Smartphone brand realme unveiled realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 in September 2020. Since then, the company has been trying to update eligible devices to the newer version of its mobile software. The latest phones to receive this update are realme X2, realme C12, and realme C15.

The three devices that have now started getting the realme UI 2.0 stable update got their first beta build between late January to early February. This means it took the brand nearly six months to deliver stable builds.

That being said, the Android 11 stable update for these handsets arrives with the following build numbers.

• realme X2 – RMX1992EX_11.F.20/ RMX1992AEX_11.F.20
• realme C12 – RMX2189_11.C.05
• realme C15 – RMX2180_11.C.05

The latest system update brings new features of realme UI 2.0, which is basically ColorOS 11, in addition to Android 11. However, it is worth noting that not all features are available on all smartphones.

Further, like any other OTA software build, the above-listed builds are being rolled out in batches. As a result, they might take some time to reach every unit out there in the market.

Finally, if a user is not satisfied wit the new software, they can roll back to Android 10 (realme UI). But this rollback process will wipe the phone’s internal storage.

Chinese smartphone maker realme unveiled realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 in late September 2020. Just like the previous iteration, the latest version of the brand’s mobile operating system is based on OPPO ColorOS, version 11 to be exact. So far, the company has only released stable update for a single device – realme X50 Pro. However, multiple phones have received beta builds. Now, six more handsets have been added to the beta program.

Every OEM has a different name for their beta program. Hence, realme calls its initiative ‘Early Access’. When the brand officially announced realme UI 2.0 in the second half of last year, it also revealed an update timeline for all the eligible smartphones.

The company has been recruiting beta teasers for its devices, as per the schedule. Therefore, following the timeline, it has now opened beta registrations for the below-listed phones as part of the January 2021 quota.

• realme X2
• realme 6
• realme C12
• realme C15

Interested users of the above-mentioned handsets can head over to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Trial Version > Apply Now and submit details to enroll in the initiative. If they get selected, they will be receiving the beta update via OTA.

That said, for some reason, any user wants to downgrade to the stable channel, they can do it by downloading and installing the appropriate rollback file. However, it is worth noting that this process will format their smartphone’s internal storage and they won’t be able to rejoin the Early Access program.

With all that being said, we do not know when realme will begin to seed stable builds for these phones. Because even the previous batch is yet to receive the stable update.

A few months ago, Realme announced the Realme C15 smartphone in several markets. Tipster Mukul Sharma had recently claimed that the company is gearing up to launch a new variant of the phone called the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition. Today, the tipster revealed that the device will go official in the next two or three days. He also revealed that the device will be called Realme C15s.

Sharma did not reveal any new information on the specs of the Realme C15s. It is still unclear which Snapdragon processor will be present under its hood. Last week, he had revealed that the phone will be available in two variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage. The phone is expected to arrive in two color variants like Power Blue and Power Silver.

It is speculated that the RMX2195 phone that has been spotted at different certification platforms could be the Realme C15s. Its China Quality Certification (CQC) certification revealed that it could be equipped with a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, which is the same as the Realme C15 phone. The handset has also received certification from Wi-Fi Alliance, Singapore’s IMDA, Indonesia’s TKDN, and Malaysia’s SIRIM.

The first C-series phone from the brand i.e. the Realme C1 featured the Snapdragon 450. All the C-series phones that came later were driven by MediaTek chipsets. The Realme C17 that went official in September is the only other Snapdragon-powered phone. It is driven by the Snapdragon 460 chipset.

Probably, the Snapdragon 662 or Snapdragon 665 SoC could be present under the hood of the Realme C15s. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about it

Leaked information shared by popular tipster Mukul Sharma reveals that the Chinese firm could be planning to launch the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition phone. The tipster has shared the key details of the new CPU variant of the Realme C15.

Realme recently launched Realme C11, Realme C12, and Realme C15 phones in India. All of them are equipped with MediaTek chipsets. In an interview with 91mobiles in August, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth said, “Maybe we will launch the Qualcomm version of C11, C12, and C15 if the customers ask for it in the near future.” Hence, it appears that after the Realme C15 Qualcomm Edition, the company may also bring Qualcomm versions of the C11 and C12 phones.

Coming back to the Realm C15 Qualcomm Edition leak, it will come in two variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage. It will be available in colors like Power Blue and Power Silver. There is no information on the other specs of the device.

It is even meant for gaming, thanks to HyperEngine technology. The only thing which changes in the hardware departments of these devices is the memory configuration. With Realme C11, you get just 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, while with the Realme C12 you can get 3 GB of RAM which is definitely better not only for advanced users but for daily use too. The Realme C15 comes with up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of RAM and it represents the best option for power users. In each case, you get a micro SD dedicated slot, a dual SIM slot, and Android 10 out of the box customized by Realme UI.

