The Realme 10 Pro series was recently launched in China. The series consists of the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+. The global launch of these devices is scheduled for December 8, which will see these devices debut in markets like India, Indonesia, and Malaysia among others.

Ahead of the launch, the pricing for these devices in the Malaysian markets has been tipped. The information comes from known leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore, who has tweeted out the prices of both the Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ for Malaysia.

According to him, the Realme 10 Pro will cost RM 1299 ($297) for the 8GB+256GB version, whereas the Realme 10 Pro+ with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost RM 1799 ($412). These are likely the top-end configurations of these devices intended for the Malaysian market. As revealed in an earlier report, the Realme will be using the older Dimensity 920 chipset in the Realme 10 Pro+ instead of the newer Dimensity 1080 chipset in some markets, including Malaysia.

Realme 10 Pro 5G specifications

The Realme 10 Pro boasts a 6.72-inch 120Hz IPS LCD FHD+ display. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is included. The Snapdragon 695-powered gadget has up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage and up to 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

The number of smartphone launches next week is expected to be too many. That’s because some of the big-name launches intended for this week have been postponed. These events are now expected to take place as early as next week.

A total of 5 brands may hold press conferences in the upcoming days. Three of them will take place in China, while the remaining two will be held in global markets.

The companies that will be debuting new handsets are Xiaomi, iQOO, Huawei, Tecno, and Realme. Let’s take a look at all the phones that are expected to go official next week.

Upcoming Smartphones Next Week

Tecno Phantom X2

The Tecno Phantom X2 is scheduled to launch on December 7. The press conference will be held in Dubai. We are not sure whether there will be a live stream.

Tecno Phantom X2

Thanks to leaks and official teasers, we know a lot about the successor of the original Phantom X. Its main highlights will be MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset and 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz curved Super AMOLED display.

Other expected features include a 64MP triple camera system, a 32MP selfie camera, Android 12, and a 5,100mAh battery.

Realme 10 Pro Series

The Realme 10 Pro series is set to launch in global markets, including India, on December 8. These phones are already official in China, and therefore, we know everything about them.

Realme 10 Pro Plus

Xiaomi 13 Series

The Xiaomi 13 series was supposed to go official on December 1. But it has been now delayed. Though the company is yet to announce the new launch date, we believe that it may mostly make its debut next week.

Xiaomi 13

As per teasers and leaks, the lineup consists of two models, namely Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Both will have a similar design, however, the vanilla variant will be smaller and sport a flat display instead of a curved panel like the pro version.

The duo will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. They will sport a Leica-powered triple-camera system. The sensors will be different on the two but they will have three proper lenses (wide, 75mm telephoto, and ultra-wide).

The duo will be IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. They will have support for 67W (standard)/120W (pro) wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

iQOO 11 Series and iQOO Neo 7 SE

The iQOO 11 series and iQO Neo 7 SE were scheduled to launch on December 2. But unfortunately, the event has been now delayed and the new launch date is yet to be announced. The devices will likely debut next week.

They will look similar with one major difference. The pro model will flaunt a curved display instead of a flat screen like the regular model.

The Pro variant is said to come with a 6.78-inch QHD+ 120Hz Samsung E6 curved AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 50MP Sony IMX866 main camera, 4,700mAh battery, 200W fast wired charging support, and more.

Whereas, the iQOO Neo 7 SE is expected to arrive with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, 64MP primary camera, Android 13, 5,000mAh battery, 120W fast wired charging support, and more.

Huawei Enjoy 50z and Nova 10 SE

Huawei scheduled a press conference in China for December 2. This event has been postponed, just like the previously discussed two events. There’s no new date announcement from the company yet but it will most probably take place next week.

Huawei Enjoy 50z

The company has confirmed to unveil two handsets at this event, namely Huawei Enjoy 50z and Huawei Nova 10 SE. Both of them are already official in global markets. The former goes by Huawei Nova Y61.

These 4G budget smartphones will be accompanied by Huawei Watch Buds, Huawei Watch Kids 5X, and Huawei FreeBuds 5i.

These series include very interesting midrange devices in terms of value for money. One is the Honor 80 SE: the most affordable variant of the Honor 80 Series, including two flagship-class variants. Then there is the 10th generation of the Number Series by Realme, including the Realme 10 Pro. If you are not an expert on phones, maybe it won’t be easy for you to understand which of these two devices offers the highest value for money: we are here to help you. Here, you can find a comparison between the most important specifications of the Honor 80 SE and the Realme 10 Pro.

