Though it is a flagship smartphone for the brand, it can be called a flagship killer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The meaning of ‘flagship killer’ has changed over the years. But one thing has remained constant and that’s the presence of a high-end chip.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-467380 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-B.jpg 1722w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Poco F4 5G not only has a powerful SoC but also comes with other features that are found on premium smartphones. All of these are clubbed in a single package that costs half of the average flagship smartphone price.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With that being said, let’s check out the reasons why the Poco F4 5G deserves the ‘flagship killer title.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>The Chipset Underneath</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The term flagship killer is usually associated with mid-range smartphones featuring the latest high-end chipset. The Poco F4 5G does not house the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or its advanced version Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Instead, it is run by a Snapdragon 870.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Despite being powered by a year-old Qualcomm chip, the Poco F4 5G can be still called a ‘flagship killer’. That’s because the Snapdragon 870 underneath it is more reliable than Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-467373 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Performance-Gaming.jpg?x44794" alt="Gaming on Poco F4 5G" width="743" height="496" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Performance-Gaming.jpg 743w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Performance-Gaming-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Performance-Gaming-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Performance-Gaming-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="(max-width: 743px) 100vw, 743px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The two-gen-old Qualcomm SoC offers better thermal efficiency. Hence, it is capable of providing sustained performance by consuming less energy. This makes the chip better than its poorly built successors. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the Poco F4 5G, the Snapdragon 870 is paired with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and liquid cooling technology consisting of a 3112mm² vapor chamber and a 7-layer graphite coverage.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Multimedia Experience</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Poco F4 5G comes with one of the best displays in its segment. The device sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC, and 1300 nits peak brightness.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-467377 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G's Display" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Display.jpg 2023w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It is one of the few smartphones on the market to carry support for Dolby Vision. The only other handset in the segment with this feature is Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The screen is paired with dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, which make up for the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also has support for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-467379 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G's Dual Stereo Speakers" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Dual-Stereo-Speakers.jpg 1814w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The aforementioned set of features is well-suited for consuming content on a mobile device. Additionally, thanks to the high-end chip, the gaming experience should be also phenomenal.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Lackluster Camera</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Generally, flagship killer smartphones are known for housing lackluster cameras. That’s the case with the Poco F4 5G as well, at least on paper.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The handset sports a triple camera system on the rear. The setup includes an OIS-assisted 64MP Omnivision OV64B primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, there’s a 20MP shooter for selfies and video calls.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-467375 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G's Cameras" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Cameras.jpg 2022w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Only the rear cameras are capable of recording 4K videos, while the front one is limited to shooting in 1080p. The last year’s Poco F3 5G at least has an incredible 5MP telemacro camera going for it but the Poco F4 5G has no such special feature.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<h2><b>All the Essentials</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Poco F4 5G comes with all the essentials. It arrives with useful features like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, an x-axis linear vibration motor, an IP53 rating for splash resistance, and NFC for contactless payments.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-467382 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-1024x683.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G's X Axis Linear Vibration Motor" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-1920x1280.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-X-Axis-Linear-Vibration-Motor.jpg 1971w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Further, the device offers 5G connectivity with support for multiple bands. In addition to WiFi 6, there’s also Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-frequency GNSS.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Finally, it is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging. The required charger, cable, a silicone case, and a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter are included in the retail box, unlike the actual flagship smartphones.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Sweet Pricing</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What makes the Poco F4 5G a flagship killer is its price. Despite offering flagship-level features, it carries a price tag of mid-range smartphones.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-467381 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F4 5G" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-1920x1080.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Poco-F4-5G-Featured-A-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In Europe, the Poco F4 5G is €50 costlier than the Poco F3 5G when it debuted last year. Whereas, in India, the phone is actually ₹2,000 cheaper than the Mi 11X 5G (Poco F3 5G for the region) from 2021. In every region, the brand is additionally offering discounts, which bring down the price even lower.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is how much the Poco F4 5G retails for.</span></p>

The successor of the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f3/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco F3 5G </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">has been confirmed to make its global debut in India and other markets at the same time.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It will be the first </span><a href="https://gizmochina.com/tag/Poco"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> F series smartphone in India since the launch of the original </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-pocophone-f1/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco F1</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in 2018. The country did not get the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f2-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco F2 Pro 5G</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and the Poco F3 5G.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The brand did release the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f3-gt/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco F3 GT</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> last year. But it is not a proper Poco F series phone as the GT series is distinctly focused on performance and gaming rather than the flagship killer tag.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s take a look at everything that’s known about the Poco F4 5G ahead of its official announcement.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_449800" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-449800" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-449800 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-10.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K40S" width="600" height="395" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-10.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-10-300x198.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-449800" class="wp-caption-text">Redmi K40S / Poco F4 5G</figcaption></figure>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Poco F4 5G Launch Date</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Poco F4 5G is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/16/poco-f4-5g-to-launch-globally-and-in-india-on-june-23rd-key-specifications-revealed/">scheduled</a> to launch on June 23. It will be announced in a live stream on Youtube, which will begin at 5:30 PM IST (8 PM GMT+8).</span></p>