Camera

The camera setup changes depending on the model, but all you get with the costlier ones is a higher number of sensors. Indeed, the main camera is always a 13 MP f/2.2 sensor. With the Realme C11, you only get one additional depth sensor. With Realme C12, you get two additional sensors, including the 2 MP depth sensor found on the Realme C11 and a 2 MP monochromatic camera. With Realme C15 you get all these sensors plus an 8 MP ultrawide camera. Further, it has a better 8 MP front camera than Realme C11 and C12. If you do not care about ultrawide shots and selfies, then Realme C11 and C12 are enough for you. But if you do, you’d better go for the Realme C15.

Battery

In each case, we are talking about amazing battery phones. Thanks to their huge batteries, these devices are able to last a lot of time on a single charge. But Realme C12 and C15 are superior to the Realme C11 due to their bigger 6000 mAh battery (instead of 5000 mAh). Besides offering a bigger battery than Realme C11, the C15 also comes with 18W fast charging, which is not present on the C11 and the C12.

Price

Given that these devices are still not global, we will only mention the prices for the Indian market. Realme C11 costs about €84/$100 (Rs. 7,499) at the actual change, Realme C12 is priced €100/$120 (Rs. 8,999), and Realme C15 costs €123/$147 (Rs. 10,999). The Realme C15 is naturally the best, but with the Realme C12 you can save money with a limited number of compromises: you only have to renounce two better camera sensors, fast charging, and a higher-end memory configuration. Unless you are a really basic user, we do not recommend the Realme C11 since it has just 2 GB of RAM. Further, it has a smaller battery.

The tweet released by Realme does not explicitly reveal the names of the upcoming C-series as Realme C15 and C12. However, it does suggest that India could be receiving more than one C-series handsets. The Realme C12 and C15 phones that are believed to have Realme RMX2189 and RMX2180 model numbers have recently received approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Also, the C15 was spotted on Realme India’s support page recently. Hence, it appears that these devices are likely to go official soon in India.

In July, Realme unveiled the Realme C11 phone in India. However, the country is yet to receive the Realme C15 phone that went official last month in Indonesia. MySmartPrice has spotted the Realme C15 moniker in the support page of Realme Indi’s official website. It is a clear indication that the phone could be soon landing in India.

Realme India may soon start teasing on the arrival of the Realme C15. At present, there is no confirmation on whether the handset will be made official this month.

Realme C15 specifications

The Realme C15 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a mini-drop notch. It supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. The Helio G35 chipset is present under the hood of the device. It comes with up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.

The Realme UI based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the Realme C15. The phone houses a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through microUSB.

Realme just launched its best battery phone: the Realme C15. Despite coming with one of the biggest batteries in the last generation of Android devices, it is an entry-level phone carrying a very affordable price. But is it the best entry-level out there or it is just the typical battery phone with mediocre specifications? Here is a comparison with two other great handsets in the entry-level segment which will let you find out. We compared the specifications of the Realme C15 with the recently-announced Redmi 9C and the Samsung Galaxy M01s; you can let us know if you agree with our opinions in the comments.

Design

When you look for an entry-level device, you should not focus on the design that much. These devices all come with a polycarbonate body and they do not offer premium materials. But on the other hand, their designs are all but ugly. They come with narrow bezels around the display and modern looks, as well as decent build quality. I like the Realme C15 due to its higher screen-to-body ratio, and it even offers the Gorilla Glass protection by Corning for the display. But it is all about tastes: which design would you pick?

Display

Given that the Samsung Galaxy M01s sports a PLS display, we doubt it will reach the level of the Realme C15. The Realme C15 and the Redmi 9C come with IPS panel and they offer a slightly better image quality. They have the same resolution and a similar size, you should only notice marginal differences between their quality. They are below-average IPS panels, do not expect a high definition and a great color accuracy, as the specs on the paper suggest.

Specs & Software

The most powerful hardware department belongs to the Realme C15: it sports the Helio G35 chipset by MediaTek which has pretty good CPU and GPU performance, as well as up to 4 GB of RAM. You get the Helio G35 SoC on the Redmi 9C as well, but it is paired with max 3 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy M01s has a weaker Helio P22 which has no chances to compete with the Helio G35, and it comes with 3 GB of RAM. However, it has a light user interface (called One UI Core and based on Android 9 Pie) which gets its performances better. But with Realme C15 and Redmi 9C, you get Android 10 out of the box.

Camera

Realme C15 has the most complete camera department. It is the only one to pack a quad camera on the rear which includes an ultrawide sensor. The Realme C15 is better than Redmi 9C when it comes to the front camera, thanks to a superior 8 MP sensor. The Samsung Galaxy M01s has the same front camera. If we talk about normal photos, you should get slightly better quality with the Redmi 9C and Samsung Galaxy M01s which have a main sensor with a brighter aperture. Samsung Galaxy M01s lacks both an ultrawide sensor and a macro camera.

