That rumour is gathering traction as an LG model listed as Q92 has appeared on Google Play Console (via <a href="https://gadgetsrewind.com/2020/07/23/exclusive-lg-q92-5g-listed-on-google-playconsole/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gadgets Rewind</a>).<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-333632" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92.jpg?x96852" alt="" width="628" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92.jpg 628w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-184x300.jpg 184w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-258x420.jpg 258w" sizes="(max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px" /></a> As usual, the Google Play Console listing includes a front render of the device. The render reveals the presence of a centrally placed single punch-hole which will house the selfie camera.</p>
<p>As per the listed details, the LG Q92 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset. The mobile platform is a fast mid-range ARM-based SoC. It is one of the first chipsets that integrate a 5G modem- the Snapdragon X5. The modem brings support for speeds of up to 3.7 / 1.6 Mbps (down- and upload) and mmWave and Sub-6. The processor also features the Adreno 620 GPU. The SoC will be paired with 6GB of RAM but we can&#8217;t say if that will be the base model.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-2.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-333633" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-2.jpg?x96852" alt="LG Q92" width="735" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-2.jpg 735w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-2-300x163.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LG-q92-2-696x379.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px" /></a></p>
<p>The smartphone&#8217;s display will have an FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels but the screen size is still unknown. Further, the Q92 will boot Android 10 OS out of the box.</p>
<p>LG is yet to officially release any details of the upcoming model. However, the Q92 5G is believed to be a cheaper alternative to the well-received LG Velvet 5G. If that be the case, we may likely see the smartphone launched soon.</p>

And it seems that <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/covid-19">COVID-19</a> has not affected the company&#8217;s plan and everything seems to be on schedule.</p>
<p>As per the new reports, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tsmc">TSMC</a>) has officially entered the production stage. It is based on the 5nm process and also includes the Snapdragon X60 5G baseband.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-263536 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon.jpg?x96852" alt="Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon.jpg 750w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/snapdragon-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Compared to last month, the product capacity of the 5nm chips at the Nanke 18 factory has been increased by 10 percent to nearly 60,000 units in one month. As per the industry estimates, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm">Qualcomm</a> is investing 6,000 to 10,000 5nm wafers per month in TSMC.</p>
<p>Some estimates indicate that the Snapdragon 875 chipset could be delivered to Qualcomm somewhere around September. However, it remains to be seen when the company starts giving them to smartphone makers.</p>

<p>TSMC had previously started mass production of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-a14">Apple A14</a> chipset which is also based on the 5nm process. The company will be using this new chipset to power the upcoming iPhone 12 series which also features 5G support.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Samsung is expected to start mass production of Exynos 992 5nm chipset from August this year. Recently, ZTE <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/19/zte-5nm-chipset-launch-next-year/">also confirmed</a> that the company will be launching its 5nm chip next year and that its 7nm chip is in production.</p>
<p>Huawei is also reportedly working on two of its new chipsets using the same 5nm process &#8212; Kirin 1000 and Kirin 1020.
