While waiting for it to hit the Indian market, we can examine all of its specifications and compare it with the other devices sold in the same price range. For this comparison, we chose the Redmi Note 9 and the Realme 6i. Note that Realme 6i exists in two different variants: the Indian version and the global version. The phone we will talk about in this comparison is the Indian version, while the global version is a more affordable phone with inferior specifications.

Design

The sleekest handset of this trio is the Realme 6i which sports a smaller camera module and a punch-hole display with a hole placed on the upper left corner. But if we talk about build quality, the Redmi Note 9 looks more interesting because it has a glass back instead of a full polycarbonate body. It is uglier, but it is well-built. Oppo A53 is thinner and lighter than its two rivals, but it is bigger due to its thicker display bezels.

Display

The most advanced display belongs to the Realme 6i: a Full HD+ panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is not a high-end panel and it is an average IPS display, but it is way better than Redmi Note 9 and Oppo A53 2020. Indeed, the former features a Full HD+ display with a standard refresh rate, while the latter has a low HD+ resolution, despite it features a 90 Hz refresh rate just like the 6i. The Realme 6i wins the comparison simply because it has both the features.

Specs & Software

Even when it comes to the hardware, Realme 6i is the champion. It has a more powerful Helio G90T chipset paired with up to 6 GB of RAM. With Redmi Note 9, which gets the second place, you get the Helio G85 paired with max 4 GB of RAM, while Oppo A53 has an inferior Snapdragon 460 SoC built with a better production process, but with lower performance. Oppo A53, Redmi Note 9, and Realme 6i run Android 10 out of the box, highly-customized by proprietary user interfaces.

Camera

On the paper, Realme 6i wins the camera comparison. It has exactly the same rear cameras as the Redmi Note 9, but it features a better chipset as well as a better front camera with a 16 MP resolution. With the Oppo A53, you get the same front camera as the Realme 6i, but the rear cameras are inferior to both its two opponents of the comparison. Realme 6i is able to record 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 120 fps with EIS. It has a 48 MP main sensor with an f/1.8 focal aperture, an ultrawide sensor, and two sensors with 2 MP resolutions for macro and depth.

Battery

The biggest battery belongs to the Redmi Note 9, but the OPPO A53 2020 should last more on a single charge because it has a lower resolution for the display and a more efficient chipset (the Snapdragon 460 built at 11 nm). Both feature 18W fast charging, but with the Redmi Note 9, you get 9W reverse charging (wired). Realme 6i has a smaller battery and a shorter battery life, but it has a much faster charging technology with a power of 30W.

Price

Oppo A53 sells for €140/$165, Realme 6i starts from €170/$200, and Redmi Note 9 has a €150/$177 starting price. The Realme 6i is a more advanced device thanks to its Full HD+ 90 Hz display and its better chipset, but unlike Redmi Note 9 and Oppo A53, it is not a battery phone.

Design

Do you prefer having a beautiful look or premium materials? If your answer is the first, then you should go for the Realme 6i as it offers a more minimalistic and elegant look, including a punch-hole display with narrow bezels and an elegant glass back with a smaller camera module. If you want the most premium materials, then choose the Redmi Note 9 Pro as it boasts a glass back instead of a full polycarbonate body. The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a plastic design just like the Realme 6i and an uglier design, imho.

Display

The most wonderful display belongs to the Samsung Galaxy M31. Since it is a Samsung device and Samsung makes AMOLED displays, the Galaxy M31 features a Super AMOLED panel, despite it is a very affordable device. So you get more brilliant color and deeper blacks. Redmi Note 9 Pro and Realme 6i both come with an IPS panel, but the Realme 6i comes with an additional feature: a 90 Hz refresh rate making the visual experience smoother. But a lot of people actually prefer having a 60 Hz AMOLED display rather than a 90 Hz IPS panel.

