<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Normally, brands have beta programs for their new software but realme, on the other hand, is running an alpha program called ‘Alpha Squad’ for its popular </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-7-pro/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme 7 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> smartphone. That means we can expect two more such programs in the form of ‘Closed Beta’ and ‘Open Beta’ aka ‘Public Beta’ before the final release.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Therefore, we can expect the stable update to roll out from January 2021. The update may even arrive later as the</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-x50-pro-5g/"><span style="font-weight: 400"> realme X50 Pro</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> whose </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/08/realme-x50-pro-android-11-beta-registrations/"><span style="font-weight: 400">first beta recruitment</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> began in early September is yet to receive a single stable build.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Having said that, if you are a realme 7 Pro user, you can apply for the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme-UI-2-0/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme UI 2.0</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> ‘Alpha Squad’ in a link provided in the official announcement post on </span><a href="https://c.realme.com/in/post-details/1330516569599508480"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme Community</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> (via </span><a href="https://twitter.com/thetymonbay/status/1330808956227264512"><i><span style="font-weight: 400">Tushar Mehta of XDA</span></i></a><span style="font-weight: 400">).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unsurprisingly, realme is only recruiting 50 users for this program. Above all, the requirements for selection are bizarre as well. Because you must have a </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> service center nearby as these alpha builds do not support rollback. Hence, users will have to take their phone to a nearby service center to install the latest stable build in case of any problem.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Also, only users who are regularly active in the realme community are eligible for the program just like on the basis of how </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> recruits </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MIUI/"><span style="font-weight: 400">MIUI</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> beta and pilot testers. In a nutshell, this program is not meant for everyone and most users should stay away from risking their smartphone during the pandemic.</span></p>
