The POCO X3 GT is one of the most well-known smartphones made by POCO. The smartphone has now received the MIUI 14 update, which includes a slew of new features and enhancements. MIUI 14 is the latest version of Xiaomi’s renowned custom Android skin, and it delivers a variety of performance improvements, visual changes, and new capabilities to the smartphone.

The update makes a number of improvements to the user interface of the smartphone, including new animations and transitions, slightly revised app icons, a redesigned notification shade and settings menu. A variety of speed enhancements, including as faster app launches and better scrolling, are also included in MIUI 14. The latest MIUI 14 update for POCO X3 GT comes with the build number MIUI-V14.0.1.0.TKPMIXM. It is based on the latest Android 13 operating system. The smartphone was launched running MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and the latest update marks that the device has grabbed it’s second and probably the last major update.

You may check for the MIUI 14 update on a POCO X3 GT by heading to the “Settings” app and choosing “System updates.” You should be prompted to download and install the update if it’s available for your device. Before installing any updates, it’s a good idea to back up your important data as usual in case something goes wrong with the installation. You can wait a little longer if you haven’t received the update to have it delivered to your device.

The addition of an AI-based memory management system, which is intended to optimise the device’s RAM utilisation and guarantee that apps and processes operate without interruption, is one of the most noticeable new features in MIUI 14. This ought to lead to quicker app switching and improved performance in general. A new weather app, an improved camera app, and a redesigned power consumption monitor are just a few of the updates and new features that MIUI 14 offers in addition to these adjustments. New security improvements are included in the upgrade as well, including enhanced app permissions and a new privacy dashboard.

It appears that the launch date of the smartphone could be drawing near as it has been spotted in the IMEI database (via. Xiaomiui).

As can be seen in the screenshot below, the POCO phone with model number 22041216G will be arriving in the global markets with the POCO X4 GT. The 22041216G will be the global version of the Redmi Note 11T Pro, which is expected to launch soon in China.

Recently, two upcoming Redmi phones with model numbers 22041216C and 22041216UC were spotted in the database of Chinese certification sites such as TENAA and 3C. These smartphones are likely to launch as the Redmi Note 11T and Note 11T Pro, respectively.

So far, it has been found that the Redmi Note 11T will be equipped with a 6.6-inch display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be powered by the Dimensity 1300 chipset and a 4,300mAh battery. The device is likely to carry support for 67W fast charging. The rest of the specifications of the phone are yet to be revealed.

Recently, another POCO phone with model number 22041216UG was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The model number indicates that it will be a global version of the forthcoming Redmi Note 11T Pro, which is expected to launch soon in China. There is a possibility that this device may arrive with the POCO X4 GT+ moniker in the global markets.

Some newer budget offerings like the Redmi Note 10 Pro have received it too, meaning Xiaomi is keeping an okayish pace. Now, the latest global device to get the update in is the POCO X3 GT, and here’s all you need to know about it.

The POCO X3 GT MIUI 13 update is based on Android 12 and carries version number V13.0.3.0.SKPMIXM. The complete recovery-flashable zip is sized 3.2GB and also includes the February security patch. The full changelog is given below for your reference:

[System]
Stable MIUI based on Android 12
Updated Android Security Patch to February 2022. Increased system security.
[More features and improvements]
New: Apps can be opened as floating windows directly from the sidebar
Optimization: Enhanced accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather
Optimization: Mind map nodes are more convenient and intuitive now

Do note here that the update is still in its early rollout stages and looks limited to Mi Pilot Testers alone as of now. But if found bug-free, Xiaomi should be pushing it to more units and expanding the release to more regions.

The POCO X3 GT was launched in July 2021 with Android 11 and should therefore be eligible for at least another upgrade after Android 12.

The POCO X3 GT has a 6.6-inch LCD FHD+ DotDisplay with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has DynamicSwitch which automatically changes the refresh rate based on the content being viewed. So you’ll get a 48Hz refresh rate when watching movies, a 50Hz refresh rate for TV shows, and 60/90/120Hz refresh rate for games.

Other features of the display are Gorilla Glass Victus for better protection against drops and scratches, a DCI-P3 color gamut, Reading Mode 3.0, and 360° ambient light sensors.

The POCO X3 GT has a Dimensity 1100 processor and is paired with 8GB of RAM. It will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

For its cameras, the phone has a 64MP f/1.79 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Users will be able to take photos in Night mode as well as long exposure photos. There is also a vlog mode, pro time-lapse mode, and photo clone feature. The phone can record in 4K at 30fps, in 1080p at 30fps and 60fps, and in slow motion at 120, 240, or 960fps.

The front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor and you get AI Beautify, Movie Frame, and Short Video modes.

The POCO X3 GT has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR Blaster, NFC with support for Google Pay, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6. It also has stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Hi-Res Wireless Audio. It also has Dual 5G support and LiquidCool Technology 2.0 which can reduce the temperature by up to 11°C when in a high-performance state.

POCO ships the phone with a 5000mAh battery and it supports 67W fast charging that allows you to charge the phone from empty to full in 42 minutes. Thankfully, you get a 67W fast charger in the box. The F3 GT runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

While the phone is scheduled to go on floors tomorrow, i.e. July 28, some details of the handset are already available on the internet. Today, in this piece, we are rounding up all the rumors surfaced so far about the Poco X3 GT, giving you a clear idea of what to expect.

Poco X3 GT Rumor Roundup: What to Expect?

Moniker, Design, and Display

Back in May, the initial rumors about the Poco X3 GT arrived in leaks. A popular Mi tipster named Kacper Skrzypek revealed that a Poco gaming phone with the moniker ‘Poco X3 GT’ could be in the works.

