The companies that will be debuting new phones in the next few days are Poco, OnePlus, and Realme. The former two brands will announce their new devices for the global markets, whereas the latter will debut its new handset in its home market China.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Poco X5 Series

The Poco X5 series is set to launch globally on February 6 (Monday). The lineup will be unveiled in a live stream, which is scheduled to start at 8 PM GMT+8 on YouTube and other platforms.

The series will include two devices, namely Poco X5 and Poco X5 Pro. Both of them are based on the Redmi Note 12 series.

The Poco X5 is a tweaked version of the vanilla Redmi Note 12. On the other hand, the Poco X5 Pro is a rebranded variant of the China-exclusive Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.

Interestingly, India will be only getting the Pro model. The non-pro model might release later in the region.

OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11R

OnePlus’ first global event of 2023 is scheduled for February 7 (Tuesday) at 7:30 PM IST in New Delhi, India. The brand will announce two handsets, namely OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11R at this conference.

The former is already official in China. Whereas, the latter is a new product and it will also debut in China on the same day as OnePlus Ace 2.

According to official teasers and leaks, the two smartphones will be accompanied by three other devices. The company is expected to unveil OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro, and OnePlus Pad.

Just like the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is on sale in China. However, the remaining two devices are brand-new.

Realme GT Neo 5

The Realme GT Neo 5 is planned to launch in China on February 9 (Thursday). The conference will begin at 2 PM GMT+8 and will be live-streamed on Weibo and other leading Chinese video streaming platforms.

The main highlight of the phone will be its 240W fast wired charging feature. It will also arrive with led lights and an IR blaster.

The handset will come with a 6.74-inch 144Hz OLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera.

Rumors suggest that we have a couple of exciting devices from POCO headed our way. The first is the Poco F5 Pro which has popped up on FCC recently, while the other is the Poco X5 series, which is expected to launch on February 6 in India. The series will consist of two devices – Poco X5 5G & Poco X5 Pro.

A recent report has revealed the specifications of these upcoming devices. Now, popular leaker SnoopyTech has revealed what these devices will look like.

The renders reveal two color options for the vanilla Poco X5 5G – Grey & Green. The design of the device is exactly the same as the Redmi Note 12 5G with POCO’s signature style modification. The design similarity with the Note 12 5G is to be expected as the Poco X5 5G is said to be a rebranded version of it.

The POCO X5 Pro’s aesthetics also match the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition, of which the X5 Pro is said to be a rebrand. The only notable difference here is that the X5 Pro is clad in signature POCO colors. The leak does not mention any details about the specs, however, we already know all there is to know about these devices through various leaks.

POCO X5 Pro specs

The POCO X5 Pro is said to come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G processor. The X5 Pro would support 67W fast charging and have a 5000mAh battery. It will additionally be IP68-rated.

As mentioned, these will be the launch prices of the device, and therefore it is expected that the device will cost more after the introductory period is over. Nonetheless, this pricing will certainly make the POCO X5 Pro the cheapest Snapdragon 778G-clad smartphone on the Indian market.

There have been speculations that the Poco X5 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 5G. New information shared by tipster Kacper Skrzypek reveals that it will be quite similar to the Note 12 5G but will pack a different chip. In addition, he also shared vital information about the Poco X5 Pro.

Poco X5

According to the tipster, the Redmi Note 12 5G, which is available in the Chinese variant, will also release in the global market with the same name. As far as the Poco X5 5G (codenamed “moonstone”) is concerned, he claimed that it shares the same ROM as the global version of the Redmi Note 12 5G. However, the X5 has a different chipset. While the Redmi model is equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, the Poco X5 will arrive with the Snapdragon 695. He added that since both chipsets have the same Qualcomm platform, making one ROM for both SoCs is possible.

He did not mention the other specifications of the Poco X5 5G. But it appears that it may borrow the rest of its specs from the Redmi Note 12 5G. Redmi recently unveiled the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition in China. According to the tipster, this device will be rebranded as the Poco X5 Pro 5G in the global market. The Redmi Note 12 Pro SE has specs, such as a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display,  Snapdragon 778Gv, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging, 108-megapixel triple cameras, and a 16- megapixel front camera.
