TECNO has partnered with Tonino Lamborghini for the POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, bringing Italian-inspired design and mechanical aesthetics to a smartphone. Founded in 1981 by Tonino Lamborghini, the lifestyle brand is known for distinctive design, engineering-inspired details, individuality, and luxury as a lifestyle.

The collaboration goes beyond adding a Lamborghini logo to the phone. Tonino Lamborghini contributes its Italian design language and mechanical-inspired styling, while TECNO brings its mobile technology and POVA’s performance-focused identity. TECNO has developed a more complex rear-cover process instead of relying on a flat printed design. The cover uses two material layers. The first receives a brightness-enhancing treatment to improve depth, clarity, and reflectivity. The second incorporates specially processed internal mirror structures that allow hidden red elements to appear as the phone is viewed from different angles.

A physical height difference between the layers adds further depth, creating an appearance inspired by mechanical components, cooling structures and honeycomb grilles. TECNO says the manufacturing process required months of refinement, including work on coatings, inks and processing techniques, along with continuous feedback between both brands.

Lamborghini-Themed Software and Accessories

The limited-edition experience continues into the software. TECNO spent nearly four months developing customized system visuals, including dynamic wallpapers, ringtones and icons. The icons use black and red with a glass-like effect, while sharper geometric shapes inspired by hexagons and shields replace softer rounded designs.

The Alive Matrix Display also receives a Tonino Lamborghini “L” effect for interactions such as powering on, unlocking, and navigating the phone.

The package includes a black-and-red braided cable, customized charger, and protective case. The case combines TPU and PC and uses precision carving inspired by Kevlar and carbon fiber, extending the mechanical design theme even when the phone is protected by the case.
