<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme</a> has increased the prices of its Realme 16 series smartphones in India. The revised pricing is now live across all three models: the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-16/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 16 5G</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-16-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 16 Pro 5G</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-16-pro-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 16 Pro+ 5G</a>.</p>

<p>The latest revision affects nearly every storage configuration in the series. Among the three phones, the biggest jump is on the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, where some variants have become costlier by as much as Rs. 3,000.</p>

<h2><strong>Realme 16 series price hike in India</strong></h2>

<p>Following the price change, the Realme 16 5G now starts at Rs. 33,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, instead of its earlier Rs. 31,999 price tag. The 8GB + 256GB version now costs Rs. 36,999, while the 12GB + 256GB variant has gone up to Rs. 39,999. Both of these versions received a Rs. 3,000 increase.</p>

<p>The Realme 16 Pro 5G is also a bit more expensive now. Its 8GB + 256GB variant is now priced at Rs. 39,999, up from Rs. 38,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB + 256GB option now costs Rs. 42,999 instead of Rs. 41,999. Both variants saw a Rs. 1,000 increase.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="692" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--1024x692.png?x23692" alt="Realme 16 Pro series-" class="wp-image-722365" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--1024x692.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--300x203.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--768x519.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--696x470.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--1068x722.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series--621x420.png 621w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-Pro-series-.png 1203w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme 16 Pro series-</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The higher-end Realme 16 Pro+ 5G sees the sharpest rise in pricing. The 8GB + 256GB version is now listed at Rs. 46,999, compared to its earlier Rs. 44,999 price. The 12GB + 256GB model now sells for Rs. 48,999 instead of Rs. 46,999, while the top-end configuration has jumped from Rs. 49,999 to Rs. 52,999.</p>

<p>Realme is not the only smartphone brand revising prices in India. Several companies in the mid-range smartphone segment have recently adjusted prices upward. Brands including OnePlus, Poco, and Lava have also reportedly increased prices of select devices in recent weeks.</p>

<p>The recent hikes are believed to be linked to growing pressure on smartphone makers due to rising production expenses. Industry-wide issues such as higher component prices and memory chip shortages are continuing to affect device costs globally, and manufacturers appear to be passing some of that increase on to buyers in India.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme’s</a> Vietnamese wing has started <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/15/realme-16-design-rear-selfie-mirror-leak/">teasing the arrival of the Realme 16</a> in the country. Early teasers reveal a horizontal camera bar on the back, similar to the design language seen on Google Pixel phones and the recently launched iPhone Air. However, Realme adds its own twist by integrating a dedicated selfie mirror next to the rear cameras.</p>

<p>At the same time, the device has been prematurely listed on a Vietnamese retailer’s website, revealing almost everything about the smartphone ahead of its official announcement.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme 16 specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="574" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-1024x574.png?x23692" alt="Realme 16 color optins" class="wp-image-723650" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-1024x574.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-300x168.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-768x430.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-696x390.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-1068x599.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins-749x420.png 749w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Realme-16-color-optins.png 1249w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme 16 color optins</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-16">Realme 16</a> is listed with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display offering a Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is said to deliver up to 4,500nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor usage. For protection, the display is covered with AGC DT-Star D+ shield glass. An in-screen fingerprint scanner is integrated for biometric authentication.</p>

<p>On the camera front, the Realme 16 features a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. At the back, it houses a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary lens. The smartphone is listed to run Android 16 out of the box, which is likely to be layered with Realme UI 7.</p>

<p>Powering the Realme 16 is the MediaTek <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-6400">Dimensity 6400 Turbo</a> chipset. The phone will be available with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 256GB of internal storage. Storage expansion is supported via a microSD card slot. One of the standout features is its large 7,000mAh battery, which supports 60W fast charging.</p>

<p>For connectivity, the Realme 16 has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, an IR blaster, and a USB-C port. Despite packing a large battery, it maintains a slim 8.1mm profile and weighs 183 grams. Durability is another highlight, with the phone carrying IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme 16 variants, color options, and availability</strong></h3>

<p>The listing reveals that the Realme 16 will be available in two variants: 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. It will launch in Air Black and Air White colour options. The device is listed for availability starting February 2, which appears to be its official launch date. Pricing details have not been disclosed yet.</p>
