<p>With the launch of both <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/26/poco-f8-pro-releases-globally-with-snapdragon-8-elite-hyperos-3-huge-battery-for-under-600/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO F8 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/26/poco-f8-ultra-launches-globally-flagship-killer-specs-denim-aesthetic-premium-bose-sound/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO F8 Ultra</a>, buyers now have two powerful “affordable flagships” to choose from. These devices are rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max for the global market, bringing high end specs for an approachable price. However, both bring different sets of features and pricing. So in this article, we’ll break down their differences to help you pick the version that fits you best.</p>

<h3>POCO F8 Ultra vs POCO F8 Pro: Design, Display, &amp; Multimedia Experience</h3>

<p>Display size and presentation are a clear differentiator. The POCO F8 sports a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3500 nits of peak brightness. Meanwhile, the overall design appears to have a large camera module that seems inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro. On the other hand, the POCO F8 Ultra offers a much larger 6.9-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1-3500 nits of peak brightness. So the F8 Pro is better for those who want a relatively compact phone, while the F8 Ultra brings a better watching experience.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="964" height="542" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-715994" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1.jpg 964w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px" /><figcaption>POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>When it comes to audio and media consumption, both phones benefit from “Sound by Bose” stereo tuning. But the F8 Ultra also includes a dedicated rear subwoofer along with the stereo speakers, delivering deeper bass and fuller audio, which is a rare trait in smartphones. If you watch movies, play games, or care about multimedia immersion, that extra audio punch makes the F8 Ultra stand out.</p>

<h3>Camera Capability &amp; Versatility</h3>

<p>Photography and zoom flexibility are another key area of divergence. The POCO F8 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Light Fusion main sensor (OIS, 1/1.55-inch) along with a 50MP telephoto shooter with a 2.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra wide angle lens, while the front houses a 20MP shooter for selfies and video calls. This offers great versatility and three usable image sensors on the rear.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="579" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-1024x579.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-713387" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-1024x579.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-300x170.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-768x434.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-1536x869.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-696x394.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-1068x604.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro-743x420.jpg 743w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Pro.jpg 1602w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>However, the POCO F8 Ultra basically upgrades all three cameras. It features a 50MP Light Fusion 950 main camera with OIS and a 1/1.31-inch sensor size that is paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra wide angle lens. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. If photography, zoomed shots, or content creation matters to you, the Ultra offers a noticeably more powerful setup.</p>

<h3>Battery, Charging &amp; Everyday Use</h3>

<p>Battery life and charging remain strengths for both phones, though with slight differences. The F8 Pro houses a 6,210 mAh battery, paired with 100 W wired fast charging for rapid top-ups. The F8 Ultra comes with a slightly larger 6,500mAh cell, and even adds 50W wireless charging on top of 100W wired fast charging. For most users, both phones will last a full day (or more) of heavy use. If you value wireless charging, media consumption, or just prefer the convenience, the F8 Ultra is definitely more versatile.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="750" height="458" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/POCO-F8-Pro.png?x44794" alt="POCO F8 Pro" class="wp-image-716770" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/POCO-F8-Pro.png 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/POCO-F8-Pro-300x183.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/POCO-F8-Pro-696x425.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/POCO-F8-Pro-688x420.png 688w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /><figcaption>POCO F8 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<h3>Performance</h3>

<p>Both models use Qualcomm’s flagship-class chipsets from the 8-series lineage and deliver strong performance. But the Ultra model easily edges ahead thanks to the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, offering better GPU and CPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the POCO F8 Pro. Long term performance for gaming, video editing, or even heavy daily use is better on the F8 Ultra, which is also more future proofed.</p>

