, while the Indian variant will not.

Poco X5 GT Specifications

The POCO X5 GT is rumored to come with a 6.67-inch OLED display that supports Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

In terms of camera, the phone is expected to have a similar setup to the Redmi Note 12 Pro, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. POCO has recently launched the POCO C50 smartphone in India. Recent reports have revealed that the next C-series phone from the brand will be called the POCO C55 when it arrives in the market. In September 2022, the device was spotted with model number 22127PC95G at the EEC certification in Europe. Now, it has been approved by Singapore’s IMDA authority.

The IMDA listing does not reveal anything significant about the specifications of the POCO C55. It only reveals that the device has support for Bluetooth and WiFi. Reports surrounding it have revealed that it will be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, which debuted in China recently.

Poco just unveiled the Poco C50 last week. The device is on sale starting today in India. According to a reliable source, the brand may soon release a better version of this handset called Poco C55.

Thankfully, all the key features of this upcoming phone are already known. Because it is going to be a rebranded version of an existing Redmi smartphone. Let’s go through the details.

According to Kacper Skrzypek, Poco may launch a new device called Poco C55. This phone will be a rebadged Redmi 12C, which went official in China on New Year’s Eve.

The tipster also reveals that the Redmi 12C will be making its international debut as well. It will be sold with and without NFC. On the other hand, the Poco C55 will lack NFC.

In terms of specs, the Poco C55 is expected to be the same as the Redmi 12C. However, it might have some visual changes on its rear.