Specs & Software

If we look at the power of the chipsets found on these three devices, the Helio G90T found on the Realme 6i is the most powerful one. Snapdragon 720G is slightly inferior in terms of performance, but it is built at 8 nm and it has lower energy consumption. That is one of the reasons why it is actually more interesting, without mentioning Qualcomm’s reputation. Also note that you can get the Redmi Note 9 Pro in a configuration with 128 GB of internal storage, while Realme 6i stops at 64 GB. The SoC found on the Samsung Galaxy M31 is way inferior to Helio G90T and Snapdragon 720G in terms of performance. Redmi Note 9 Pro, Realme 6i and Samsung Galaxy M31 run Android 10 out of the box, with a customized user interface.

Camera

The camera award goes to the Samsung Galaxy M31 for offering a better main sensor on the rear side: a 64 MP lens with a f/1.8 aperture. It even comes with a better depth sensor than its rivals, sporting a 5 MP resolution. Last but not least, it has a superior 32 MP front camera which can shoot more detailed selfies and can also record 4K videos at 30 fps.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy M31 is the best even when it comes to the battery life. Thanks to its AMOLED display, a chipset built at 10 nm and a huge 6000 mAh battery, it can last more than two days even with intensive usage.

Price

Realme 6i is priced INR 12,999 in India, Samsung Galaxy M31 begins at INR 16,499, and Redmi Note 9 Pro starts at INR 13,999. If we exclude the hardware department, Samsung Galaxy M31 is actually a superior phone. It has a huge battery, better cameras and an AMOLED display.

Original story continues…

Last week, Realme announced the Realme C11 smartphone in India. Before its launch, a microsite for the Realme 6i phone had appeared on Flipkart retailer site. The listing had suggested that it will go official along with the Realme C11 phone. However, the Realme 6i listing that carried some of its key specs was taken down. The handset did not go official with the C11. A tweet released by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth yesterday suggested that the company may soon announce the Realme 6i phone.

With the love & trust of so many users I can proudly say that #realme6series is the most trusted smartphone series in the mid-range segment!#realme6 – 4.4/5#realme6Pro – 4.5/5

Expanding this series soon with another powerful addition! pic.twitter.com/L5JkamjzXY

— Madhav (@MadhavSheth1) July 19, 2020

The tweet states that Realme will be expanding the Realme 6 series soon with another powerful edition. The tweet does not mention the name of the Realme 6 series phone that will be announced in India in the near future. It seems that the company could be teasing the arrival of the Realme 6i phone.

The Realme 6i listing on Flipkart had revealed that it will be priced under Rs. 15,000 (~$200). It also revealed that the phone is equipped with a punch-hole display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate, a side-facing fingerprint reader, Helio G90T processor, and a quad-camera setup. Recent reports have revealed that the Realme 6s that debuted in Europe in May will be rebranded in India as Realme 6i. The only major difference between the Realme 6 and Realme 6s is that the former has a 64-megapixel main camera whereas the latter features a 48-megapixel primary shooter.

The Helio G90T powered phone has 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It has a dedicated slot for a microSD card. The Realme UI based Android 10 OS runs on the device.

It has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel. The 48-megapixel quad-camera setup includes other sensors an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device houses a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

Leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore came across a listing for the Realme 6i on Flipkart retailer site. It revealed some of its key features and carried a pricing hint. Also, it stated that the Realme 6i will be launching at 1 PM IST on July 14. There is no official confirmation on the arrival of the Realme 6i phone yet from Realme India. The company is currently teasing on the features of Realme C11 before its launch. It is likely that the company may also unveil the Realme 6i alongside it.

The Flipkart appearance revealed that the Realme 6i could be priced under Rs. 15,000 (~$199) in India. A screenshot of the homepage of the retailer site carried “Flipkart’s most powerful mid-ranger under 15k” text. The Realme 6i will be priced lower than the Realme 6 that carries a starting price of Rs. 14,999 in the country.