Battery

The 6000 mAh battery found on the Realme C15 guarantees a longer battery life simply because it has a higher capacity. It is even the only one to support fast charging (18W). Right after, we got the Redmi 9C with a 5000 mAh battery (but no fast charging). Samsung Galaxy M01s is still a nice battery phone, but it has just 4000 mAh.

Price

Realme C15 is priced less than €120/$140 in its base variant with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, Redmi 9C starts from €90/$105 (2/32 GB), and Samsung Galaxy M01s costs €110/$129. I would personally go for the Realme C15 because of its bigger battery, quad-camera, and good selfie snapper. I would not choose the Samsung Galaxy M01s because it has a smaller battery and an inferior chipset. With its nice main camera, Redmi 9C is a good compromise.

Last month, Realme announced the Realme C11 entry-level smartphone in Malaysia. It was also brought to the markets like Indonesia and India. Today, the Chinese firm unveiled the Realme C15 phone in Indonesia. In terms of specs and price, the smartphone is positioned higher than the Realme C11. Some of the highlights of the Realme C15 are quad rear cameras, a behemoth battery with rapid charging support.

Realme C15 specifications

The Realme C15 has 164.5 x 75.9 x 9.8mm and it weighs 209 grams. The device is fitted with a 20:9 aspect ratio display of 6.5 inches. The HD+ IPS LCD display has a mini-drop notch at the top and it is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The rear-mounted AI-powered quad-camera housing of the Realme C15 has a 13-megapixel main shooter with f/2.2 aperture, a 119-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel black & white lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel retro lens. The quad cameras provide users with features such as Super NightScape, ultra-wide mode, HDR, time-lapse, slow-motion recording, and 30fps 1080p video recording. An f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel camera is available on the front side of the Realme C15.

The Realme C15 draws power from a 6,000mAh battery. The handset supports 18W fast charging through microUSB. The Realme UI based Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the C15.

The Helio G35 chipset that fuels the Realme C11 also powers the Realme C15 with 3 GB / 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The phone comes with 64 GB / 128 GB of storage. It has a dedicated microSD card slot. A fingerprint reader is placed on the polycarbonate rear of the C15. Its other features are dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone slot.

The Realme C15 will be available through the first flash sale on July 29 in Indonesia. It comes in three models such as 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for IDR 1,999,000 (~$138), 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for IDR 2,199,000 (~$151), and 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage for IDR 2,499,000 (~$172). Marine Blue and Seagull Gray are the two color variants of the Realme C15.

Realme will be launching the Realme C15 phone in Indonesia on July 28. The smartphone will be positioned higher than the recently unveiled Realme C11 phone. Realme has already confirmed that the Realme C15 has a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The listing of the phone at Lazada Indonesia revealed its two variants and color editions. A fresh report on Playfuldroid has revealed some other details like the processor and camera configurations of the Realme C15.

According to the publication, the Realme C15 is powered by the Helio G35. The same processor fuels the Realme C11 phone. The C11 features a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera system. The upcoming Realme C15 has four cameras on its back.

The C15’s quad-camera setup is comprised of a main camera of 13-megapixel, a superwide sensor of 8-megapixel, a macro lens of 2-megapixel, and a depth assist sensor of 2-megapixel. It could be featuring a 5-megapixel front camera.

There is no information available about the display of the Realme C15 yet. The official renders of the phone have revealed that it has a waterdrop notch screen. There is a possibility could be sporting the same 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel available on the Realme C11. It is already known that the Realme C15 will be available in two models such as 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. The pricing of these models is not known yet.

The Realme C15 has a rear-positioned fingerprint scanner. The phone will be available in Indonesia in two colors such as Seagull Grey and Marine Bluet. There is no word on the names of the other markets that will be receiving the Realme C15 smartphone.

Realme has scheduled a launch event on July 24 for the unveiling of the Realme 6i in India. This comes just a week after it announced the Realme C11 in the country. Now, it has been revealed that there will be another launch four days later but in Indonesia for a new phone called the Realme C15.

The Realme C15 is the device that was teased last week that packs a 6000mAh battery. It has now been confirmed to launch in Indonesia on July 28 at 1 PM local time. The poster not only confirms the name but also bares it all with respect to how the phone looks.

The Realme C15 is shown to have a waterdrop notch display while the back is home to quad rear cameras housed in a squircle. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and will be available in blue and white with a triple-tone finish. The poster also reveals the phone will have support for 18W fast charging.

The rest of the specs of the phone are still unknown but we believe the full spec sheet will surface before the announcement next week.

The Realme C15 is not the only phone with a 6000mAh battery launching this month. Infinix is launching the Smart 4 Plus tomorrow in India and it packs a 6000mAh battery too.
