Apple plans to bid for streaming rights to the English Premier League (EPL), according to a report in a British tabloid. The move will build on the company’s recently signed, decade-long deal to stream Major League Soccer (MLS) exclusively on Apple TV starting next month. if report To be precise, Apple would be the fourth-biggest contender for domestic rights to top-flight English football.

Domestic EPL rights are currently valued at £5.1bn ($6.23bn) and operate on a three-year renewal cycle. Tender rights for the EPL are due to be renewed later this year, with existing rights for the current three-year period expiring in 2025.