<p>The handset will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/17/poco-x4-gt-launch-date-confirmed-could-be-a-rebranded-redmi-phone/">accompanied</a> by yet another device called Poco X4 GT 5G. This second phone will most likely not make its debut in India.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Poco F4 5G Design</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Going by the leaks and teasers, the upcoming Poco F4 5G will be a rebranded </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40s/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi 40S</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> with a different primary camera. Hence, it will feature the same design as the Redmi-branded device that </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/17/redmi-k40s-snapdragon-870-chip-ois-67w-fast-charging-launched/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">went official</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in China in March.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Poco F4 5G will sport a plastic body like the original Poco F1, however, it will come with the now-popular flat frame. The front will be occupied by a centered punch-hole display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_449802" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-449802" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-449802 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-8.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K40S" width="600" height="468" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-8.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-8-300x234.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-8-538x420.jpg 538w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-449802" class="wp-caption-text">Redmi K40S / Poco F4 5G</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Whereas, on the back, the phone will house a triple camera setup arranged in a  triangular fashion. These cameras will be placed in a circular module on a rectangular island.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The power and volume keys will reside on the right side, while the left side will include the SIM card slot. An IR blaster and a speaker grille will be on the top as opposed to a USB Type-C port and another speaker grille at the bottom.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lastly, the product will measure 163.2 x 75.95 x 7.7mm in dimensions and weigh 195g.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Poco F4 5G Specifications</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Poco/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> F4 5G is said to retain all the features of the Redmi K40S, except for the primary camera.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The phone will flaunt a 6.67-inch centered </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Samsung</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> E4 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and up to a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The 8-bit panel will have support for a 5000000:1 contrast ratio, 1300 nits peak brightness level, MEMC, and multiple HDR standards (Dolby Vision, HDR10+). <figure id="attachment_449803" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-449803" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-449803 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-7.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K40S" width="600" height="515" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-7.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-7-300x258.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-7-489x420.jpg 489w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-449803" class="wp-caption-text">Redmi K40S / Poco F4 5G</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As far as performance is concerned, the handset will be powered by a </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Snapdragon-870/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Qualcomm Snapdragon 870</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> SoC. The chipset will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and VC liquid cooling technology. It will boot </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-13/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">MIUI 13</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> based on </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Android 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Talking about optics, it will come with a triple camera system on the rear. The setup will comprise a 64MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. On the front, it will nest a 20MP shooter inside the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the connectivity front, the device will offer support for dual SIM card slots, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual GNSS, NFC (market dependent), and USB Type-C. It will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack like most smartphones these days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">However, it will arrive with Dolby Atmos-supported dual stereo speakers, an x-axis linear vibration motor, and an IR blaster. It will also carry support for Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, and IP53 rating for splash resistance.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_449801" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-449801" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-449801 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-9.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K40S" width="600" height="395" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-9.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/redmi-k40s-9-300x198.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-449801" class="wp-caption-text">Redmi K40S / Poco F4 5G</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The handset will carry almost all the essential sensors, like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, 360° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, compass, and a color correction sensor. It will not feature a proximity sensor like almost all the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> smartphones released in the last few quarters in favor of Elliptic Labs’ virtual proximity sensing.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Finally, the device will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging and charging protocols like </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Qualcomm/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Qualcomm</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Quick Charge 3+ as well as USB Power Delivery 3.0.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><b>Poco F4 5G Expected Price</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to a </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/13/poco-f4-5g-specs-india-pricing-leaked-ahead-of-launch/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">leak</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the 8GB + 256GB variant of Poco F4 5G will retail at $459 globally. The same version is said to cost ₹26,999 in India. With bank offers, the price may go as low as ₹23,999.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The pricing, especially for India, sounds too good to be true.  We believe the smartphone will cost slightly more, given the global economy.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The same SoC is also found inside last year’s </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f3/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Poco F3 5G</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, which goes by </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-mi-11x/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mi 11X 5G</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in India and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi K40</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">  in China. The chipset also powers other popular flagship killer smartphones like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/05/31/iqoo-neo-6-launched-in-india-with-120hz-oled-display-snapdragon-870-80w-charging/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iQOO Neo 6 (India)</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-iqoo-7-india/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">iQOO 7 (India)</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/06/07/realme-gt-neo-3t-launched-with-120hz-amoled-display-snapdragon-870-80w-charging/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Realme GT Neo 3T</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-neo2/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Realme GT Neo 2</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thanks to a leak, we know more about the Poco F4 5G apart from its SoC. The device is nothing but a rebranded </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k40s/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Redmi K40S</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Therefore, the Poco F4 5G will arrive with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Its chip will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The handset will boot </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-13/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">MIUI 13</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> based on </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Android 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. It will come with dual stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last but not least, the Poco F4 5G will feature a 64MP OIS-assisted primary camera instead of an OIS-assisted 48MP main camera on the Redmi K40S. Anyway, it is expected to have the same 8MP ultra-wide unit, 2MP macro snapper, and 20MP front-facing shooter.</span></p>
