POCO has expanded its tablet lineup with the launch of the POCO Pad X1 and the more affordable POCO Pad M1. The POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro were announced globally earlier today, and alongside these flagship phones, the two new tablets bring tall displays with high resolution, Snapdragon 7 Series chipsets, and massive battery packs. So here is everything you need to know, like its price, specs, and other details.

POCO Pad X1

The Chinese brand just unveiled the POCO Pad X1 with a tall 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K resolution (3200 x 2136 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate, adaptive HDR and 800 nits of peak brightness. The screen is surrounded by noticeable but relatively slim bezels on all four sides. POCO built the tablet with an aluminum chassis that measures just 6.18mm in thickness and weighs 500 grams.

Under the hood, the POCO Pad X1 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A massive 8,850mAh battery pack powers this tablet. For audio, you get a quad speakers setup with Dolby Atmos support. The rear packs a 13MP shooter, while the front houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include stylus support, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 6E, and NFC.

While this wasn’t built to be a flagship grade tablet, the POCO Pad X1 brings specs capable enough for enjoying gaming, regular use, and handling multitasking without any lag. It also provides a premium built quality for a better experience. There is also the Floating Keyboard and Xiaomi’s Focus Pen accessories that are sold separately.

POCO Pad M1

Alongside the POCO Pad X1, the company announced the new POCO Pad M1, which is a more affordable tablet. It sports a tall 12.1-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. Just like the Pad X1, you get the POCO Pad M1 with a metal unibody design. This model is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which is a mid range chipset as well. In terms of synthetic benchmarks, this model is quite similar in performance to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

This is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded by up to 2TB via a microSDXC card slot. While the resolution might be slightly lower than the Pad X1, it has an advantage in battery life thanks to the gigantic 12,000mAh cell, which supports 33W wired fast charging and even 27W reverse wired charging as well. Both the front and back have an 8MP camera for photography. Other notable features include quad speakers with Hi-Res audio and Dolby Atmos along with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Pricing and Availability

The Chinese brand has announced the HyperOS 3 powered POCO Pad M1 and POCO Pad X1 in gray and blue color options. For 399 US Dollars, you get the POCO Pad X1. Customers can also purchase the Floating Keyboard cover for 199 US Dollars and the Focus Pen for 99 US Dollars. On the other hand, the POCO Pad M1 carries a 329 US Dollar price tag with a more affordable basic keyboard accessory for 99 US Dollars and a cheaper Focus Pen for 69 US Dollars.

POCO will launch the POCO F8 Pro, POCO F8 Ultra and the new POCO Pad X1 in global markets on 26 November. The company has been posting short teasers over the past few days, confirming key features ahead of the event.

The POCO Pad X1 will be introduced on the same day at 16:00 GMT+8. It will come in Grey and Blue. The back has a square camera module with a 13MP main camera and an LED flash. The sides show the power button, speaker grilles and another physical button.

POCO confirmed that the Pad X1 runs on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. The tablet will feature a 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. POCO describes the screen as crystal clear and says it will support Dolby Vision Atmos.

The Pad X1 was previously spotted on Geekbench. The listing showed the tablet running Android 15 and an 8GB RAM variant. The benchmark results matched the expected performance for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip.

Reports suggest that the POCO Pad X1 could be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Pad 7. If this is accurate, the final hardware could be similar to Xiaomi’s tablet. The Xiaomi Pad 7 features an 11.2-inch LCD display with a 3.2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, Nano Texture Display, anti glare and anti reflective features. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio, TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 has a metal unibody. It runs on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It packs an 8,850mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The rear camera is 13MP and the front camera is 8MP. It runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2, which includes AI Writing, AI Live Subtitles and Xiaomi Creations. Other features include a 6.18mm body, 499 gram weight, IP52 rating, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, Workstation Mode, Focus Keyboard support and quad speakers.

There have been reports that Poco is working on a new tablet with the model number 25099RP08G for the global market. The said device was recently spotted on the Indonesian TKDN certification platform, and now it has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Rumors are rife that this tablet could be called the Poco Pad X1 when it hits the market. As usual, the listing has revealed the chipset of the device, sparking rumors that it could be a rebranded version of an existing Xiaomi tablet.

The above screenshot reveals that Poco’s 25099RP08G tablet has appeared on Geekbench. The CPU and GPU details revealed show that it is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip. The listing also reveals that the Poco Pad X1 will have 8GB of RAM and Android 15.

Generally, most of the Poco devices are rebranded versions of existing Redmi / Xiaomi devices. So, there’s a possibility that the Poco Pad X1 (tentative name) could be a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Pad 7, which is also powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

The Xiaomi Pad 7v has an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen that offers a 3.2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is packed with up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and an 8,850mAh battery with 45W charging. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera on the front and another camera on the back with the same megapixel count. Its other features include four speakers, an aluminium front and back, and stylus and keyboard support.

In related news, Poco is also working on the launch of the Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra, as these devices have bagged multiple certifications, hinting at an imminent launch. Likely, the Poco Pad X1 may debut alongside these F8 series phones in the coming days.