The smartphone features a 90Hz refresh rate supporting screen and it is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor. The image of the phone reveals that it has a punch-hole display and a quad-camera setup.

In March, Realme launched the Realme 6i phone in Myanmar. This phone landed in India as Realme Narzo 10. Hence, the Realme 6i coming to India won’t be the one that launched in Myanmar. Instead, it is said to be the rebadged edition of the Realme 6s that went official in Europe in May. The Realme 6i for India is expected to arrive in colors like black and white. It is equipped with a 48-megapixel main lens on its back.

Realme 6s specifications

The Realme 6s has a 90Hz 6.5-inch FHD+ resolution supporting IPS LCD display. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) quad-camera system. It runs on Realme UI based Android 10 OS and comes with 4 GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It has a side-facing fingerprint sensor. The Realme 6s houses a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

Yes, we know there is a phone already called the Realme 6i but that phone is sold in India as the Realme Narzo 10.

The info comes from the Indian tech blog OnPhones and they back up the claim with a photo of a poster taken at a retail store in India.

The image shows the Realme 6i has a punch-hole display with the hole for the camera at the top left corner of the screen. It also confirms that the phone will have an Helio G90T processor, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 48MP quad-camera setup on the back. It will also come in black and white color variants.

The source reports that the Realme 6i will be available in just one configuration and that is with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It was also revealed that the phone will launch next week according to the info gotten from the store attendant.

Seeing as the Realme 6 has gotten a price increase (now starts at INR 14,999), the Realme 6i should be a more affordable version with a price tag under INR 14,000.

Design

In my honest opinion, the king of the design in this trio is the Motorola Moto G8 because it offers a more futuristic punch-hole display while still providing a similar screen-to-body ratio to its two rivals. But if you are looking for amazing build quality you should not underestimate the Realme 6i as it is the only splash resistant phone in this comparison. But in each case, do not expect a premium design. All the devices from this trio have a plastic body instead of a glass back like higher-end phones. So if you want a more impressive design, you should move to something else such as devices from the Redmi Note 9 family, if you want to stay in a similar price segment.

Display

The display is not the strongest point of these handsets, just like the design. The Redmi 9 wins because it is the only to offer a Full HD+ resolution, so it provides a higher level of detail. Moto G8 and Realme 6i come with a below-average HD+ resolution, despite they have wide displays, so their pixel density is all but high. Redmi 9, Moto G8, and Realme 6i are equipped with average IPS panels, nothing so exciting. The only element making the difference is the Full HD+ resolution on the Redmi 9.

Specs & Software

While most of the people prefer having a phone with a Snapdragon chipset inside like the SD665 found on the Moto G8, the Helio G80 found on the Redmi 9 and Realme 6i actually scores more points on the most reliable benchmarks and it comes with high GPU performances. But the difference is not abyssal and the Snapdragon 665 chipset is built with a more efficient production process (11 nm vs 12 nm). Moto G8 also offers a lighter experience thanks to stock Android, while Redmi 8 and Realme 6i have highly-customized user interfaces. Note that you can get Realme 6i with up to 128 GB, while Moto G8 and Redmi 9 come with max 64 GB. But in each case, you can expand the internal storage through a micro SD slot (it is shared on the Moto G8 and dedicated on Realme 6i and Redmi 9).

Camera

The most impressive rear camera belongs to the Moto G8. Despite it has a triple camera instead of a quad camera, it sports an awesome main sensor with a bright f/1.7 aperture and laser autofocus boosting the photo quality. It is even able to record videos with a 4K resolution, unlike Realme 6i and Redmi 9. On the other hand, Realme 6i is still able to offer a great photo quality thanks to its 48 MP main sensor and a great 16 MP selfie camera. Redmi 9 should be the most disappointing one as a camera phone.