Design

The Honor 80 SE and the Realme 10 Pro are beautiful and elegant phones, but my favorite one is definitely the Honor 80 SE, and most people should prefer it over its rival. Despite being a midrange device, it is incredibly thin and lightweight, with a thickness of just 7.7 mm and a weight of just 175 grams. Further, it comes with a curved screen at the sides just like flagship phones in the Android world. I also like the diamond-like texture on the rear side of the phone. The Realme 10 Pro is another original and elegant phone, but thicker and lighter, and without a curved screen. There is no way for it to compete with the Honor 80SE, in my honest opinion, at least when it comes to the design.

Display

If your goal is to get a better image quality and a better display, then you should opt for the Honor 80 SE. It sports an amazing OLED display able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also sports an in-display fingerprint reader. This panel has superior color reproduction, as well as deeper blacks. Unfortunately, the Realme 10 Pro has an IPS LCD display, so nothing special when it comes to image quality. It comes with a diagonal of 6.72 inches, a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 HZ refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Given that it is an IPS panel, the fingerprint reader is side-mounted, on the power key.

Specs & Software

The Honor 80 SE and the Realme 10 Pro are very close if we talk about the performance, but they have two different chipsets, so there is a winner and a loser. The MediaTek Dimensity 900 found on the former is more powerful than the Snapdragon 695 5G found on the latter. The Dimensity 900 is a chipset built with a 6 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture including two Cortex A78 performance cores running at a max frequency of 2.4 GHz, six Cortex A55 efficient cores running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G68 MC4 GPU. The Snapdragon 695 5G is built with the same production process and it has an octa-core architecture composed of two Kryo 660 Gold cores running at 2.2 GHz, six Kryo 660 Silver cores running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 619 GPU. On both phones, the chipsets are paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage, but the Realme is the only one with expandable storage. Note that Realme 10 Pro runs Android 13 out of the box (customized by Realme UI 4.0), while the Honor 80 SE is still based on Android 12 (customized by MagicOS 7).

Camera

The Realme 10 Pro has a better main camera with a 108 MP resolution, but it lacks an ultrawide sensor. The Honor 80 SE has a 5 MP ultrawide sensor, but the main 64 MP camera is inferior. On the other hand, it has a better 32 MP selfie camera.

Battery

The Realme 10 Pro sports a bigger battery and provides longer battery life, but the Honor 80 SE charges quicker thanks to 66W fast charging.

Price

The starting price of the Realme 10 Pro roughly translates into €220/$220 in the Chinese market, while the Honor 80 SE starts from about €330/$330. Which phone would you pick?

A few days ago, Realme announced the Realme 10 series smartphones in its home country China.
Design

The Realme 10 Pro+ is not only a more beautiful device than the Realme 10 Pro but also one of the most beautiful smartphones launched this year. It has a very thin body and a curved screen at the edges, as well as very narrow bezels around the display. On the rear side, there is a stunning texture for the glass back and a minimalistic camera module composed of two circles. Besides being thin and beautiful, this phone is also very lightweight as it weighs just 173 grams. It is so beautiful that it almost looks like a flagship and I like it even more than the Realme GT 2 Pro. The Realme 10 Pro has a flat design, with flat borders like iPhones and a flat display. It is definitely less impressive, but it is not an ugly phone and it is very elegant.

Display

Besides having a better design, the Realme 10 Pro Plus sports a superior display. It is an AMOLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, HDR10+ certification, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a brightness of 800 nits, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It shows more brilliant colors and very deep blacks, and it is definitely one of the most advanced panels in the midrange segment. Unfortunately, the Realme 10 Pro has an IPS LCD display, so you can not expect a comparable image quality. It is a display with a diagonal of 6.72 inches, a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 680 nits. The fingerprint reader in this case is side-mounted, on the power key.

Specs & Software

With the Realme 10 Pro Plus, you can get a more advanced hardware department thanks to the presence of a better processor. The chipset we are talking about is the Dimensity 1080 by MediaTek, built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture. This SoC is composed of two Cortex A78 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2.6 GHz, six Cortex A55 CPUs running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G68 MC4 GPU. Alongside the chipset, there are up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS internal storage. You can get the same memory configuration with the Realme 10 Pro, but with an inferior chipset: the Snapdragon 695 5G, built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture with a max frequency of 2.2 GHz. The operating system installed on these two phones is Android 13, customized by Realme UI 4.0.

Camera

The Realme 10 Pro+ wins the comparison even when it comes to the cameras. These phones are both equipped with a 108 MP main sensor and a 2 MP macro shooter, but the Pro Plus variant adds an additional ultrawide sensor with a resolution of 8 MP. The front cameras are exactly the same with a resolution of 16 MP and an f/2.5 focal aperture.

