A leak had appeared in September last year that Chinese tech giant Realme was planning to launch a wireless earbuds in India  that would come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Then came the Realme Buds Air Pro equipped with active noise cancellation.  In recent times, we have seen that Realme will soon launch two new earbuds – Realme Buds Q2 and the Buds Air 2. Apparently there is a third model in the works and it will have ANC, if the latest leak is anything to go by.

According to the details contained in a leak by popular tipster Ishan Argawal, the Chinese company is bringing a model with active noise cancellation. The teaser poster shared shows that Realme is teaming up with popular American band The Chainsmokers (EDM duo).The poster is promoted with the caption “Noise off, Realme on”. It is this aption that is fuelling speculations that the earbuds will come with noise cancelling feature and that may not be wrong.

Looks like realme is partnering up with The Chainsmokers for their upcoming TWS Earphones! Interested to see what will happen with them on board.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) uses a noise-cancelling system to reduce unwanted background noise. The system is based on microphones that “listen” to the sounds outside and inside of the earphone, an ANC chipset inverting the soundwaves and a speaker inside the earphone cancelling the outside sound by the neutralising soundwaves. Bringing genuine ANC to earbuds is a challenge due to the in-ear design. .

On a side note, the partnership Realme has struck with The Chainsmokers  is suggestive of a top-end product which may be a successor to the Buds Air Pro. There is no official word on that yet so we can’t reach a conclusion just yet. We await for more details to emerge.

TWS earbuds are the new craze this year and it looks like brands won’t be happy with just one or two earbuds models in the market this year. Realme already has three TWS earbuds to its name but it seems to be working on a new model with an Airpods Pro-like design. The brand has patented three designs: two earbuds cases and one design for earbuds at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The recently patented Realme earbuds design (first spotted by 91Mobiles) is interesting because it seems to be inspired by the Airpods Pro. So it features a similar in-ear design along with a long stem as the Apple earbuds. The other two patents are for the charging cases, one with a round design and another one with a flatter, oval design. Both the patented cases featured an LED indicator, USB-C port for charging, and a button – likely for pairing.

Realme’s current earbuds, the Realme Buds Air and Buds Air Neo feature an open design, but the Realme Buds Q that was launched last week comes with an in-ear design, similar to the Galaxy Buds. So it looks like the company wants to experiment with the in-ear design on a new model in the future.

As always, we would like to add that this is just a patent and it remains to be seen if this design would translate into a real product in the coming months.

Realme has started sending out invites to India media confirming that the Realme XT 730G model and its new TWS earbuds will launch on December 17.

TWS earbuds are the big craze among smartphone makers these days. Earlier today, Realme executives, including India CEO Madhav Sheth, gave us a glimpse of the yellow color model of the Realme earbuds. Other company executives like Francis Wang and Sree Hari have further confirmed that the earbuds will come in at least two more color options including white and black.

The media invite shows that the upcoming Realme earbuds will look like the Apple AirPods with a long-stem design. The invite also reveals that the charging case will be compact with a green charging light. It also confirms that the much-awaited Realme XT 730G variant is launching at the same event.

Given how Realme XT 730G is expected to be a rebranded Realme X2 from China, we can expect the phone to feature a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture primary shooter with an 8-megapixel superwide lens with 119-degree field-of-view and f/2.25 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length and a 2-megapixel portrait lens for adding depth effects to images. The battery on the XT 730G should be the same as the 4000mAh capacity one on the X2.

As for the pricing, the Realme X2 was pretty affordable in China start at 1,599 Yuan (~$224). So expect the India pricing to be slightly higher than this figure.

Given that Realme has started to send out media invites, we can expect official teasers in the coming days.