<h3>Price &amp; Value</h3>

<p>Given their specs and features, the F8 Pro is the more compact, lighter, and likely more affordable option. The POCO F8 Ultra basically has an advantage in every key area, but the F8 Pro still offers a robust set of features. It is ideal for those who prefer balanced performance in a manageable form factor. Meanwhile, the F8 Ultra, with its larger screen, premium features, better cameras, and richer audio, pushes toward a “flagship killer” category that comes at a higher price tag and increased size. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Max" class="wp-image-713328" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi K90 Pro Max</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>It is also $150 more expensive than the Pro variant with all of its upgrades. In other words, the POCO F8 Pro is a great balanced phone for everyday use with a competent set of hardware and specs, while the F8 Ultra brings a more premium flagship level experience for those with a higher budget.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO </a>has officially launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO F8 Ultra</a> globally, bringing together flagship-level performance and a bold new design language. This model brings cutting edge hardware along with a unique new denim inspired look and a premium sound system. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h3>POCO F8 Ultra: Design &amp; Display</h3>

<p>To recall, the POCO F8 Ultra is basically a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k90-pro-max/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K90 Pro Max</a> (<strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/31/redmi-k90-pro-max-review-apple-took-away-the-plus-redmi-brought-it-back/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Review</a></strong>), which previously debuted in China. So we get an elongated camera module on the rear once again, which houses the triple cameras, LED flash, and the dedicated rear facing speaker with &#8220;Sound by Bose&#8221;. One of the colorways brings the new Denim look, which has a textured back. Although, this isn&#8217;t actually denim on the rear. For protection against the elements, you get an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Max" class="wp-image-713328" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/REDMI-K90-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20251031_111302.098.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>POCO F8 Ultra</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.9-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 3500 nits of peak brightness. This panel can even go as low as 1 nit in brightness levels. </p>

<h3>Performance</h3>

<p>The POCO F8 Ultra packs Qualcomm&#8217;s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which brings improved CPU, NPU, and graphics performance. This high end chipset is coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Under the hood, the POCO F8 Ultra is powered by a huge 6,500mAh battery pack, which supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="964" height="542" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-715994" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1.jpg 964w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-1-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px" /><figcaption>POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This is one of the downgrades from the Redmi K90 Pro Max&#8217;s larger 7,560mAh cell. Other notable features include NFC support, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 7, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. One of the big new features is the Bose tuned 2.1 stereo setup that includes bottom and top firing speakers and the large independent bass unit on the back. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco</a> today confirmed that it’s launching the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco F8 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">F8 Ultra </a>globally on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">November 26th</a>. The company has also revealed the design of the two phones, confirming one key detail: both are rebranded Redmi K90 models.</p>

<p>The standard Poco F8 Pro comes in three finishes: Black, Grey, and Aqua Blue. Its rear design closely mirrors what we’ve already seen on the Redmi K90 in China, including the same rectangular camera block with rounded corners. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="477" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Pro-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-715515" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Pro-Design.jpg 477w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Pro-Design-239x300.jpg 239w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Pro-Design-334x420.jpg 334w" sizes="(max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px" /></figure></div>

<p>The higher-end Poco F8 Ultra will be available in Blue and Black, but the Blue version stands out with a textured leather-style back panel. The camera module layout follows the Redmi K90 Pro Max pretty closely, and there’s a noticeable “Sound by Bose” badge near the cameras. This confirms the phone uses Bose’s tuning for a more detailed and immersive audio experience. </p>

<p>None of this is surprising, though. The F8 Pro and F8 Ultra have long been rumored (and in some markets openly acknowledged) to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The biggest difference seems to be battery size, with the POCO models reportedly carrying slightly smaller cells than their Redmi counterparts.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="486" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-715517" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design.jpg 486w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-243x300.jpg 243w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-324x400.jpg 324w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-Ultra-Design-340x420.jpg 340w" sizes="(max-width: 486px) 100vw, 486px" /></figure></div>

<p>Both devices have already been through several certification listings, and recent Geekbench entries fill in some of the performance details. The F8 Pro appears to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the F8 Ultra steps up to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The listings also point to Android 16 out of the box and a 16GB RAM option.</p>

<p>With the design now confirmed, all that’s left is pricing and full specs, and we won’t have to wait long. The POCO F8 series will make its global debut in less than a week.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco">Poco</a> has finally confirmed the Poco F8 series’ launch date. The below poster confirms that the next-generation F-series phone will be unveiled on Nov. 26 globally. The launch event will be held at Bali, Indonesia.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 series: What to expect?</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-819x1024.png?x44794" alt="Poco F8 series launch date" class="wp-image-715419" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-819x1024.png 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-240x300.png 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-768x960.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-696x870.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-1068x1335.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-336x420.png 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption>Poco F8 series launch date</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The F8 series will include three models, namely the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8">Poco F8</a>, F8 Pro, and F8 Ultra. However, the F8 is unlikely to go official through the Nov. 26 event. The said event will only see the arrival of the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra.</p>

