The post Deal: Realme Band 2 is down to just $29.99 today appeared first on Gizmochina.

Last year, realme entered the wearable category with the launch of realme Band. This product got a successor in the form of realme Band 2 last week in Malaysia. The latest fitness tracker from the brand has now debuted in India.

realme Band 2 Price and Availability in India

The realme Band 2 is priced at ₹2,999 ($41) in India. It will be sold via realme.com, Flipkart, and partner retail stores across the country.

The first sale of the fitness tracker is scheduled for September 27 at 12 PM.

realme Band 2 Specifications and Features

The realme Band 2 is totally different from its predecessor. It looks more like a smartwatch than a fitness tracker. It features a design similar to that of HONOR Band 6 and HUAWEI Band 6.

The accessory sports a 1.4-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 167 x 320 pixels and 500 nits brightness. This screen supports touch input and there’s a capacitive button at the bottom bezel.

It comes in a single Space Grey color option with 50m water resistance. However, users can buy any 18mm interchangeable wrist strap of their choice separately.

The wearable arrives with a 3-axis accelerometer, an optical heart rate sensor, and an SpO2 sensor. It supports 90 sports modes (via future OTA update), heart-rate monitoring, blood oxygen level monitoring, sleep monitoring, menstrual cycle monitoring, and stress monitoring.

It also has features like sedentary reminders, breathing exercises, music playback control, camera shutter, alarm, reminder, app notifications, call alerts, and others. Users can also use the band to control select realme AIoT products.

The fitness accessory connects via Bluetooth 5.1 and uses the realme Link companion application. It is compatible with devices running Android 5.1+ and iOS 11+.

Last but not least, the realme Band 2 is backed by a 204mAh battery, which is rated to last for up to 12 days.

The post realme Band 2 launched in India with 1.4-inch display, 90 sports modes, 12-day battery life, and more appeared first on Gizmochina.

A couple of days ago, Realme launched its latest wearable device in the form of Realme Band 2 in Malaysia. Now, the company is gearing up to launch this new smart wearable product in its biggest market — India.

The Realme Band 2 will be officially launched in the Indian market on 24th September at 12:30 PM local time. At the same event, the company will also be launching the Realme Narzo 50 series smartphones as well as Realme Smart TV Neo.

The upcoming smart fitness band has been listed on Flipkart which means that the device could be exclusively available for purchase in the Indian market via Flipkart along with Realme’s own online store.

The Realme Band 2 features a 1.4 inch TFT LCD colored display that offers a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Compared to its predecessor, the screen is larger. It also comes with several features aimed at health and fitness.

It comes with a SpO2 blood oxygen sensor, a sleep monitoring sensor, and the heart rate sensor. There are 90 workout modes available on the device, including walking, running, cycling, swimming, and many more.

The new smart band is also water-resistant up to 50 meters and comes with 50 watch faces as well. Under the hood, it’s powered by a 204mAh battery which the company claims can offer up to 12 days of battery life over the 10 days on the original Band.

As noted, the device has already been launched in Malaysia, where it costs 139 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately $34). In India, the original Realme Band was launched for ₹2,999 (~$41) but is currently available for ₹1,499 (~$20). As for the upcoming Realme Band 2, we expect the pricing to be somewhere between ₹2,999 and ₹3,499.

The Realme Band 2 has just been launched. It is the latest smart wearable product from the company and arrives with various features related to health monitoring along with new stylish wrist straps.

The Realme Band 2 sports a 1.4 inch TFT LCD colored display that has a rectangular shape that has a maximum brightness of 500 nits. This screen is larger than the 0.96 inch on the previous model. The new smart band from the Chinese smartphone maker also features a number of health and fitness based features like an SpO2 blood oxygen sensor, a sleep monitoring sensor, and the usual heart rate sensor as well. Notably, the heart rate and blood oxygen sensor is from Goodix, which has also supplied these sensors for the company’s Watch series. Goodix is also the supplier for the Band 2’s Low Energy Bluetooth SoC.

Furthermore, the Band 2 supports up to 90 workout modes like walking, running, cycling, swimming, and many more. Under the hood, a 204mAh battery powers the band, which the company claims can offer up to 12 days of battery life over the 10 days on the original Band. The new smart band is also water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with 50 watch faces as well. As of right now, the new wearable has launched in Malaysia for a price of 139 Malaysian Ringgit (roughly 34 US Dollars).

Interestingly, while the brand has yet to announce the availability details for the Indian market, a recent leak has revealed some information regarding its launch. According to tipster Yogesh Brar (Via 91Mobiles), the new fitness tracker will be available in the region sometime in the month of October 2021. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt for now.

The post Realme Band 2 launched with 12 day battery life, heart & blood oxygen tracking appeared first on Gizmochina.