Battery

Realme 6i, Redmi 9, and Moto G8 are very good battery phones. But the longest-lasting one in most of the scenarios is the Realme 6i because it has a bigger battery than Moto G8 and a less energy-demanding display than Redmi 9 due to its lower resolution. Realme 6i is the king of battery life, but keep in mind that all of these phones offer a very long-lasting battery. Realme 6i and Redmi 9 support 18W fast charging, while unfortunately, Moto G8 does not provide any kind of fast charging technology.

Price

Redmi 9 and Realme 6i start from €179/$203 in their base variant with 3 GB of RAM (Redmi 9’s price varies depending on the market), while Moto G8 is only available in a version with 4 GB of RAM and it costs €199/$225. There is not a definitive winner of this comparison and you should make a choice based on your personal needs. Realme 6i has a longer battery life and pretty nice cameras for photos (it is my favorite one), Moto G8 has a great rear camera for photos and videos, and Redmi 9 has a better display.

But if you need the longest battery life, you have to go for an affordable phone. Thanks to their efficient components and often also to their huge batteries, a lot of entry-level and midrange smartphones offer a way longer battery life than high-end devices. This is a specs comparison between the most stunning battery phones released recently: Realme 6i, Motorola Moto G8 Power, and Samsung Galaxy M31.

Design

Realme 6i, Motorola Moto G8 Power, and Samsung Galaxy M31 are not the best phones if we talk about aesthetics. They are all built with a polycarbonate body. I personally like the Motorola Moto G8 Power a bit more because it boasts a punch-hole display instead of a waterdrop notch. But Realme 6i is still interesting because of its original rear cover. Realme 6i and Motorola Moto G8 Power are splash resistant, while Samsung Galaxy M31 does not offer any kind of protection against water. Note that the Motorola Moto G8 Power is also the one with the most compact body.

Display

Realme 6i loses the display comparison because it is equipped with a below-average HD+ panel offering a lower resolution than its rivals. Moto G8 Power and Samsung Galaxy M31 are both Full HD+ phones, but the Samsung Galaxy M31 wins because it features a Super AMOLED display showing more brilliant color and deeper blacks. Unfortunately, despite it is AMOLED, it does not have an in-display fingerprint reader. On these devices, the fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back. Note that Motorola Moto G8 Power offers a more advanced audio department thanks to stereo speakers.

Specs & Software

Samsung Galaxy M31 packs the most impressive hardware department. It has a more efficient chipset, a higher amount of RAM (6 GB) and even a UFS 2.1 internal storage, while its opponents come with a standard eMMC storage. Unlike the Moto G8 Power, Samsung Galaxy M31 packs a dedicated micro SD slot, so you do not have to renounce to the dual SIM slot while expanding your internal storage. But Realme 6i is still an amazing phone when it comes to performance, thanks to its Helio G80 chipset offering very high CPU and graphics performance. All the handsets run Android 10 out of the box, but while Moto G8 Power offers a nearly stock experience, the others have customized UIs.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy M31 is equipped with the most impressive camera setup, including a 64 MP main sensor and a 32 MP selfie camera. But if you need a device with better zoom capabilities, go for the Moto G8 Power as it is the only with a telephoto sensor, and it is very hard to find a telephoto lens on a so affordable device. Both Samsung Galaxy M31 and Moto G8 Power can record 4K videos, while Realme 6i can not.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy M31 has the biggest battery, but the Realme 6i has a more efficient display, so it offers a battery life as great as the Galaxy M31 in a lot of scenarios. Even Moto G8 Power is very close to its opponents. In each case, you get a phone which can last up to three days of moderate use on a single charge.

Price

Realme 6i is priced €199/$217 in its base variant, Samsung Galaxy M31 begins at €269/$293, and Moto G8 Power starts from €229/$250. Is it worth spending more for the Galaxy M31? Yes, we think it is since it offers amazing cameras, an AMOLED screen, and even a bigger battery. But do not forget that you can find the Realme 6i at very nice street prices making it a device with a higher value for money than both its rivals. Moto G8 Power has a telephoto sensor, a Qualcomm chipset, and a stock Android experience, but honestly we do not see a lot of reasons why it should be preferred to the Galaxy M31. Which one would you pick?