<p>According to reports, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro">Poco F8 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra">F8 Ultra</a> will be tweaked versions of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90/">Redmi K90</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-pro-max">K90 Pro Max</a>, which recently debuted in China. While the Poco models will pack the same design and internals as their Redmi counterparts, the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra are said to pack comparatively smaller batteries than the K90 and K90 Pro Max.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 series specifications (expected)</strong></h3>

<p>The Poco F8 may feature a 6.59-inch OLED display, whereas the F8 Ultra could be equipped with a larger 6.9-inch OLED panel. Both phones are expected to offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The F8 duo will run on HyperOS 3-based Android 16.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 and F8 Ultra will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">8 Elite Gen 5</a> chipsets, respectively. Both phones will feature a 20-megapixel camera on the front. The Pro model’s rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.</p>

<p>The F8 Ultra’s rear camera will feature three 50-megapixel sensors for primary, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto cameras. The F8 Ultra is also expected to feature an additional rear speaker apart from the usual top and bottom speakers. Both phones are likely to support 100W wired charging, with the Ultra edition also offering 50W wireless charging.</p>

<p><strong>Update</strong>: A new poster released by the brand suggests that the Poco F8 series will be announced on November 26 globally. The headline of this post has been modified accordingly.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-819x1024.png?x44794" alt="Poco F8 series launch date" class="wp-image-715419" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-819x1024.png 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-240x300.png 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-768x960.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-696x870.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-1068x1335.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date-336x420.png 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-launch-date.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption>Poco F8 series launch date</figcaption></figure></div>

<p><strong>Original story continues&#8230;</strong></p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco">Poco</a> unveiled the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra in March 2025. There have been reports suggesting that their successor may debut much earlier than expected. It appears this rumour is accurate, as Poco Hong Kong has released what seems to be the first official teaser for the Poco F8 series.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 series officially teased</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="819" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-819x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco F8 series teaser" class="wp-image-715378" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-768x960.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-696x870.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-1068x1335.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser-336x420.jpg 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Poco-F8-series-teaser.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /><figcaption>Poco F8 series teaser</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Apart from releasing the above poster, Poco claimed that the upcoming device will not only feature the brand’s signature high-performance processor but also a completely new acoustic design. The company says this upgrade is intended to give users a smoother and more immersive gaming and multimedia experience directly on their phones.</p>

<p>While the brand has not revealed the name of the device, the teased design suggests that the company may soon launch the F8 series globally. Next month (December) will likely see the arrival of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro">Poco F8 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra">F8 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>As per reports, the Poco F8 series will be a rebranded version of the China-exclusive <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90/">Redmi K90</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-pro-max">K90 Pro Max</a>, with one major difference. It is speculated that the Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra will have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/10/poco-f8-ultra-f8-pro-global-launch-battery-storage-details/">smaller batteries</a> compared to their Chinese counterparts.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Pro will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> chipset, whereas its Ultra sibling will have the latest and more powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a> chipset.</p>

<p>The series also reportedly includes the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8">Poco F8</a>, which may debut a bit later. This device is said to be a rebranded version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-turbo-5-pro">Redmi Turbo 5 Pro</a>, which is yet to launch in China.</p>

<p>The brand is also said to be working on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/15/poco-pad-m1-specifications-color-options-and-price-leaked-ahead-of-launch/">the Poco Pad M1 tablet,</a> which again is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro.</p>

<p>The above screenshots show that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra">Poco F8 Ultra</a> bearing the model number 25102PCBEG has appeared in the Geekbench benchmarking platform database. The CPU and GPU details that have surfaced through the listing confirm that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which is paired with 16GB of RAM. It runs on Android 16, which will have a layer of HyperOS 3 on top.</p>

