Ahead of the launch, the model has reportedly appeared on GeekBench.</p>
<p>We couldn&#8217;t independently locate the listing on GeekBench&#8217;s database but a Twitter user shared a screenshot of the Geekbench listing. The model is listed as Xiaomi POCO M2 Pro and would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The processor listed as Gram will team up with 6GB of RAM while the phone will run on Android 10.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-330014" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="1080" height="1383" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench.jpg 1080w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-234x300.jpg 234w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-768x983.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-800x1024.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-696x891.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-1068x1368.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/poco-m2-pro-geekbench-328x420.jpg 328w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></a></p>
<p>The Poco M2 Pro is expected to arrive as the leader of a new M series that POCO is introducing. The phone had earlier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/17/poco-m2-pro-receives-bis-certification-in-india/">received certification from India&#8217;s BIS</a> as well as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/21/poco-m2-pro-gets-certified-for-bluetooth-and-wifi/">Bluetooth and WiFi certification</a>.</p>
<p>The phone is rumoured to be an upgraded Redmi K30 Pro but the <b>M2003J6CI</b> model number of the device from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/21/poco-m2-pro-gets-certified-for-bluetooth-and-wifi/">certification sites</a> is similar to the Redmi Note 9 series. The design revealed on the launch teaser video also bears some resemblance with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-note-9-pro">Redmi note 9 Pro European variant</a>. Whatever it is, we&#8217;ll likely be seeing a rebranded model launched as the M2 Pro.</p>