There is no doubt about the fact that Realme 6 Pro is overall the most advanced one, followed by Realme 6. But not under every aspect. In this comparison, we will highlight for you the differences between the specifications of Realme 6, 6i and 6 Pro.

Design

At first glance, the vanilla Realme 6 has the most elegant design because it is more minimalistic. While the 6i comes with a notch and 6 Pro has a dual punch-hole, the vanilla version has just a single punch hole in the display. But the 6 Pro wins the design comparison because it is the only with a glass back and its rear side is way more attractive than Realme 6. The silver medal obviously goes to the vanilla version. But each of these phones has a good build quality and protection against water (they are splash resistant).

Display

The displays of Realme 6 and 6 Pro offer exactly the same specifications with the exception of the diagonal: the Pro variant has a slightly wider 6.6-inch screen (but it comes with a dual punch hole instead of a single one). In both cases, you get a Full HD+ resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a 120 Hz touch-sampling rate, as well as a high 480 nits brightness. The 6i is inferior with its 6.5-inch display sporting a lower HD+ resolution and a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. So if you need a very nice display, either go for the IPS panel of the Realme 6 or the 6 Pro without thinking twice.

Specs & Software

Despite it is mounted on a more affordable version, the Helio G90T found on the vanilla Realme 6 has actually better CPU and GPU performance than the Snapdragon 720G found on the 6 Pro. A lot of people prefer Qualcomm’s chipsets due to MediaTek’s past, but that is the truth. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 720G has a way lower energy consumption than Helio G90T as it is built with a 7 nm production process. The memory configurations in which the two handsets are offered are the same. Realme 6i is powered by an Helio G80 chipset which is inferior to both Helio G90T and Snapdragon 720G, but it is still a very nice SoC with high GPU capabilities. With the whole trio, you get Android 10 out of the box, customized by Realme UI.

Camera

Realme 6 Pro has the most advanced cameras and despite it is not a high-end camera phone, it includes a telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. It even comes with an ultrawide dual front camera. Its camera potentialities are superior to Realme’s mid-rangers released during the last year, including the Realme X2. Currently, the only better camera phones from Realme are the X2 Pro and the X50 Pro 5G. The silver medal goes to the vanilla Realme 6 coming with a quad rear camera, but it lacks a telephoto sensor and an ultrawide front camera.

Battery

Realme 6i is able to offer the longest battery life thanks to a huge 5000 mAh battery and a display packing a lower resolution and a standard refresh rate. Right after, there is 6 Pro which achieves a better result thanks to its efficient Snapdragon 720G chipset.

Price

Realme 6 and 6i are available globally with price tags starting from €199 and €229, while 6 Pro is still an Indian exclusive with a price starting from Rs. 16,999 in the peninsula. At the end of the day, the 6 Pro wins the comparison. But if you do not care a lot about cameras, maybe Realme 6 is enough for you. The 6i boasts the longest battery life, but the other specs are inferior to both 6 and 6 Pro.

The phone was launched today at an event in Myanmar featuring this new chipset as well as a quad-camera setup at the back.

World’s First Helio G80 Smartphone

The Helio G80 processor sits just below the G90T gaming chipset from MediaTek. It features two Cortex-A75 performance cores clocked at 2GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s the Mali-G52 GPU handling the graphics. The company reveals that the Realme 6i scores nearly 201K on the AnTuTu benchmark.

REalme 6i colors- GIZMOCHINA

The Realme 6i should be placed just below the Realme 6 (powered by the G90T) that was announced earlier this month in India. Basically, consider the Realme 6i to be the true successor of the Realme 5i model.