<p>The device managed to score 3,327 and 9,872 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Now that the device has emerged on Geekbench, it seems that the company could be internally testing its performance before the official announcement. Likely, the F8 series may debut before the end of this year.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Ultra seems to be based on the China-exclusive Redmi K90 Pro Max, which also features the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>. It is speculated that the F8 Ultra will borrow all its specs from the Redmi phone except for its battery. While the K90 Pro Max has a 7,500mAh battery, the F8 Ultra is said to pack a smaller 6,500mAh battery.</p>

<p>The F8 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch 2K 120Hz OLED screen equipped with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will feature a 50-megapixel front camera and a triple 50-megapixel camera setup, which includes a periscope telephoto camera, on the back. It will be available in 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB configurations and is expected to arrive in Black and Denim Blue shades.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a> is preparing the next <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco</a> lineup, with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco F8 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Poco F8 Ultra</a> expected to launch globally by late 2025 or early 2026. Both smartphones are said to be global versions of the Redmi K90 series, but leaks suggest Xiaomi will limit configurations and reduce battery capacity compared to the Chinese models.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Ultra is expected to be based on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-k90-pro-max/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K90 Pro Max</a>. According to leaker Paras Guglani, it will come with a smaller 6,500 mAh battery and fewer variants. The phone is likely to launch in two configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage. The 1 TB option available in China will not be released globally. Xiaomi is also said to reduce the color choices to Black and Denim Blue, while the Redmi K90 Pro Max offers more finishes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="751" height="631" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-110.png?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Max" class="wp-image-712497" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-110.png 751w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-110-300x252.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-110-696x585.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-110-500x420.png 500w" sizes="(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /><figcaption><em>Redmi K90 Pro Max</em></figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Poco F8 Pro will follow the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K90</a>’s design but with similar limitations. It is expected to come only in 12 GB RAM variants paired with either 256 GB or 512 GB storage. The base 8 GB variant seen in the Poco F6 series will not return. Reports indicate that the Poco F8 Pro may also skip the 7,100 mAh battery used in the Redmi K90, possibly in favor of a slimmer profile. Expected color options include Black, Blue, and Titanium Silver.</p>

<p>Certification listings have already confirmed that the Poco F8 Pro is approaching its launch. The device has been spotted in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/11/10/poco-f8-pro-appears-together-with-redmi-note-15-pro-4g-in-trda/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TDRA database in the UAE</a> under model number 2510DPC44G, as well as in Singapore and Thailand. It is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a flagship-grade AMOLED display, and Bose-tuned audio.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco">Poco</a> F8 Ultra surfaced in the database of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/31/poco-f8-pro-grabs-nbtc-approval-hinting-at-an-earlier-than-expected-launch/">Thailand’s NBTC certification</a> platform. At that time, the rumour mill speculated that the F8 Ultra may launch much earlier than its predecessor. In a new development, the Poco F8 Pro has bagged approval from the same certification. At the same time, both devices along with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> 17 and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi">Redmi</a> Note 15 (4G) have also received certification from the IMDA certification platform in Singapore.</p>

<h3><strong>Multiple Xiaomi phones bag IMDA certification</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="886" height="402" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Poco-F8-Ultra-Poco-F8-Pro-and-Redmi-Note-15-4G-IMDA-certified.png?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 17, Poco F8 Ultra, Poco F8 Pro, and Redmi Note 15 4G IMDA certified" class="wp-image-713394" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Poco-F8-Ultra-Poco-F8-Pro-and-Redmi-Note-15-4G-IMDA-certified.png 886w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Poco-F8-Ultra-Poco-F8-Pro-and-Redmi-Note-15-4G-IMDA-certified-300x136.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Poco-F8-Ultra-Poco-F8-Pro-and-Redmi-Note-15-4G-IMDA-certified-768x348.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Poco-F8-Ultra-Poco-F8-Pro-and-Redmi-Note-15-4G-IMDA-certified-696x316.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 17, Poco F8 Ultra, Poco F8 Pro, and Redmi Note 15 4G IMDA certified</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As can be seen above, a couple of new phones from Poco, Xiaomi, and Redmi have received approval from the IMDA authority. These include the Xiaomi 17’s global version with model number 25113PN0EG, the Redmi Note 15 (4G) with model number 2510DRA23E, and the two Poco phones with model numbers 2510DPC44G and 25102PCBEG.</p>

