It adds some features and brings several updates. On top of all the adjustments, it brings in an even cleaner look with semi transparent backgrounds and a few ironed out graphics. Let&#8217;s take a closer look.</p>
<p>The changes are mostly about polishing the design and making the experience smoother with the app drawer. Now it can have a semi-transparent background, so you can see your wallpaper even under the white/black/gray layer. The transparency is customizable &#8211; that way you can have your precious main image and Dark Mode at the same time.</p>

<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> has also demonstrated the launcher’s flexible app management options. Now you can create your own custom groups and add and remove apps from them easily, to ensure you don’t have to waste any time finding what you need. Things are much more streamlined than before, and things were already pretty decent before this.</p>
<div class="su-note"  style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><b>Editor&#8217;s Pick: </b><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/06/12/the-standard-and-nfc-versions-of-the-mi-band-4-goes-up-for-pre-order-on-giztop/"><strong>Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Goes Up for Pre-Order on Giztop</strong></a></div></div>
<p>Outside of that, performance has been significantly improved, so much so that POCO Launcher is now much more responsive and fluid. There are also numerous adjustments to the interface and settings screen, while some annoying bugs have been fixed. It isn&#8217;t clear when the stable version of launcher will be out, as the tweet only talked about the beta version.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-259251" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="1189" height="739" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta.jpg 1189w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-300x186.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-768x477.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-1024x636.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-356x220.jpg 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-696x433.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-1068x664.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/POCO-Launcher-beta-676x420.jpg 676w" sizes="(max-width: 1189px) 100vw, 1189px" /></p>
<p>You are unfortunately out of luck if you wish to get enrolled in the Beta Programme as it is already full. If more slots open in the future however, you can <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mi.android.globallauncher">visit this page</a>, sign up for the program and download Poco Launcher 2.0 from the Play Store.</p>

There are notable improvements along with the addition of a new dark mode. Unlike the Mi Home launcher, the Poco launcher follows the minimalist approach making it lighter as well as useful at the same time.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-244641" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher.png?x10805" alt="" width="625" height="438" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher.png 625w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-300x210.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-100x70.png 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-599x420.png 599w" sizes="(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px" /></p>
<p>Poco Launcher 2.6.5.7 brings dark mode and can be enabled by heading into the Launcher Settings. It does not carry system-wide dark mode as it only applies to the app drawer and launcher settings panel. The new update also brings some usual bug fixes, sharper app icons, responsive user interface and the ability to add the custom apps to vault.</p>
<p>Double tap to lock the device feature is now refined and works efficiently on all compatible devices. Some other changes are also present as according to the changelog below.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-244642" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-498x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="poco launcher" width="498" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher.jpg 498w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-146x300.jpg 146w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/poco-launcher-204x420.jpg 204w" sizes="(max-width: 498px) 100vw, 498px" /></p>
<h3><strong>Poco Launcher 2.6.5.7 changelog:</strong></h3>
<ol>
<li>Fix the bug of icon pack with white background.</li>
<li>Dark mode! Yay!</li>
<li>You can add custom apps to App vault shortcuts now.</li>
<li>Double tapping the screen to lock device works on all compatible models now.</li>
<li>Icons got crisper and prettier!</li>
<li>We fixed the bugs that slowed down the UI. Now it’s more responsive.</li>
<li>We fixed multiple minor bugs as well.</li>
</ol>
<p>Nowadays, every app developer is integrating Dark Mode to save battery on devices carrying AMOLED display and to protect eyes from the regular smartphone usage. Google is leading the way with dark mode availability across its apps and utilities like Google Help Center, Google Discover Feed, Google News, Google Maps, Google Play Games, YouTube, Android Messages, Gboard, Pixel Launcher and now coming on stable Google Chrome very soon.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Related: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/01/07/android-q-will-come-with-a-system-wide-dark-mode-says-googler/">Android Q will come with a system-wide dark mode says Googler</a></strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Thanks to Xiaomi as they are also working on deep system-wide integration of dark mode in MIUI 10. Interested users can update the Poco Launcher app to get hands on the new useful features.</p>

Unlike other Xiaomi phones this handset, which is also the first one from the new Xiaomi&#8217;s sub-brand is equipped with a customized version of the MIUI promising fast performance and interesting features to improve usability. Now, after the huge<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/08/30/xiaomi-sells-poco-f1-units-worth-rs-2-billion-28million-in-less-than-five-minutes/"> success achieved by the handset in just a few days</a>, the Chinese giant has decided to make Poco Launcher available for every Android device by launching it on the Play Store.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-208908" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/poco-1.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="551" height="319" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/poco-1.jpg 551w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/poco-1-300x174.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 551px) 100vw, 551px" /></p>
<p>The app is still not official and it is currently in a phase of limited availability, so do not be surprised if you can not download it from Google Play. But in case it is not available for you, then you can get it through APK file by downloading it on third-party platforms such as APK Mirror. Given that it is not a definitive version, you may encounter bugs or issues related to the stability of the app. For the rest, you will get exactly the same user interface as the new Xiaomi Poco F1, as well as its additional features.</p>
<p>Thanks to Poco Launcher, you can group app by colors, set it in alphabetical order, change the icons thanks to the support for Android icon packs or even hide app icons. The new Poco Launcher promises fast and smooth performance, with fast UI animation and a cleaner look. Among the features, there are also some MIUI-exclusive features such as the quick app drawer. If you want to make your device similar to Xiaomi phones, this is the best official Xiaomi app for you. If you want to check all the other features and customizations of Poco Launcher, click on the source link below to view the app on Google Play.</p>
