<p>POCO M4 Pro is finally official. Read more about the device<strong><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/09/poco-m4-pro-5g-dimensity-810-soc-33w-pro-fast-charging-launched/"> from our launch story here</a></strong>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
[<strong>Original Story</strong>]<a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/POCO"> POCO</a> may have announced its independence from Xiaomi but continues to largely be nothing more than a sub-brand. As such, its offerings are typically rebranded Xiaomi/Redmi phones running the same software, albeit with some minor tweaks. The upcoming POCO M4 Pro 5G is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/01/poco-m4-pro-5g-eec-3c-tenaa-imei-certification/">another of such phones</a>, and we have listed all there&#8217;s to know about it ahead of its November 9 launch.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-422882 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3-1024x907.jpg?x10805" alt="POCO M4 Pro 5G images" width="696" height="616" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3-300x266.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3-768x680.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3-696x616.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/POCO-M4-Pro-5G-images-3-474x420.jpg 474w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<h4><strong>Design &amp; Display</strong></h4>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/03/poco-m4-pro-5gs-first-images-specifications-leaked/">POCO M4 Pro 5G</a> quite obviously uses the same body as the freshly-launched <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/02/redmi-note-11-vs-redmi-note-10-specs-comparison/">Redmi Note 11</a>. There are a couple of minor changes to show that it&#8217;s a unique model though. Its camera module has been seemingly extended to cover the entire width of the phone for a more stylized appearance. The extension features a large POCO branding. Enthusiasts will easily note that the back resembles last year&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/17/poco-m3-price-hike-new-variant-india/">POCO M3</a>.</p>
<p>The M4 Pro 5G’s top edge has a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker. Its bottom edge has another mic, a USB-C port, and a second speaker unit. As far as the front side is concerned, its display has a centrally placed punch-hole atop and is supported by a slightly thick chin at the bottom.</p>

<p>The phone has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.</p>
<h4><strong>Cameras on the POCO M4 Pro 5G</strong></h4>
<p>The rear camera module on the POCO M4 Pro 5G looks like it houses more cameras than it actually does. There is a separate opening just for the AI logo alone that may look like another camera from a distance. In reality, the phone has a dual-camera setup &#8211; a 50MP primary shooter and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The camera on the front has a 16-megapixel resolution.</p>
<h4><strong>Other Specifications</strong></h4>
<p>The POCO M4 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-810">Dimensity 810</a> chipset &#8211; a recent launch built using the 6nm process. The phone packs a large 5000mAh battery with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/02/poco-m4-pro-5g-to-arrive-with-6nm-chip-33w-fast-charging/">33W fast charging support</a>. The storage will likely be UFS 2.2.</p>
<p>Apart from this, the device will likely be coming with the same feature list as the Redmi Note 11.</p>
<h4><strong>Software</strong></h4>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/08/miui-13-is-coming-soon-miui-cleaner-app/">MIUI 13</a> is yet to make its debut and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/05/xiaomi-exec-believes-android-12-based-miui-still-needs-a-lot-of-work/">Android 12</a> is still undergoing testing for eligible Xiaomi and Poco phones. Thus, it is most likely that the POCO M4 Pro will be coming with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5.</p>
<h4><strong>Variants, Price, &amp; Release Date</strong></h4>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/14/poco-m4-pro-5g-surfaces-on-fcc-with-6gb-ram-128gb-storage-launch-imminent/">FCC listing for the POCO M4 Pro</a> had revealed that it will be coming in three RAM and storage options, namely 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/11/04/poco-m4-pro-5g-leaked-render-showcases-its-attractive-yellow-variant/">color variants</a> will include grey and yellow options.</p>

<p>There is no word on the pricing but it will likely cost similar to the Redmi Note 11 (~$187). A release date of November 9 has been <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/10/28/poco-m4-pro-5g-launch-9-november/">announced officially</a>.</p>