<p>The 25102PCBEG device is the Poco F8 Ultra, whereas the 2510DPC44G phone is the Poco F8 Pro, which has also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/31/poco-f8-pro-grabs-nbtc-approval-hinting-at-an-earlier-than-expected-launch/">surfaced in Thailand’s NBTC certification</a>. With multiple certifications under their belt, it appears that the F8 series may launch globally before the end of this year.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 series</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra/">Poco F8 Ultra</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro/">F8 Pro</a> are expected to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 Pro Max and Redmi K90, respectively, which recently debuted in China. While the F8 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the F8 Pro may arrive with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> onboard.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi Note 15 (4G)</strong></h3>

<p>While the base Note 15 (4G) has been approved by IMDA, its Pro version bearing the model number 25100RA69G has already been certified by the same certification platform earlier this month. There are no concrete details about the chipsets that will power these models.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 17</strong></h3>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17/">Xiaomi 17</a> with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a> is the company’s most powerful flagship for this year. The lineup also includes the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max, but rumours say that these models may not be released in markets outside of China.</p>

The F8 Ultra has already <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/22/poco-f8-ultra-nbtc-certified/">received an important certification</a>, hinting that the lineup’s debut is near. The upcoming Poco F8 and F8 Pro are said to be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, which were recently launched in China. However, a new post on X by tipster Kacper Skrzypek suggests that the global models will feature smaller batteries compared to their Chinese counterparts.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 series battery sizes revealed</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="787" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1024x787.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Max - 2.1 speaker" class="wp-image-711545" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1024x787.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-300x231.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-768x590.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1536x1180.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-696x535.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1068x821.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-547x420.jpg 547w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker.jpg 1559w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi K90 Pro Max</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>After examining the HyperOS code, Skrzypek <a href="https://x.com/kacskrz/status/1971455802268582232">revealed</a> that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-pro">Poco F8 Pro</a> will come with a 6,210mAh battery, while the F8 Ultra will include a 6,500mAh battery. In comparison, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90">Redmi K90</a> series packs larger batteries, with the K90 featuring a 7,100mAh unit and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-pro-max">K90 Pro Max</a> offering an even bigger 7,500mAh battery.</p>

<p>For reference, the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra also had smaller batteries than the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro. Similarly, while the Poco F8 series will feature reduced battery capacities compared to the K90 lineup, the rest of their specifications are expected to remain identical.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Pro may feature a 6.59-inch display, while the F8 Ultra could come with a larger 6.9-inch screen. Both models are expected to use OLED panels supporting 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The F8 may include a standard dual-speaker setup, whereas the Ultra could offer a 2.1 audio system with an additional rear speaker for enhanced sound output.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 series is likely to ship with Android 16, customised with the HyperOS 3 interface. Under the hood, the F8 Pro may be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">the Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> chipset, while the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/poco-f8-ultra">Ultra edition</a> could run on the newer <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>. Both models are expected to offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.</p>

<p>In the camera department, the F8 Pro may feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, while the F8 Ultra could sport a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. On the rear, the F8 Pro is expected to include a triple-camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel (OmniVision Light Fusion 800, OIS) main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and a 50-megapixel (2.5x telephoto, OIS) sensor.</p>

<p>The F8 Ultra, on the other hand, may feature a 50-megapixel (OmniVision Light Fusion 950, OIS) primary sensor, alongside two additional 50-megapixel lenses, including a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens with OIS support. Both phones are expected to feature a metal middle frame and carry an IP68/69 rating, making them resistant to dust and water.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/11/poco-f7-ultra-receives-nbtc-certification-ahead-of-global-launch/">Back in March</a> this year, Thailand’s NBTC authority approved the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f7-ultra/">Poco F7 Ultra</a>, which <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/03/27/poco-f7-ultra-launched-globally/">went official later in the same month</a>. In a new development, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco">Poco</a> F8 Ultra has been spotted on the NBTC certification platform, indicating that it may launch earlier than the previously expected timeframe of March 2026.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 Ultra NBTC certified</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="727" height="858" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Ultra-NBTC-certified.png?x44794" alt="Poco F8 Ultra NBTC certified" class="wp-image-711935" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Ultra-NBTC-certified.png 727w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Ultra-NBTC-certified-254x300.png 254w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Ultra-NBTC-certified-696x821.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Poco-F8-Ultra-NBTC-certified-356x420.png 356w" sizes="(max-width: 727px) 100vw, 727px" /><figcaption>Poco F8 Ultra NBTC certified</figcaption></figure>

