Realme has launched the Realme C85 5G in India after introducing it earlier this month in Vietnam. The phone targets users who want a large display, long battery life and strong durability at a budget price.

Realme C85 5G features

The Realme C85 5G comes with a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1200 nits brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and the Mali G57 GPU. It offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 12GB of Dynamic RAM. You also get 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is tuned to keep more than 17 apps active in the background. For sustained workloads, it has a 5300mm² VC cooling system.

On the back, the phone has a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. The front has an 8MP camera that records 1080p video and supports Panorama, Night mode, Screen Fill Light and simple retouch options.

The Realme C85 5G has a 7000mAh battery. Realme claims it can handle up to 12 hours of heavy use and still hold around 50 percent charge. It supports 45W fast charging, which can give a short boost for video or music playback in about 5 minutes. The phone also supports 6.5W reverse charging. Features like 6 Year Battery Health and Bypass Charging are included to maintain long-term battery quality.

The phone has IP69 water resistance and MIL STD 810H shock protection. There is also a speaker cleaning feature that uses sound vibrations to push out water after the phone gets wet.

Connectivity includes several 5G bands, dual-band GPS, Wi Fi Display, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and AI Netpilot, which improves signal performance in weak coverage areas.

Pricing and Availability

The phone is available in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variants priced at ₹15,499 and ₹16,999. With the launch offer, buyers get ₹500 off, making the effective prices ₹14,999 and ₹16,499. It comes in Parrot Purple and Peacock Green. You can buy it from Flipkart, Realme India and major retail stores. The launch offer ends on 1 December 2025.

Realme has officially announced the launch date for its new C-series budget friendly smartphone. The Realme C85 was just spotted in a new teaser, which confirmed its release in the Indian market. So here’s everything you need to know.

Realme C85 Coming to India with a Monster Battery on November 28

The Chinese brand revealed that the Realme C85 model will debut in India on 28th November 2025 at 12PM IST. The Flipkart microsite is already live, showcasing some of its key specs along with the launch date. Looking at the listing, the Realme C85 will be powered by a gigantic 7,000mAh battery pack, which promises to offer up to 22 hours of video streaming, 50 hours of calling, or even 145 hours of music playback on a single full charge.

Realme is claiming that this device can even offer up to 9 hours of standby time or 40 minutes of calling even at 1 percent charge. This budget phone supports 45W wired fast charging, along with 6.5W reverse charging speeds as well. The Realme C85 will arrive with a military grade shock resistance and an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. Other key features revealed on the teaser were a bright 1200 nits AMOLED display on the front, while the rear packs a 50MP Sony main camera that will support AI tools for picture editing.

To recall, the company first unveiled the Realem C85 series in the Vietnamese market earlier this month. It is unclear whether it will be the same exact model, since the standard C85 featured an LCD panel, while the Pro variant came with an AMOLED panel. Realme might have another budget phone on the way to India, and it could be landing sooner than expected. According to a new tip, the Realme C85 (mistakenly referred to as the G85 in the post) is set to launch in India later this month, lining up as a cheaper alternative to the Realme 15x.

The leak comes from @yabhishekhd on X, who claims the phone is already in the pipeline, even though Realme hasn’t officially said anything yet. Based on his post, the C85 will be pretty close to the 15x in terms of overall hardware, just with a step-down camera setup to keep the price in check.

For context, the Realme 15x features a 6.81-inch HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, and a massive 7000mAh battery. It also offers up to 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and runs Android 15 with realme UI 6.0. The phone’s cameras include a 1/2.93″, 50MP main sensor and a 50MP selfie shooter.

The C85, however, has already launched in Vietnam with an 8MP front camera. The X post also mentioned a “downgraded camera,” suggesting that the Indian variant will pack the same cameras as the Vietnamese model.

Users should get nearly the same performance and endurance as the 15x, just without the same camera capabilities. It should help Realme position the C85 as a slightly more affordable alternative to the 15x while still delivering midrange-level speed and battery life.

The same tipster also mentions Redmi’s upcoming launches. The Redmi 15C is expected either later this month or in early December, followed by the Redmi Note 15 series in January 2026. If these timelines are accurate, the next few months could be crowded for budget and mid-range phones as well in India.
