The Realme UI 7.0 early access program began last month, starting with the Realme GT 7 Pro. The beta program then expanded to more Realme phones in the second and third rounds of early access recruitment. So far, the beta update has been available only for high-end phones, but it has recently started expanding to mid-range phones as well.

The Realme P3 was the company’s first mid-range phone to receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update globally. The update was recently released and is now available for more mid-range phones, including the Realme 14T, Realme 14 Pro, and Realme Narzo 80 Pro.

If you’re rocking any of these phones and want to access the new features ahead of the stable rollout, you must sign up for the early access program before the slots fill up.

How to sign up for the Realme UI 7.0 early access program?

To sign up for the early access program, you must first enable developer settings on your Realme phone. To do this, go to Settings > About device > Version > Version number, and then tap the build version seven times in quick succession.

Now, let’s get you signed up for the Realme UI 7.0 beta program. Go to Settings > About device > and tap on the Realme UI 7.0 banner at the top. Next, tap the three dots button in the upper-right corner and choose the Beta program. Now, go to Early Access > Apply Now and submit the required details to complete your application.

You should receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update on your phone within the next few days after successful registration. Please note that this is a beta update, and therefore, some features or apps may not function properly.

Before downloading the update package, ensure that your Realme phone has sufficient storage. The Realme UI 7.0 update weighs about 3-5GB. Second thing, charge your phone to at least 40% before installing the update.

The fourth round of Realme UI 7.0 early access recruitment is already live

It appears Realme has already begun its fourth round of Realme UI 7.0 early access recruitment without any official announcement on the official community. The Realme P3, Realme 14T, Realme 14 Pro, and Realme Narzo 80 Pro should be part of this round, as the third round only covers Realme 6 and Realme 6T.

The first round began towards the end of last month, which only covered the Realme GT 7 Pro. The second round went live in the first week of the month, followed by the third round in the same week. Now, the fourth round is live, which focuses on mid-range phones.

Realme has launched its 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ smartphones in Europe, marking its debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC) with plans to double its global user base by 2027. As usual, there are many preloaded apps, some of which can be uninstalled or disabled.

Adjusting the aperture is possible only in 720p 30fps mode. AI Screen Recognition and AI Snap mode help capture moving objects quickly, while AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity further elevate photography. Its under-display fingerprint sensor has been repositioned lower, making it more accessible and user-friendly.

For health-conscious users, the Realme Lab offers a heart rate measurement feature using the under-display fingerprint scanner, though its accuracy may not match medical-grade devices. AI Eye Care detects eye fatigue and adjusts screen settings accordingly. Air Gestures allow hands-free control of the phone, and the Free Call feature supports Bluetooth calling on compatible handsets, proving useful when there’s no network. However, I wish the Next AI features were consolidated into one place in the settings. Additionally, I hope Realme adds support for AI features like AI Transcribe and AI Remove Reflection through future updates. The inclusion of an IR blaster and NFC would have been nice additions in this price point.

Verdict and Competitors

While Realme’s numbered series has traditionally been known for its photography capabilities, the Realme 14 Pro takes a surprising step back in camera innovation. The Realme 12 Pro offered a telephoto lens, and the 13 Pro retained an ultra-wide lens while the telephoto camera was removed. However, the 14 Pro relies primarily on its 50-megapixel main sensor, with the 2-megapixel mono sensor adding minimal value. This pared-down camera setup may disappoint fans expecting cutting-edge photography from the series.

That said, the Realme 14 Pro shines in other areas, ensuring it remains a strong contender in its segment. Its superior display, capable chipset, and remarkable battery life make it a compelling choice for users prioritising performance and longevity over photography.

Realme is set to launch the Realme 14 Pro series globally tomorrow starting with India. The event starts at noon local time and will be live-streamed. The series includes two models: Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+.

Realme 14 Pro Series Details

Both smartphones will be available in three colors in India. Suede Grey and color-changing Pearl White are common to both models, while the Realme 14 Pro will have an exclusive Jaipur Pink option, and the Realme 14 Pro+ will feature Bikaner Purple.

