OnePlus has ditched the invite system for their upcoming phone, the OnePlus 3. Though they announced that fans will be able to purchase units from Loop VR, news reaching us says there’ll be pop-up events in cities worldwide where people can purchase units too.

The company states on its website that there’ll be no need for people to sign up. The cities and dates are as follows:

• New York: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

          Special Attendee: Carl Pei

• Paris: June 15, 2016.

          11 am

• London: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

• Berlin: June 15, 2016.

          7pm – 10 pm

• Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bangalore: TBC

From the info above, we can see that there are 3 event venues in India. The reasons are not far-fetched: India has a very large OnePlus fanbase and OnePlus is trying to grab as much as they can of the Indian market.
