After launching the Razer Phone 2 officially on October 11th, now its turn for China to get it soon. The new gaming smartphone has listed on official Razer’s Chinese website showing its high-end specs an features. Currently, it’s official pricing, and availability date is not revealed, but upon roughly calculating its international price, the Razer Phone 2 will be made available for 5,500 yuan ($799).

Razer is advertising its cooling system, wireless charging, waterproof and its famous chroma ray light effect logo in China. In chroma ray light effect, users can customise its LED light colour as per the need. Additionally, Razer is coming with a transparent colour edition which will show its internals and LED lights.

Razer Phone 2 carries significant advancements over its predecessors. The new device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is much better and power efficient chipset. It is coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and a cooling system, so you can enjoy gaming without worrying about the heat. It is available in 64GB and 128GB of internal storage options with the same 8GB Of RAM on both the variants.

Razer Phone 2 carries a 5.72-inch IGZO display having the resolution of 2560×1440 with a 120Hz refresh rate. It hosts an aspect ratio of 16:9 with a maximum brightness of 645 nits. It supports Qualcomm Quick charge 4.0+ with Qi wireless charging and holds IP67 certification of dust and waterproof. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

In the camera department, Razer Phone 2 carries a dual 12-megapixel sensor with a wide angle and telephoto lens. The aperture is f/1.75 with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) PDAF phase focusing, etc. On the front, there’s a single 8-megapixel camera for selfies having an aperture of f/2.0.

The official website provided a “buy now” button, but the link is not working as of now. We need to wait for some time more as country-specific variant will come soon.

Yesterday, Razer announced its second edition of the gaming smartphone, Razer Phone 2. It packs some good upgrades over its predecessor with similar pricing. Razer has made it available with the “Razer Chroma RGB logo” for customisable RGB lighting. It’s available only in a couple of colour options. In order to give users more options to choose, Razer will be introducing a clear glass back variant of the device very soon.

Razer’s design will beautifully fit into the transparent module showing its rugged and functional design. It’s not a new thing, Xiaomi (Mi 8 EE) and HTC (HTC U12+) already have devices featuring a transparent back. In the year 2015, famous YouTuber JerryRig peeled off colour from glass-backed phones gathering a good reception. Later, with popularity, OEMs started producing devices with transparent designs.

The transparent Razer Phone 2 will give users an extraordinary look of internals with the RGB Led lighting. We hope it will make a special place among the fans of the Razer gaming smartphones.

Currently, there’s no information regarding its availability and pricing. It’s also not clear that whether it will bring any change in its internals or not and will be a fully transparent or translucent on the backside. We are looking forward to some more details about the transparent Razer Phone 2.

Razer Phone 2 has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark with some high-end specs. It carries Snapdragon 845  with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of ROM. The new appearance has confirmed the previously leaked benchmark results on Geekbench. Previously, Razer Phone was spotted on Geekbench with similar specs. Along with the spec details, it scored 283,397 points which is really huge in terms of overall performance. Recently, the renders of the device surfaced which allowed us to know more about its design.

This time thanks to AnTuTu, we have some more details about the Razer Phone 2. It carries 5.7 inch of Sharp IGZO LCD screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Razer Phone 2 has attained higher refresh rates at 120 hz with the help of Qualcomm Q Sync display technology. It will ultimately help users while playing high end games on the mobile device. Currently, it’s not clear whether Razer Phone 2 will carry a big notch display or waterdrop display.

Razer Phone 2 specs

In terms of specs, Razer Phone 2 will carry Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 for high-end gaming. It will come in the combination of 8GB+512 GB storage, which is quite a big upgrade in comparison to the 64 GB storage with the previous year’s model. Razer Phone 2 will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

In Geekbench, for the single core test it scored 2,026 points and for multi core it hit 8,234 points. On Antutu, it scored overall 283,397 points, but we suggest not to take these scores seriously, as these are attained under the testing environments. In reality, the device might have a different (likely lesser) score as it will be in a real environment.

Recalling the Razer Phone first generation specs, it carries the same 5.7 inch IGZO LCD screen with the 1440X 2560 display. It packs Snapdragon 835 with 8GB of RAM. In the camera department, there is 12MP+12 MP of dual sensors for better photography.

We expect the device to launch in the month of October or November along with the Android 9.0 Pie on the board. What other changes do you expect from this year’s Razer Phone 2 ?