Realme 6i Camera & Battery

Unlike the Realme 6 and 6 Pro, the Realme 6i continues with the waterdrop or the mini-drop display (Realme’s term for waterdrop) measuring 6.5-inches and a screen to body ratio of 89.8 percent. It’s likely going to be an FHD+ panel, which would be an upgrade from the HD+ screen on the Realme 5i. However, we couldn’t confirm this information and will update the story when we get more details.

Editor’s Pick: Here’s Why Realme didn’t launch the Masters Edition for the X50 Pro 5G

At the back, the Realme 6i features a quad-camera setup arranged vertically. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. This is yet another deviation from the other two Realme 6 series model which feature side-mounted fingerprint sensors. The quad-camera setup consists of a 48MP primary sensor along with a 119° ultra-wide-angle camera, a dedicated B&W portrait sensor, and a macro camera (up to 4cm). On the front mini-notch, you have a 16MP f/2.0 AI beauty camera for selfies.

The phone continues to use a large 5000mAh battery as its predecessor but has upgraded fast charging to 18W. For software, you have the Realme UI based on Android 10.

Realme 6i Price & Availability

The Realme 6i starts at KS 249,900 (~$176 / Rs. 13,000) for the 3GB RAM and 64GB variant and goes up to KS 299,900 (~$212 / Rs. 15,700) for its unusual 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant.

The Realme 6i will be arriving with a waterdrop notch display. There is no confirmation on the display size and the supported resolution. The display notch will be housing a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel. The device will be backed by a huge battery of 5,000mAh capacitive battery. The smartphone will be equipped with a USB-C port through which it will carry support for rapid charging.

Editor’s Pick: Realme 6 series is launching in Europe on March 24

In comparison, the Realme 5i smartphone that had gone official few months ago had arrived with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display that supported a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It featured a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel.

The 5,000mAh battery of the Realme 5i was only provided with 10W charging support. The rear shell of the Realme 5i sported a quad camera setup that comprised of a 12-mgeapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. While the company has already confirmed that the Realme 6i has an AI quad camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens, the configurations of its other lenses are not known yet.

Last year’s Realme 5 has almost identical specs as the Realme 5i. The only major differences between the two phones is that the Realme 5 has a better 13-megapixel selfie camera and larger internal storage. Recently, Realme unveiled the Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones. These phones were made official as successors of Realme 5 Pro and Realme X phones from last year. The Realme 6i appears like the successor of the Realme 5 phone.

The new Helio G80 chipset that powers the Realme 6i was announced last month. Another poster released by the company reveals that the Realme 6i will be equipped with an 18W fast charger. The poster reveals that the bottom edge of the device has a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port and an external speaker. The company also revealed that it has a 48-megapixel quad camera setup.

Myanmar won’t be the only country that will be receiving the Realme 6i smartphone. Recent reports have revealed that the Realme 6i has been approved by many certification agencies like FCC (U.S), EEC (Russia), BIS (India), NBTC (Thailand), IMDA (Singapore) and SIRIM (Malaysia). Among the aforementioned regulatory bodies, only the FCC appearance of the phone managed to reveal some of its important details.

The FCC listing of the Realme 6i carried some of its live shots. It revealed that the smartphone has a waterdrop notch display, a quad camera setup and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The device will come with a 5,000mAh battery. The handset has 164.5 x 75.5 x 9mm dimensions and it weighs 195 grams.

The Helio G80 chipset is an inferior SoC than the Helio G90T that powers the Realme 6. Hence, it appears that the Realme 6i will be positioned lower than the Realme 6i which went official in India with a starting price of Rs. 12,999 (~$175). Probably, the handset could be arriving in India with a starting price of Rs. 9,999 (~$135).

The Realme 6i first appeared in the news back in the second week of January 2020 when it was certified by Singapore’s IMDA. More than a month later, it was spotted on the FCC’s database which gave us our very first look at the phone. The images revealed the phone will have four rear cameras, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and what appears to be a notch in the display.

