Realme has just launched the GT Neo2 smartphone in India. Alongside the new flagship grade device, the company has also launched a number of other products like the Brick Bluetooth Speaker, 4K Smart Google TV Stick, Buds Air 2, and more in the region.

Buds Air 2

Talking about the Buds Air 2 first, the Chinese smartphone maker has launched a new true wireless earbuds. The Buds Air 2 were first unveiled back in March 2021, and have now been launched in the Indian market. It features ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and arrives in a new Closer Green color option along with its existing color variants, including Closer White, Closer Black, and Closer Gold. The new wireless earphones offer a total playback of 25 hours when paired with the charging base and support 88ms super low latency mode as well. The Buds Air 2 are available in India for 3,299 INR (~$44) [Introductory price: 2,599 INR].

Brick Bluetooth Speaker

The Realme Brick Bluetooth Speaker is a new portable speaker from the Chinese brand that, as the name suggests, resembles a brick with its rectangular cuboid design. These Bluetooth speaker can output 20W sound and feature a 2 speaker unit consisting of dynamic bass boost drivers. Furthermore, it will also be compatible with the Realme Link app and the company claims it can last for up to 14 hours on a single full charge via  a USB Type C charging port. It even arrives with two extra bass radiators and has IPX5 water resistance as well. The Brick Bluetooth speaker are available in India for 2,999 INR (~$40) [Introductory price: 2,499 INR].

4K Smart TV Google Stick & Gaming Accessories

Alongside the two audio based products, the brand also launched the new 4K Smart TV Google Stick as well. It is set to be the first streaming device from the company and will offer native 4K resolution support. The device will run the Google TV interface and arrives in a Black color design. It offers 4Kp60 AV1 Encoding along with HDR10+ Encoding as well.

Lastly, the company has also launched a three new mobile gaming accessories, which includes the new Cooling Back Clip Neo, Type C SuperDart Game Cable, and Mobile Game Triggers. The 4K Smart Google TV Stick is available in India for 3,999 INR (~$53) [Introductory price: 2,999 INR], while the Cooling Back Clip Neo is priced at 999 INR (~$13), Type C SuperDart Game Cable for 599 INR (~$8), and Mobile Game Triggers will go for 699 INR (~$9).

Pricing and Availability

Most of the aforementioned products will be available for purchase on Flipkart, a popular Indian e-retailer, with its first sale starting from 18th October 2021. Unfortunately, the company has yet to announced the 4K TV Stick’s launch date.

The realme Google TV Stick is in the news since last month, The product was expected to debut alongside the new narzo phones but it did not. A few days later, the first-ever streaming device from realme finally gets a launch date.

According to the realme TechLife official Twitter account and the brand’s website, realme’s first streaming device will be called ‘realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick’. The product has been confirmed to launch in India on October 13.  It will be unveiled alongside realme GT Neo2.

As per the company, its upcoming streaming accessory will run Google TV. It will have support for leading streaming platforms and other applications as well as games from the Play Store.

Further, the TV stick will be able to output content at 4K 60fps along with HDR10+. It will have an HDMI 2.1 and will come with Chromecast Built-in and Google Assistant.

Apart from the above-mentioned specifics, thanks to a leak, we know that it will be powered by an Amlogic quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. We also know that it will have dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a price tag below ₹5,000 ($67).

As we are still days away from the launch, we expect to learn more about the realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick in the coming days.

Realme will announce its first TV streaming stick this week. The device will launch as the Realme 4K Google TV Stick and it will run Google TV out of the box, making it the second portable streaming device that runs Google TV. When Realme’s streaming dongle arrives, it will come with a feature that puts it ahead of Google’s own portable streaming device, the Chromecast with Google TV.

One common user complaint of streaming dongles such as the Mi TV Stick and the Chromecast with Google TV is their abysmal storage capacity. Both aforementioned streaming devices have just 8GB of onboard storage, of which less than that is user-accessible out of the box. What is worse is that there is no cheap way to add extra storage.

The result of this meagre storage capacity is having insufficient space after installing a few apps. Users have to uninstall apps or games before they can install new ones or even update old ones. Yes, once you have insufficient storage, it is almost impossible to install an update for an app.

Realme is changing that with its own Google TV stick which has been reported will have 16GB of onboard storage, double that of the Chromecast with Google TV. While users will have less than 16GB of storage out of the box, we presume there will be at least 12GB of user-accessible storage space, more than double the 5GB of storage available out of the box on the Chromecast with Google TV.

At the moment, we don’t know how much the Realme 4K Google TV Stick will cost. It most likely will sell for higher than ₹2,999 (~$40), the price tag of the Mi TV Stick in India, which has an output of 1080p. However, there are reports Realme’s device will be priced under ₹5000 (~$68). For context, the Chromecast with Google TV is sold for $50 which converts to about ₹3685. If it were sold in India, it would cost more than that.

Earlier this week, news broke out that realme will be soon launching its first-ever streaming device in India. Earlier today, the brand hinted that this product will go official on September 24. A few hours from that, the key features of this TV accessory have been revealed by a leaker.

Tipster Yogesh Brar has partnered with RealmeTimes to share the key highlights of the upcoming realme 4K Google TV Stick. Let’s take a look at what he has to say about the first such product from realme.

As the name suggests, the first streaming device from realme will arrive in a stick form factor. Further, this product will run Google TV on top of the Android TV operating system. In fact, it will be the first streaming TV stick with the new Google TV interface.

The television accessory will be powered by a quad-core Amlogic SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Thanks to this chipset, it will have support for 4K resolution at 60fps, HDR10+, Bluetooth 4.2, and dual-band WiFi. 

Like any other streaming stick, it will ship with a voice-enabled remote control. Last but not least, it will come with an HDMI 2.1 port.

Yesterday, in an interview with GSMArena, the CEO of realme India confirmed that the brand will be soon launching a TV stick in the country. Within hours, the promo page for the 2021 edition of Flipkart’s ‘The Big Billion Days’ sale reveals the design and software of this upcoming streaming device from realme.

The world’s fastest-growing smartphone brand entered the smart TV category last year. The brand currently sells four television models in India, and two of them come in two different sizes.

These TVs will be soon accompanied by a streaming device called realme 4K Google TV Stick. As the name suggests, this product will likely run Google TV launcher on top of the Android TV operating system.

The realme TV stick will be the first-ever streaming device in India with Google TV. For those unaware, even the brand’s televisions don’t have access to this new software, just like TV models from most other companies.

Further, as per the render on Flipkart, the product will look like a candy bar with an HMDI port and a possible USB Type-A port. Other than that, going by the name, we can expect it to support 4K streaming. It might be also capable to run HDR content.

Having said that, realme is yet to officially start teasing its first streaming device for India. At the same time, Flipkart hasn’t announced the dates for the Big Billion Days sale.