Battery

The Realme 10 Pro and the Pro Plus have the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. But the Realme 10 Pro+ is able to provide longer battery life thanks to the presence of a more efficient display, as it has an AMOLED panel instead of an IPS one. Further, it charges quicker thanks to 67W fast charging instead of just 33W.

Price

Realme 10 Pro starts from €220/$224 at the actual change (8/256 GB), while you need at least €230/$238 for the Pro Plus (8/128 GB). Which one would you pick?

Design

I like the design of the Realme 10 Pro very much due to its minimalistic look. It does not have a camera island, but it replaces it with two small and circular camera modules placed directly in the rear cover and with a flash LED on the right. Given that there are only two cameras on the rear side, it looks very elegant and minimalistic. Further, it has flat borders just like the devices from the latest iPhone lineups. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is still a beautiful phone, especially if we consider its original color options such as the violet one. Further, it is splash resistant and dust resistant with the IP53 certification, so it is interesting even in terms of build quality.

Display

If you want the most advanced display, you must choose the Redmi Note 12 Pro without thinking twice. In this duo, it is the only one with an OLED display, and this is already enough to let you prefer this device instead of the Realme 10 Pro. But besides that, it is also a great panel when it comes to the rest of the specifications. It is a display with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, one billion colors, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 900 nits, and an under-display fingerprint reader. Unfortunately, the Realme 10 Pro has an inferior IPS panel. It is a display with a diagonal of 6.72 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 680 nits.

Specs & Software

The most powerful hardware department belongs to the Redmi Note 12 Pro. It has a better Dimensity 1080 chipset by Mediatek, built with a 6 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture. The SoC is composed of two Cortex A78 performance cores running at a maximum frequency of 2.6 GHz, six Cortex A55 efficiency cores running at 2 GHz, and a Mali G68 MC4 GPU. The phone offers up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. The Realme 10 Pro has an inferior Snapdragon 695 5G chipset by Qualcomm running at a max frequency of 2.2 GHz alongside up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. But the Realme 10 Pro has two important advantages: the presence of a micro SD slot and Android 13 out of the box instead of Android 12.

Camera

The Redmi Note 12 Pro sports a superior camera setup: it is composed of a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro lens. The Realme 10 Pro has just two cameras on the rear side: a 108 MP main sensor without OIS and a 2 MP macro lens.

Battery

The battery capacities of these two handsets are exactly the same: 5000 mAh. But the Redmi Note 12 Pro provides a longer battery life thanks to the presence of more efficient components, especially the OLED display. Further, it charges quicker thanks to 67W fast charging. The 5000 mAh battery of the Realme 10 Pro supports 33W fast charging.

Price

The starting price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro roughly translates into $269 or €269, while the Realme 10 Pro starts from €220 or $220. The Redmi wins the comparison due to its better display, cameras, and faster charging.

Now, Realme India has now officially teased the Realme 10 Pro series in India through Twitter and via a landing page.
Realme 10 series is expected to debut in the global market by early November. It is speculated to hit the Indian market by the end of November. Recent reports have claimed that the company will initially announce the Realme 10 and Realme 10 Pro+ smartphones on the market. A new tweet from a reliable source, Ice Universe, has shed some light on the Realme 10 Pro’s screen.

As can be seen in the tweet, the tipster can be seen talking about how Samsung has widening bezels on its flagship phones like the S22 Ultra. The tipster shared an image and said that the Realme 10 Pro will have an AMOLED screen with curved edges. The image also reveals that the 10 Pro will have a super-slim chin, which measures only 2.3mm in thickness.

In 2023, except Samsung, all other brands are cutting the bezel in design to make the phone look more stunning, only TM Roh has widened the bezel for Samsung phones, as far as I know, many Samsung internal employees are angry. pic.twitter.com/gbipd4dwWs
— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) October 24, 2022

The bottom bezel of the Realme 10 Pro is said to be thinner than that of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which measures 2.6mm. While there is no confirmation yet, the Realme 10 Pro+ may feature an identical display. At the TENAA certification platform, the 10 Pro+ was recently seen with a curved edge AMOLED panel.

The Realme 10 Pro+ will be powered by the Dimensity 1080 chipset. It is expected to arrive in three variants: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. It is likely to feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The handset is expected to be available in three colors, such as Hyperspace, Dark Matter, and Nebula Blue.

Rumors are rife that the Realme 10 lineup will include multiple models, such as the Realme 10 4G, Realme 10i, Realme 10 5G, Realme 10 Pro, and Realme 10 Pro+ 5G.