<p>As can be seen above, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-f8-ultra/">Poco F8 Ultra</a> with model number 25102PCBEG has appeared in NBTC’s database. As usual, the NBTC listing has not revealed anything significant about the device’s specifications.</p>

<p>The model number is similar to the Redmi K90 Pro Max’s 25102RKBEC, where “RK” seemingly refers to Redmi’s K-series. On the other hand, the letters “PC” in the F8 Ultra’s model number 25102PCBEG refer to Poco. Therefore, it appears that the Poco F8 Ultra could be a rebranded version of the K90 Pro Max.</p>

<p>The early appearance of the F8 Ultra at the NBTC certification suggests that it may debut withi this year or by early 2026.</p>

<h3><strong>Poco F8 Ultra specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="787" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1024x787.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Max - 2.1 speaker" class="wp-image-711545" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1024x787.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-300x231.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-768x590.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1536x1180.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-696x535.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-1068x821.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-547x420.jpg 547w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Max-2.1-speaker.jpg 1559w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Redmi K90 Pro Max</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Considering that the Poco F8 Ultra could be a rebranded <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/redmi-k90-pro-max">K90 Pro Max</a>, it could be equipped with a 6.9-inch OLED screen with support for 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will run on HyperOS 3-based Android 16 and feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>The F8 Ultra could be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The K90 Pro Max packs a 7,650mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. There’s a possibility that the F8 Ultra could have a slightly smaller battery.</p>

<p>For selfies, the F8 Ultra may feature a 20-megapixel front camera, and its back panel could be equipped with a 50-megapixel OmniVision 950 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS support. It may also feature a 2.1 speaker system and an IP68/69-rated body.</p>

Last month, the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-k90-pro-max.html">Redmi K90</a>, bearing the model number 2510DRK44C, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/30/redmi-k90-spotted-with-flagship-grade-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5/">surfaced with the Snapdragon 8 Elite on Geekbench</a>. Now, a new Redmi device with model number 25102RKBEC has emerged on the same benchmarking platform.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi K90 Pro Geekbench listing</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="717" height="955" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Geekbench.png?x44794" alt="Redmi K90 Pro Geekbench listing" class="wp-image-710623" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Geekbench.png 717w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Geekbench-225x300.png 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Geekbench-696x927.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Redmi-K90-Pro-Geekbench-315x420.png 315w" sizes="(max-width: 717px) 100vw, 717px" /><figcaption>Redmi K90 Pro Geekbench listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The Redmi K90 Pro’s Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by a Qualcomm chip that includes two cores working at 4.21GHz, six cores operating at 3.6GHz. This indicates that the phone is powered by the latest <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>.</p>

<p>The device is equipped with 16GB of RAM and Android 16. It scored 3559 in the single-core of Geekbench 6.5 and recorded a score of 11,060 in the multi-core test.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi K90 Pro specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="866" height="452" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-710622" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45.png 866w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45-300x157.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45-768x401.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45-696x363.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/image-45-805x420.png 805w" sizes="(max-width: 866px) 100vw, 866px" /></figure>

<p>According to a recent Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-pro/">Redmi K90 Pro</a> will deliver the best battery life in the lineup with a large battery and 100W fast charging. It will reportedly feature a large primary camera sensor and a periscope telephoto lens, putting its imaging capabilities on par with the Xiaomi 17 series.</p>

<p>A <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/05/realem-gt-8-pro-iqoo-15-oneplus-15-redmi-k90-pro-main-camera-persicope-telephoto-leak/">recent report revealed</a> that the K90 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 950 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera.</p>