Later, the tipster revealed that the Poco X3 GT is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10 Pro (Chinese model) for the Malaysian market. Soon after this confirmation, leaks started to get some pace and the device bagged multiple certifications.

Recently, renders of the X3 GT appeared online, which reaffirmed that it will be indeed a rebadged Redmi phone. Adding to it, an unboxing video from popular Indian YouTuber Technical Guruji took wraps off its design and box contents.

The smartphone will sport a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It is expected to be an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz high screen refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Cameras on the Poco X3 GT

In terms of cameras, the smartphone will flaunt a unique rear camera island. It will be a rectangular island placed vertically holding three camera lenses. It will be led by a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and lastly a 2MP macro unit.

At the front, it will boast a single selfie camera placed at the top center. It will be a 16MP camera unit.

Hardware and Software

The most interesting thing from the specs sheet of the X3 GT has to be its hardware. After bagging various certifications, it was confirmed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. For those who are unaware, the Dimensity 1100 is a premium chipset from MediaTek that stands below the Dimensity 1200 that powered its recently-launched sibling, the Poco F3 GT.

It is expected to launch with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It will also have a microSD card slot for additional storage. As for the battery, it was spotted with a 5,000mAh battery cell and is expected to have a 67W fast charging support.

The device will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security. According to a recent leak, the phone will run on MIUI 12.5 UI based on Android 11 OS out of the box.

Color variants of the smartphone

Renders confirmed that the phone will arrive in three color variants – Green, Black, and White. Two of these colors, the Green and White variants, will have a textured back.

Pricing and Availability

Since the Poco X3 GT will be a rebranded Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, it is expected to come at a similar price range to that of the Note 10 Pro 5G. The Note 10 Pro 5G arrived at CNY 1,499(~$230) for the base variant and was priced at CNY 1,799(~$276) for the top variant.

Just days after that, the company is set to launch another smartphone in the market — POCO X3 GT, on 28th July in Malaysia.

Ahead of the official launch, some details about the smartphone have surfaced online, along with the renders. The device was rumored to be the international version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G smartphone and the new information seems to confirm that.

The renders of the upcoming phone resemble the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G which is already available in the Chinese market. The company has also shared a new teaser poster, confirming that the smartphone will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, which offers 5G connectivity.

Further, it is being said that the handset will be made in three color options — Black, White, and Blue/Green. Two of these three models — Blue/Green and White will come with a textured back, similar to the Redmi Note 10 Pro in China.

As for the specifications, the device will likely come with a similar set of specs as the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. We are expecting a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The FCC listing of the 21061110AG smartphone has revealed that it is a POCO phone that runs on MIUI 12. The device has support for n41 and n77 5G bands. The moniker had first surface in the code of the MIUI Camera app. Now the handset has surfaced at a couple of certification platforms, which indicates that its launch may not be far away.

A new handset with model number 21061110AG has appeared in the database of Indonesian TKDN and SDPII certification platforms. The latter has revealed that this model will be debuting in the market with the POCO X3 GT moniker. This model has also received SGS Fimko certification.

Speculations are rife that the X3 GT will be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, which was recently announced in China.

Not only is the design different but so are the specs. Now, those who want to get their hands on this version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro will be able to do so but under a different name – the POCO X3 GT.

Last week, Kacper Skryzpek, a Twitter user and unofficial MIUI translator posted a tweet that said a new POCO phone called the POCO X3 GT will be coming soon. Today, he shared another tweet that reveals the POCO X3 GT is actually a rebadge of the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Confirmed.
Redmi Note 10 Pro CN = #POCOX3GT. pic.twitter.com/M0pDNBlgGY

— Kacper Skrzypek (@kacskrz) June 3, 2021

The new tweet includes an image that shows that the POCO X3 GT is code-named “chopin_global” while the Redmi Note 10 Pro for China is code-named” “chopin”, thus confirming that the former is a global version of the latter.

There is no news yet as to when the POCO X3 GT will be announced. There is also a possibility that POCO may decide to slightly alter the design as it has done with the POCO M3 Pro 5G when it eventually announces it.

Now that we know the two devices are the same, then the POCO X3 GT should have a 6.6-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display with a punch hole in the middle. It will be powered by the Dimensity 1100 chipset and have a 64MP triple rear camera, a 16MP front-facing camera, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

The company announced the POCO X3 Pro with the Snapdragon 860 earlier this year. Fresh information reveals that it could be planning to launch yet another X3 series phone called the POCO X3 GT in India.

Tipster Kacper Skrzpek shared a screenshot containing the names of POCO and Redmi devices. The list has a handset named POCO X3 GT that has not debuted yet. The tipster did not share any other information about the mysterious X3 GT.

#POCOX3GT might come soon (India? I don't know…). I suspect what is it but will have to wait for confirmation.@MishaalRahman @aamirXDA pic.twitter.com/15dpppvKc8

Most POCO phones that are available in the market are rebadged editions of the existing Redmi handsets. For instance, the recently announced POCO M3 Pro 5G is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G, whereas the POCO F3 available in the global markets is a rebranded edition of China’s Redmi K40.

Moreover, the upcoming POCO F3 GT that is slated to debut in Q3 in India is likely to arrive as a rebranded version of the Redmi K40 Gaming edition. Hence, there is a possibility that the POCO X3 GT could be a rebadged Redmi phone. Could it be a rebranded edition of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, which was announced recently in China? Hopefully, newer reports will spill more information about the POCO X3 GT handset.