We first learned of the Realme Band 2 back in July when renders of the fitness tracker were posted on the web. Almost two months later, and Realme is ready to announce the new wearable.

The Realme Band 2 will be announced on September 15 in Malaysia according to an official poster that has begun circulating. The event is scheduled to begin at 12 PM Malaysian time and will be done via the realme Facebook account.

Realme is going with a brand new design different from that of the model that launched last year. However, this is not a design we have not seen before. The Realme Band 2 has a design similar to the Huawei Watch Fit. This is also the same design of the Honor Watch ES and the Honor Band 6. However, the Realme Band lacks a button on the side.

The display is much bigger now as shown in the photo, and an earlier report said it is a 1.4-inch screen, a significant increase from the 0.96 inches of the Realme Band. The larger screen should allow for more information to be displayed at a time.

The Realme Band 2 is expected to come with more features and support for more sports modes. Among the expected features is support for SpO2 measurement. The Realme Band launched with support for tracking 9 activity modes, so there is a high probability the successor will pack several more modes. The battery should also be bigger since the Realme Band 2 is packing a significantly larger display.

While there is no news yet regarding when the fitness tracker will launch in other regions such as India and Europe, we believe they will eventually be announced in these regions in the near future.

Realme is expected to soon update its smart band lineup with the launch of the upcoming Realme Band 2. Thanks to the leaked renders, the wearable was earlier spotted in full glory. Now, it has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) hinting at a launch sooner than expected.

According to the BIS certifications(first spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma), the smart band bears the model number RMW2010. Unfortunately, there’s nothing to learn from the listing other than getting warmed up for its announcement.

In addition to this, the Realme Band 2 with the same model number appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification confirming its connectivity. It will support the latest Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, meaning that the pairing and connectivity would be stable.

The recently leaked renders showcased the smart band’s design. According to the renders, the Realme Band 2 looks quite similar to Huawei’s Band 6. It has a bigger 1.4-inch display compared to its predecessor Realme Band’s 0.96-inch screen. It is expected to be an LCD panel.

The band’s dimensions are 45.9 x 26.6 x 12.1mm and it seems to have a thicker body as compared to the original Realme Band. Moreover, the Realme Band 2 is expected to come with multiple watch faces, several sports modes, and a heart rate sensor.

With more certifications incoming, we can expect the wearable to debut soon. It may first launch in India before heading to other markets.

Last year, Realme announced its first fitness tracker – the Realme Band. Now, it is set to announce a successor, and renders of the wearable called the Realme Band 2 show the manufacturer is going with a new look but one that is familiar.

The Realme Band 2 adopts the full-screen design we have seen on fitness trackers like the Honor Band 6 as seen in these renders courtesy of OnLeaks and Digit. The display is bigger but it is still surrounded by thick bezels, and a line below the screen seems to be a marker for a capacitive button. The tracker has a curved frame that appears to be made of metal but it might be plastic.

Another visible change is the design of the straps which do not have a seamless fuse with the body like that of the Realme Band. On the underside, the upcoming band features more sensors which might mean it will have support for blood oxygen level detection.

We want to believe the Realme Band 2 will come with a magnetic charger that attaches to the underside but the two circles at the top appear to be sensors and not contact pins. We do not know if this is an error from the creator of the renders or if the band changes in a different way.

The Realme Band 2 is said to have a 1.4-inch display, a big upgrade from the 0.96-inch display of last year’s model. Its dimensions are given as 45.9 x 24.6 x 12.1 millimeters. The device will have Bluetooth 5.1 according to a listing on Bluetooth SIG when it launches later this year. We can also expect support for more sports modes.

Smartphone brand realme entered the wearable category last year with the launch of the realme Band in early 2020. A year later, the company now sells multiple smartwatches, however, it still only offers a single fitness tracker. Thankfully, that’s going to change with the release of realme Band 2.

Handset maker realme is soon expected to launch realme Band 2 with model number RMW2010. This wearable has been certified by Bluetooth SIG. The listing reveals the product to arrive with Bluetooth 5.1.

Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the second-generation fitness tracker from realme. Hence, we can only speculate its features based on the specs of the original model.

For those unaware, the realme Band sports a 0.96-inch LCD screen. Therefore, we can expect its successor realme Band 2 to arrive with a larger OLED display as found on Mi Bands, HONOR Bands, and HUAWEI Bands.

Further, it may come with more than 9 activity modes and feature a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen level monitoring. Other anticipated features include heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, app notifications, call/message alerts, music control, longer battery life, and more.

As far as price is concerned, if realme plans to continue selling the original realme Band, then realme Band 2 should cost around ₹2,000 in India. If not, we can expect it to debut at around ₹1,500.