<p>DCS also hints that the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-k90-pro-max.html">Redmi K90 Pro</a> will have a flagship-grade build and components, plus significant upgrades that “break family traditions.” Lastly, he notes that audio performance will see a major leap, making it a level above competing models. In terms of pricing, the Redmi K90 Pro is expected to cost around 4,000 Yuan (~$560).</p>

<p>Previous leaks have claimed that the K90 Pro will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/14/xiaomi-16-and-redmi-k90-may-feature-2k-real-rgb-oled-panels/">a 6.59-inch flat RGB OLED LTPS screen</a>, a 7,000mAh or 7,500mAh battery, 100W charging, 50W wireless charging, and HyperOS 3-based Android 16. It will also have other features like a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/14/redmi-k90-pro-key-specifications-leaked/">USB 3.0 interface and</a> an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>Likely, the <a href="https://www.giztop.com/redmi-k90-pro-max.html">Redmi K90</a> series will be rebadged as the Poco F8 lineup in the global market. The Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra are expected to launch in Q1 2026 as rebadged versions of the K90 and K90 Pro, respectively.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Qualcomm </a>finally pulled the curtains off the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/24/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5-announced-with-20-higher-performance-35-higher-efficiency-and-new-x85-5g-modem/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>, its latest mobile chip that will power Android flagships of 2026. Xiaomi is rolling it out first with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/22/xiaomi-17-series-launch-set-for-september-25-coming-with-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5-inside/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 17 series</a>, which launches later today in China. Now, Poco has also confirmed that its upcoming flagship will ship with the same processor.</p>

<p>In a post today, Poco confirmed that its “next-gen flagship smartphone” will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The company is still keeping the phone’s actual name a secret, but all signs point toward the upcoming Poco F8 series. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="471" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Poco-Snapdragon-8-Elite-Gen-5-phone.jpg?x44794" alt="Poco Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone" class="wp-image-708264" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Poco-Snapdragon-8-Elite-Gen-5-phone.jpg 471w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Poco-Snapdragon-8-Elite-Gen-5-phone-236x300.jpg 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Poco-Snapdragon-8-Elite-Gen-5-phone-330x420.jpg 330w" sizes="(max-width: 471px) 100vw, 471px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Poco F8 Ultra or Pro?</strong></h2>

<p>The Poco F7 Ultra carried the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’s predecessor, so by that logic, the new chip should debut on the Poco F8 Ultra. However, not much is known about the device yet.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Pro is expected to be a rebrand of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/21/poco-f8-pro-imei-database/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi K90 instead</a>. The latter is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch flat RGB OLED LTPS panel with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for security.</p>

<p>As for performance, it could be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/21/snapdragon-8-gen-5-true-flagship/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a>, which Qualcomm has yet to release. The device is also said to pack a 7,100mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Other details include dual stereo speakers, a premium metal mid-frame, and an x-axis linear motor for improved haptics.</p>

<p>If the Poco F8 is indeed a Redmi K90 rebrand, we can expect these specs to carry over. For now, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to know exactly which Poco phone will debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> is lining up the Redmi K90 series for release in China before the year ends, with the global rollout expected soon after under the Poco F8 branding. The top-end model, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/redmi-k90-pro/">Redmi K90 Pro</a>, is set to reappear as the Poco F8 Ultra and early leaks suggest some serious upgrades over last year’s K80 Pro.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro.jpg?x44794" alt="Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro" class="wp-image-662329" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Redmi-K80-and-K80-Pro-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<h2>Chipset, battery, and camera upgrades tipped</h2>

<p>The phone is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s next flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. If accurate, that would bring a clear step up in performance and efficiency, especially for gaming and multitasking.</p>

<p>Battery life is also getting a major boost. Xiaomi is said to be moving from the 6,000 mAh unit on the K80 Pro to a 7,000 mAh cell. Unfortunately, wired charging looks like a slight downgrade, dropping to 100W from 120W on the predecessor. Wireless charging (likely 50W) and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor are expected to remain in place.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="584" height="205" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-01-191717.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-704611" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-01-191717.png 584w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Screenshot-2025-09-01-191717-300x105.png 300w" sizes="(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px" /></figure></div>

