Realme recently took the wraps off its premium mid-range models – Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro. The models only went on sale for the first time in India yesterday (March 11). Today, Realme has revealed that the Realme 6 series will be launched in Europe on March 24.

Realme has built a formidable market base for itself in India since it opened shop in 2018. The company has equally extended its dragnet to Europe with tremendous success as a result of its impressive price offering compared to rival companies. The Realme 6 series keeps up with this marketing strategy as the base Realme 6 model has a starting price tag of Rs. 12,999 (~$175). Even though the prices in Europe will be slightly higher than India’s, the models are expected to offer amazing value for money.

As a reminder, the Realme 6 is equipped with a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with a single punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear side of the phone features a quad camera setup that includes a Samsung GW1 64-megapixel main lens, an ultrawide lens of 8-megapixel, a macro lens of 2-megapixel and a portrait lens of 2-megapixel.

The MediaTek Helio G90Tv drives the Realme 6 handset. It is equipped with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The handset has a 4,300mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. It has a side-facing fingerprint reader. The Realme UI based Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the Realme 6.

You can watch the launch event which will likely be an online event via Realme Europe’s website. The Livestream will commence at 10.00 AM CET on March 24. You can also subscribe on the website to get notified when the even is drawing closer.

The Realme brand is bared 3 years old but has got a fast-growing product catalogue to its name. The Realme 5 series launched last year was one of the brand’s most popular series with sales exceeding 5.5 million units. The Realme 5 is about getting a successor and going by recent tweets from Realme India’s CEO and the company’s official Twitter handle, the models will be known as Realme 6 and 6 Pro.

Realme India’s CEO Madhav Sheth teased the two devices are coming soon through a tweet. He later posted a second tweet which happened to be a photo sample shot using the Realme 6. This was confirmed by the watermark on the photo which captured Madhav Sheth and Bollywood star Salman Khan. The watermark equally confirmed the camera onboard is a 64MP main sensor in a quad-cam arrangement.

Later on, a teaser poster shared by Realme Mobile’s official Twitter page confirms the Realme 6 series is coming soon. However, there is no confirmation of the date when the device will be officially launched. We expect more details to emerge in the coming days, though.

Just like the Realme 5 series that had a Realme 5i model, the Realme 6 series will equally have a realme 6i model. The 6i had earlier appeared on FCC’s website to flaunt the design of the model. The device is expected to pack a Quad-camera setup but this time around, the main sensor will be a 48MP one. The realme 6i is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery which will sadly be charged via a micro-USB port.
