A couple of weeks later, the device&#8217;s Indian Version, POCO X2 is getting the latest OS update.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-333255" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40.jpg?x10805" alt="Poco X2 Review 40" width="1920" height="1079" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-1068x600.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Poco-X2-Review-40-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></p>
<p><a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-poco-x2">POCO X2</a> users in India will get a new <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/miui-12">MIUI 12.1</a> version update with firmware version 12.1.2.0.RGHINXM. This update not only bundles a few bug fixes, security patches but also includes stable Android 11. It reportedly <a href="https://t.me/MIUIUpdatesTracker/12554">weighs</a> 2.6GB and is currently rolling out to the device via OTA(Over-The-Air) update.</p>
<p>As mentioned above, the update also brings the latest January 2021 security patch along with it. You can take a look at the changelog below:</p>
<p>Optimizations:</p>
<ul>
<li>Noise could be heard when the screen was turned off in some cases</li>
<li>Updated Android Security Patch to January 2021. Increased system security.</li>
<li>Stable MIUI based on Android 11</li>
</ul>
<p>With this, POCO X2 becomes the first POCO in India to get the Android 11 update. As for the Global tally, we already have the POCO F2 Pro running on a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/07/xiaomi-mi-10-pro-redmi-k30-pro-poco-f2-pro-android-11-update/">stable version</a>. This is not the only first for the X2 in India. Back in August, it became the first smartphone in India to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/07/poco-x2-miui-12-update-india/">get the MIUI 12</a> update.</p>
<p>Now that POCO has checked the year-old X2 update mark, it&#8217;s next target should be the budget devices <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-m2-pro">POCO M2 Pro</a>, and its sibling <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/poco-m2">POCO M2</a> in the country.</p>
<p>Anyway, the new update also fixes a critical creaking noise bug that occurred in certain screen-off scenarios. If you are living in India, you can try out the update by navigating to the update section in Settings. Consequently, if you are impatient to wait for the phased rollout to appear, you can download it <a href="https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.1.2.0.RGHINXM/miui_PHOENIXININGlobal_V12.1.2.0.RGHINXM_b85dc670a6_11.0.zip">here</a> and install it manually.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Just like new features, the latest Android version is first introduced in this channel. It has been more than a month since </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/09/android-11-stable-update-arrives-with-chat-bubbles-screen-recording-and-more/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Google officially released Android 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. But already a plethora of Xiaomi smartphones like Mi 10, Mi 10 Ultra, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/30/redmi-k30-pro-android-11-beta-2-comes-with-miui-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Redmi K30 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/27/xiaomi-mi-cc9-pro-miui-12-weekly-beta-builds-are-now-based-on-android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi CC9 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/09/redmi-k30-5g-mi-10-youth-edition-miui-12-weekly-builds-android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Redmi K30 5G, and Mi 10 Youth Edition</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> have been receiving weekly MIUI beta builds based on Android 11.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-298220 size-full aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="800" height="445" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g.jpg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g-300x167.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g-768x427.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g-696x387.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/REdmi-K30-4g-755x420.jpg 755w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Now, Redmi K20 and Redmi K30 4G also join this list. These two smartphones received their first Android 11-based </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> weekly beta build today. Their upcoming builds will be also based on the latest version of Android.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Normally, it means that these two handsets (including POCO X2 which is a rebranded Redmi K30 4G) should be receiving </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Android 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> stable update very soon. However, it is not the case this year as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> has become slower in rolling out the Android 11 update compared to Anroid 10.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The flagship Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are yet to receive any stable build. Same goes for Redmi K30 Pro whose predecessor Redmi K20 Pro was one of the first phones to receive Android 10 stable update in 2019.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Hece, even though the above mentioned devices are continuously receiving MIUI 12 weekly beta builds based on Android 11, we cannot guarantee if they will receive the stable update sooner.</span></p>