<p>For photography, the K90 Pro is rumored to include a periscope zoom lens — a first for the Redmi lineup. This would bring advanced zoom capabilities usually reserved for Xiaomi’s premium flagships. The tipster also points to improved image processing, which could boost results across all cameras, including the selfie. On the multimedia side, audio hardware is tipped for an upgrade as well. The phone will continue to feature a 2K OLED display, similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/27/redmi-k80-pro-launched-with-snapdragon-8-elite-specs-price/">K80 Pro</a>.</p>

<p>More information, including the exact launch dates of the Redmi K90 Pro and its Poco rebrand, will likely surface as the development progresses, so stick around.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi">Redmi</a> unveiled the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro in November last year in China. The rebranded versions of these phones, with monikers Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra, were released globally in February this year. Redmi and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/poco">Poco</a> are expected to use the same strategy for the Redmi K90 series and Poco F8 lineup. This has become all the more evident through the IMEI database listings of these devices.</p>

<h3><strong>Redmi K90 / Poco F8 series model numbers (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>Two Redmi phones with model numbers 2510DRK44C and 25102RKBEC have emerged in the IMEI database. The internal codes of these devices are P11 and P11U, and their codenames are Annibale and Myron. The IMEI database listings have not revealed the final marketing names of these devices. However, they are expected to be called the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro, respectively, when they hit the Chinese market in October this year.</p>

<p>At the same time, two Poco smartphones with model numbers 2510DPC44G and 25102PCBEG have also surfaced in the IMEI database. These devices are said to be called the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra when they launch globally next year. Their internal codes and codenames are the same as the K90 and K90 Pro. It should be noted that the exact names of the F8 models have not surfaced in the IMEI database.</p>

<p>The Redmi K90 and Poco F8 Pro are expected to feature last year’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> (first generation). On the other hand, the K90 Pro and F8 Ultra are expected to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-2">Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a>, which is likely to debut in September this year.</p>

<p>The Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra may launch in the first quarter of 2026. The lineup may also include the standard Poco F8. It is likely that the F8 could be a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/01/redmi-turbo-5-pro-poco-f8-8000mah-battery-rumor/">rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro</a>, which is expected to debut in Q2 2026.</p>

<p>Next gen <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/redmi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Redmi </a>and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/POCO/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">POCO </a>flagship smartphones might be getting an upgrade in their camera technology. A new rumor has hinted at the upcoming Redmi K90 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra models featuring advanced camera technology for improved magnified shots. So here&#8217;s what we know so far. </p>

<h2>Redmi K90 Pro &amp; POCO F8 Ultra with new periscope telephoto lens</h2>

<p>The Chinese tech giant&#8217;s upcoming Redmi K90 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra models were spotted on Weibo posts, which revealed that both models are getting better zoom cameras. The K90 Pro model is getting various upgrades that includes an ultrasonic under display fingerprint scanner and even a periscope telephoto shooter. The POCO F8 Ultra is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K90 Pro, so the new F8 Ultra could also offer this camera tech as well.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-1024x683.png?x44794" alt="Redmi K80 Pro" class="wp-image-670275" width="759" height="506" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-1024x683.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-300x200.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-768x512.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-1536x1024.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-696x464.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-1068x712.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A-630x420.png 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Redmi-K80-Pro-Featured-A.png 1701w" sizes="(max-width: 759px) 100vw, 759px" /><figcaption>Redmi K80 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>To recall, the Redmi K90 Pro launched with a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and OIS support (Optical Image Stabilization). So the K90 Pro is likely bringing improved optical zoom. The leak basically talks about upcoming flagship smartphones from sub brands of Chinese OEMs. These next gen models might get the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. While the exact name wasn&#8217;t revealed, these might be referring to the OnePlus 14, Realme GT 8 Pro, and the Redmi K90 series.</p>

<p>Digital Chat Station believes that the early engineering prototypes will reportedly come with periscope telephoto cameras as well (Via <em><a href="https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/mobiles/mobiles-news/redmi-k90-pro-poco-f8-ultra-periscope-telephoto-camera/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MySmartPrice</a></em>). Offering a periscope telephoto shooter on the popular Redmi K series was only a matter of time considering how the more affordable Redmi Note 14 Pro+ also offers similar technology.</p>