The Realme 14 Pro+ was already introduced in China. Details about the Realme 14 Pro model will be clarified during the event. That said, the teasers on Realme’s website have already confirmed many details. The Realme 14 Pro series will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The smartphones sport a 6.83-inch quad-curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 1.6mm bezels, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1500 nits.

The phones will be available in four colors—White (Pearl design), Suede Grey, Jaipur Pink, and Bikaner Purple (the latter two exclusive to India)—the phones are 7.5mm thick. Other details revealed so far confirm that the smartphones feature a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 1.6mm bezels on all four sides. The display supports 3840Hz PWM dimming, a peak brightness of 1500 nits, and a quad-curved design with a 42-degree golden curvature.

The Realme 14 Pro Series will be available in four color options: White (with a Unique Pearl design), Suede Grey, Jaipur Pink (exclusive to India), and Bikaner Purple (also exclusive to India). The phones are 7.5mm thick, offering a sleek form factor.

Battery and Performance

Both smartphones are equipped with a 6000mAh Titan battery that could support 80W fast charging. It will also feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary rear sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording, accompanied by a 16-megapixel front camera.

The Realme 14 Pro+ 5G, on the other hand, is expected to include a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC and support faster 80W SuperVOOC charging. 

The camera setup is more versatile, with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering up to 3x optical zoom, and a 112-degree ultrawide shooter. On the front, it will house a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

Both models will pack 6,000mAh batteries and feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. Realme has also introduced a cold-sensitive color-changing technology that transforms the Pearl White variant to a vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures below 16°C.

Realme has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated Realme 14 Pro series, set to debut in January 2025. The rear panel can change its color

The series will reportedly feature two models: the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro Plus. The highlight is the advanced rear panel, which changes color when exposed to temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius. Unlike the UV-sensitive color-changing feature seen in the Realme 9 Pro Plus, the Realme 14 Pro Plus uses cold-sensitive technology, developed in collaboration with Valeur Designers.

On the front, the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a quad-curved AMOLED screen that promises a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio thanks to 1.6mm slim bezels. The overall thickness of the device is only 8mm. The company asserts that the 30-step “fusion fiber” process gives each Pearl White unit of the 14 Pro series’ back panel a unique look.

Speaking of the camera module design, which the company dubs as “Ocean Oculus” triple camera offers the industry’s first “Magic Glow” triple flash, which includes three dual-color temperature LEDs, for natural portrait shots in low-light conditions. While the Chinese variant has the RMX5050 model number, it appears that its global version has the RMX5051 model number. It appears the Realme RMX5055 model, which was recently certified by the 3C authority, could be the Realme 14 Pro. The certification revealed that the device will support 45W fast charging.

Realme has already confirmed that the Realme 14 Pro+ will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and a 3x periscope telephoto camera. Realme 14 Pro 

The Realme 14 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, as confirmed by the teaser. DCS corroborates the same. A previous report suggests that the SoC will be paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage. 

The tipster further claims the phone will include a triple-lens rear camera system. The main sensor is a 50MP lens with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. It will be paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50MP IMX882 periscope sensor with a 1/1.95-inch size and 3x optical zoom.

The leak also mentions an 80W fast-charging system. For the display, Realme is said to use what’s described as an “equal depth quad-curved screen,” which likely means smooth, curved edges on all four sides. Additionally, the phone features a plastic middle frame and a “short-focus optical” fingerprint sensor, which is probably an optical one. 

Now that Realme has started teasing the phone in India, a December launch seems likely. However, the company appears to have another launch event planned for the Realme 14x before that.

The phone is set to launch on December 18 and will feature the Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, as confirmed by the company today.

Notably, it will be India’s first IP69-rated smartphone priced under ₹15,000. The IP69 rating ensures protection against water damage, even if the device is submerged, exposed to 85-degree Celsius hot water, or used in the shower. The phone will pack a 6,000mAh battery with 45W charging support and will be available in Red, Gold, and Black color options.
