After launching the Realme 9 series and Realme Pad Mini in India, the company is all set to release them in the European markets. Realme has announced a launch for May 12 at 1 PM CET(4:30 PM IST/11 AM UTC). The launch will be streamed live on Realme’s Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook pages.

The Realme 9 series has two models — Realme 9 4G and Realme 9 5G. Both are already available in India, but the European Realme 9 5G will have a different specs sheet. As per the company website, the smartphone will come with a 120Hz LCD panel and a 50MP triple camera system. It will have Snapdragon 695 SoC as opposed to the Dimensity 810 SoC as seen in the Indian model of the Realme 9 5G.

Realme 9 4G Specifications (India model)

The Realme 9 4G sports a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a Full-HD+ resolution and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display also doubles up as an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has a triple camera system with a 108MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Realme 9 5G Specifications (India model)

The Realme 9 5G comes with a different design. It features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ resolution panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as opposed to the 4G version’s in-display scanner. It has a triple camera system with a triple camera system having a 48MP main lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The device has a 16MP selfie snapper. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Realme Pad Mini Specifications (India model)

The Realme Pad Mini has an 8.7-inch display with a 1340 x 800 pixels resolution. In India, the tablet comes with a UNISOC T616 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It has a 6,400mAh battery with a modest 18W charging speed. It features an 8MP single camera and a 5MP selfie snapper.

Realme has launched multiple devices in their latest numbered series lineup like the Realme 9 Pro, realme 9i, realme 9 Pro, realme 9 Pro+, and the Realme 9 5G. Now, the company has launched the Realme 9 4G smartphone as the latest addition to the lineup. So let’s take a closer look at what the new device brings to the table.

Display & Design

Design-wise, the Realme 9 4G has a similar appearance to the other devices in the latest numbered line with a flat back and curved edges. The smartphone features a Ripple Holographic Design on the back which shows different patterns when exposed to light at an angle. The back has a rectangular camera module and housed three lenses and an LED Flash. The device is also quite slim at just 7.99mm and weighs around 178 grams.

On the front, we get a flat 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD+ screen with slim bezzles around it. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel has 1,000 nits peak brightness and houses an in-display fingerprint scanner capable of measuring your heart rate.

Hardware & Software

Under the hood, the Realme 9 4G features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM of ram and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Realme also offers the Dynamic Ram feature on this device letting users virtually expand the RAM capacity of the device by up to 5GB. The storage of the device can also be expanded via a Micro-SD card with the capacity maxing out at 256GB.

It boots Android 12 out of the box with the Realme UI 3.0 skin applied on top. The device houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W Dart charging. Realme has claimed that it only takes 31 minutes to achieve 50% charge capacity with the 33W fast charger. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack certified by Hi-res Audio promising an excellent listening experience. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

Cameras

The back panel of the Realme 9 4G features a triple camera unit headlined by the new Samsung ISOCELL HM6 108-megapixel image sensor. This new sensor comes with Samsung’s new and improved Nonapixel Plus technology combining 9 pixels into one delivering sharp details in images and improved clarity in low light conditions. The 108MP ProLight Camera on the Realme 9 4G has an f/1.75 aperture, 6P Lens, and a FOV of 83.63°.

This camera is coupled with an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 119.9° field of view and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.45 aperture.

Additionally, the company has also brought Street Photography Mode 2.0 to the Realme 9 4G giving users access to features like the popular 90s Pop filter, DIS snapshot, and peek and zoom. Pricing & Availability

The Realme 9 4G is priced at ₹17,999 for the 6GB + 128GB configuration and ₹18,999 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration. The brand has announced that for the first sale, the device can be had for ₹15,999 and ₹16,999 respectively while using an HDFC bank card for payment or opting for EasyEMI using an HDFC bank card.

The first sale of the device will commence on April 12 at 12 noon. The device will be available for purchase on Flipkart and realme.com. The smartphone comes in three color options namely Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White and Meteor Black.

The Realme 9 4G is scheduled to launch on April 7th in India. The device has been subject to multiple leaks revealing most of its specs and features. Now, the device has also appeared on Geekbench, confirming its SoC, RAM capacity, and Android version.

According to a MySmartPrice report, the Realme 9 4G with model number RMX3521 appeared on the Geekbench database. The listing revealed that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC which comes with an octa-core processor onboard. Four of these cores have a max clock speed of 2.4GHz and the other four are clocked at 1.9GHz. The SoC also has an Adreno 610 GPU onboard.

The Geekbench listing shows the device has a 6GB RAM capacity, while previous leaks have also stated that the brand will also launch an 8GB RAM configuration of the Realme 9 4G. Other than that, the phone runs Android 12 out of the box which will come with the Realme UI 3.0 skin on top. Coming to the benchmark results, the device scores 380 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 1569 points in the multi-core test.

Realme recently confirmed that the latest device in their numbered series dubbed the Realme 9 4G will be launching on April 7th in India. Now, the landing page of the device has appeared on Flipkart and Realme India website confirming some of its specs.

The listing reveals that the upcoming Realme 9 4G will come equipped with a 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness. The screen will also house an in-display fingerprint scanner which will double as a heart rate monitor. Previously, Realme has also offered this feature on the 9 Pro+ devices. On the Realme 9 Pro+, it works by opening the heart rate measurement tool on the device and keeping a finger pressed on the fingerprint scanner until it shows a reading on the screen. So we can expect the feature to operate similarly on the 4G sibling.

And going by the latest revelation by Brar, the Realme 9 4G could indeed be the rumored device.

So far, realme has debuted three models in the realme 9 series, namely realme 9i, realme 9 Pro, and realme 9 Pro+. The brand is expected to release the vanilla realme 9 in the coming days as it had already been certified by multiple agencies as a 5G smartphone. Now, the 4G variant of this handset has also been spotted online.

The Realme 9 4G has been certified by various certification agencies like FCC, EEC, EMT, BIS, and Thailand Telecom. It bears the model number RMX3521. We first heard about this phone in November but were not aware of its marketing name.

According to the listings online, the device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery bearing model number LP883. Users will be able to charge this cell at the rate of 33W.

Going by the handset’s listing in the Camera FV-5 database, it will sport a 48MP camera system. It will house a 1/4-inch primary sensor with a 73.7mm focal length, an f/1.78 aperture, and an ISO in the 100-6400 range. Whereas, the front 16MP sensor will be 1/3-inch in size featuring 27.2mm focal length, an f/2.5 aperture, and ISO in the 100-1600 range.
