Tecno has finally unveiled the new Pova 6 Pro smartphone model in the Indian market. The device was first announced back during MWC 2024 with some notable specs and features. So here’s everything you need to know about its design, specs, pricing, and more.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro: Design & Display

The design of this smartphone is undoubtedly one of its highlight aspects. It features the Arc Interface that houses over 200 LEDs on the back, which can offer more than 100 customization options. Tecno employed a complex manufacturing technique, which is typically reserved for flagship-grade devices for a more futuristic and premium look. It has a sleek semi-transparent design that measures just 7.9mm in thickness as well. The LED’s are still housed on the right side of the camera sensors like its predecessors and retain the angular design. Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1300 nits of peak brightness.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro: Specs

Under the hood, it is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro is the first smartphone in India to be powered by a massive 6,000mAh Li-Polymer battery pack that supports 70W wired fast charging. This is quite impressive for a mid-range smartphone of its price. The brand promises that just 19 minutes of charging can power up the handset to 50 percent charge, while a full charge takes just 50 minutes.

The rear packs a 108-megapixel primary camera that offers 10x in-sensor zoom along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an AI lens; while the front offers a 32-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calls. Other notable features include support for 10W reverse charging, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a dedicated heat dissipation system, nine lighting modes, and virtual RAM expansion that bumps the total memory up to 24GB.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro: Pricing & Offers

Tecno has launched the Pova 6 Pro with a starting price tag of 19,999 INR for the 8GB + 256GB storage option, On the other hand, the 12GB + 256GB configuration is priced at 21,999 INR. Buyers can even avail of an instant 2,000 INR discount on both models, which brings the effective price down to just 17,999 INR and 19,999 INR respectively. The brand is even offering complimentary goodies worth 4,999 INR to customers that purchase the device via online and offline channels. It is listed in two color options, namely Meteorite Gray and Comet Green. You can buy it from Amazon India, with the first sale set to kick off on 4th April 2024 at 12 PM IST.

Tecno has officially revealed the launch date for its highly anticipated Pova 6 Pro smartphone model in India. The smartphone was first unveiled at the MWC 2024 global event and now it is arriving in the Indian market. So here are all the details.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro India Launch

The smartphone brand has officially confirmed that the upcoming device is set to launch in the region on 29th March 2024. For those unaware, this launch arrives in collaboration with Playground Season 3, which is a series on Amazon miniTV. The company will even share the very first unboxing of this handset during the premiere of this show. To recall, the Pova 6 Pro was unveiled as a mid-range smartphone that features semi semi-transparent design with a lithography precision texture.

Furthermore, the back also features LED light strips, similar to the Nothing Phone lineup. As per official notes, there are 210 mini LEDs on the back that offer nine lighting modes. The back also features a 108-megapixel dual camera setup. Meanwhile, the front sports a tall 6.78-inch AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Tecno Pova 6 series announcement is right around the corner. But ahead of the official announcement, the Pova 6 Pro 5G model was spotted on a major certification platform, which revealed some of its key specs and design elements. So let’s have a look.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro visits FCC

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro model surfaced on FCC carrying the TECNO-LI9 model number. Previously, the smartphone was certified on Google Play Console, which revealed its front design. Now, the latest sighting showcases the rear look of the upcoming device. The back seems to feature a flat panel that houses a large camera island that features a dual camera setup and an LED flash module.

The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right side as well. For storage, the FCC listing confirms that the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The database confirms that it will ship with an adapter with the model number U700TSA. This reveals support for 70W wired fast charging. Based on our previous reports, the Pova 6 Pro is set to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. It will also run on Android 14 OS out of the box.

TECNO Partners with Dolby Labs to Bring Dolby Atmos to POVA 6 Series Smartphones

The China-based tech brand TECNO has just announced a strategic partnership with Dolby Laboratories. This collaboration aims to add Dolby Atmos to TECNO’s upcoming POVA 6 series smartphones. In addition to the announcement of this partnership, the brand has also confirmed that the POVA 6 series will be launching at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona in 2024.

For those unaware, Dolby Atmos is an audio technology designed for a more immersive and three-dimensional sound experience. It uses an object-based approach, allowing sounds to move freely in a three-dimensional space, including overhead. Originally developed for cinemas, it is now widely used in home theaters, soundbars, headphones, and other audio systems for a more realistic audio experience.

Jack Guo, General Manager of TECNO, talked about the impact of the partnership. “Our goal is to improve user experience. Adding Dolby Atmos to our phones is a big step in bringing high-quality audio to our global users,” he said.

Javier Foncillas, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships at Dolby Laboratories, also talked about the collaboration. “We’re happy to bring Dolby Atmos to more people through TECNO’s phones. This tech is not just for fancy audio – it makes the sound of all music, games, and videos better,” he explained.

The TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G, the first model with Dolby Atmos, is set to launch at the Mobile World Congress. This phone is aimed at the youth market, focusing on making the gaming experience better with immersive audio.