Now, a poster has revealed that the chipset inside the phone is the Helio G80. This processor was announced early last month and it should sit in between the Helio G70 inside the Realme C3 and the Helio G90T inside the Realme 6.

We already know the Helio G70 is a better processor than the Snapdragon 665 thanks to this comparison video made by MediaTek. However, the Helio G80 will not be a better chipset overall than the Helio G70 and this is because it has fewer performance cores. Below is the CPU configuration of the two chipsets:

Helio G80 = 2x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz

Helio G70 = 4x Cortex-A75 at 2.0GHz + 4x Cortex-A55 at 1.7GHz

As we have seen in the case of the Snapdragon 720G versus Snapdragon 730G, just because a processor has a higher model number does not mean it will offer better performance. The Helio G70 has the upper hand because it has more performance cores which means it will score higher on benchmarks.

However, the Helio G80 does win in one area and that is the GPU. It has the same GPU as the Helio G70 which is the Mali-G52 but it is clocked higher at 950MHz as against the G70’s 820MHz. Other than these two differences, the rest of the specs of the two chipsets are the same.

The Realme 6i will come with a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. A Geekbench listing that surfaced today revealed the phone will run Android 10 out of the box and have 4GB of RAM.

There is no info yet regarding the launch of the Realme 6i but it should be soon.

The Realme 6i has now appeared on Geekbench with some key specs. The benchmarking platform also has a new listing for the RMX2063 Realme phone. The RMX2063 was spotted at FCC dataset in January. Since the Realme 6 Pro has a model number of RMX2061, the RMX2063 handset could be a country variant of the same phone.

Realme 6i Geekbench

The RMX2040 Realme 6i has appeared with Helio G70 chipset and 4 GB of RAM on Geekbench 5. The handset is loaded with Android 10 OS. It scored 345 and 1293 points in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5.

The Realme 6i’s FFC appearance had revealed that it features a waterdrop notch display. A quad camera setup that is present on its back has a 48-megapixel main unit. It has a 5,000mAh battery. The phone is likely to support 18W fast charging through USB-C.

The launch date of the Realme 6i smartphone is yet to be confirmed. The Geekbench listing of the unannounced smartphone suggests that the Chinese firm could be checking its performance before making it official. The recently unveiled Realme 6 had arrived as the successor for the Realme 5 Pro and not Realme 5. Hence, there is a possibility that the Realme 6i could coming as the Realme 5.

The images show the Realme 6i also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The volume buttons are on the left while the power button is on the right.

The camera is not the only upgrade. If you look at the bottom of the phone, you will see there is a USB Type-C port at the bottom, flanked on one side by the audio jack and microphones while the other side has a speaker grille.

Sudhanshu Ambhore who shared the photos on Twitter stated that the phone has a 5000mAh battery capacity. Also, there is an image of two different power adapters that support 9V 2A output (18W). That should be good news for anyone looking to purchase the phone.

The rest of the specs are unknown. However, based on the above info, we know the Realme 6i is keeping the design of the Realme 5i but will have improved cameras, a USB-C port, and support for 18W fast charge.

Since the Realme 5i launched not long ago, it will be surprising if Realme announces a successor so soon.

We do not know when the phone was certified but the certification reveals the model number is RMX2040. Seeing as the Realme 5i is a redesigned Realme 5 with downgraded cameras, the Realme 6i should toe the same path of having some trade-offs when compared to the Realme 6 which is yet to launch.

The Realme 5 launched in August last year but seeing as the timeframe between phones is now shorter, the Realme 6 may arrive sooner than later.

Realme has quite a number of products coming soon. India’s BIS recently certified a Realme watch which is expected to be its first fitness tracker. The Realme C3 and Realme C3s have also received certification in Singapore and Thailand respectively. Realme has also said it plans to launch a TV this year and will also announce a number of IoT products too.

We are still in the second week of the year, so there is still a bit of waiting to do before several of these products are announced.
