<p>Realme started offering four major Android updates to its devices last year, beginning with the Realme GT 7. Some more devices later arrived with this updated software policy, but the overall list is still too short, as Realme hasn’t expanded the new policy beyond the premium segment.</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve curated a list of Realme devices that promise four years of Android OS updates. Take a look at it below:</p>

<ul><li>Realme GT 8 Pro (last update: Android 20)</li><li>Realme GT 8 (last update: Android 20)</li><li>Realme GT 7 (last update: Android 19)</li><li>Realme GT 7T (last update: Android 19)</li></ul>

<p>If your Realme device is on the list, you’re in luck. But millions of Realme users are getting up to three Android OS updates, while brands like Samsung offer up to six on many of their budget phones, and their high-end phones get seven OS updates.</p>

<p>The four Android OS update policy is very welcoming from Realme, but it really shouldn’t be limited to premium phones. Even premium mid-range phones, such as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-16-pro-plus/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme 16 Pro+</a>, which costs up to INR 45,000, only guarantee up to three Android OS updates.</p>

<p>Realme really needs to up its software update policy, as its competitors are doing it aggressively. Take Motorola, for example: the brand isn’t well-reputed for software updates, but it has been greatly improving rollout speed for the last few months. Not just that, the brand now promises up to five major OS updates for many of its mid-range phones, and recently matched Google and Samsung by promising seven years of Android OS support for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/07/motorola-signature-launched/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Motorola Signature</a> smartphone.</p>

<p>Its Chinese rivals, including <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/31/oppo-phones-eligible-for-five-major-android-os-updates/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oppo</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/25/xiaomi-devices-eligible-for-five-major-android-os-updates/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>, are also ahead with up to five major Android OS updates. Additionally, they promise longer updates to newer mid-range phones. So, I guess Realme wouldn’t want its customers to switch to other brands just for this reason, and therefore, we’ll likely see an improved software update policy anytime soon, at least for mid-range phones.</p>

<p>Alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/21/realme-gt8-pro-goes-official-with-a-modular-design-and-ricoh-gr-camera-partnership/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pro model</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme</a> has also unveiled the standard GT8 in China. While it doesn’t feature swappable camera modules like the Pro, Realme is still extending its Ricoh GR camera partnership to the vanilla model.</p>

<p>This includes the same five distinct Ricoh GR film tones, customizable focal lengths (28mm and 40mm), and unique GR-style shutter sounds. The phone’s camera setup includes a 50MP OIS main camera with a Ricoh GR’s 7P high-lens array and five layers of ultra-low-reflection coating. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-711872" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-x-Ricoh-GR-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>This is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The front has a 16MP lens for selfies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The GT8 comes in three shades — Classic White, Navy Blue, and Oxygen Green — each offering a different tactile experience. The White variant features AG frosted glass that resists fingerprints, while the Navy Blue model uses light-shifting frosted glass for a subtle, silky shimmer under light. The Oxygen Green edition stands out with its paper-like recycled leather back.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-711881" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-launch-specs-price-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Under the hood, the GT8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for top-tier speed. It has a dedicated R1 graphics chip that handles gaming performance and a 7000mm² VC cooling to keep thermals in check.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Up front is a 6.79-inch 2K BOE Q10+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 7000 nits of peak brightness. That’s the same screen used on the GT8 Pro.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-711882" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Display-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The GT8 houses a massive 7000mAh battery with 100W charging. Realme claims the “Titan” battery uses 15% silicon content for better longevity. The phone also features IP68, IP69, and IP66 ratings.</p>

<p>Running Android 16 with Realme UI 7, the GT8 also brings Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual stereo speakers, and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.</p>

<h2><strong>Pricing and Avaibility</strong></h2>

<p>The GT8 starts at 2,899 yuan (around $400) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and goes up to 4,099 yuan (around $565) for the 16GB + 1TB variant. Here’s the full pricing lineup in China:</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8">Realme GT 8</a> will be available in three shades, namely Navi, White, and Green. The Navi edition has a refined navy blue tone with frosted glass for a silky, premium touch. The White variant features AG frosted glass that resists fingerprints and offers a smooth, textured feel. The Green option uses eco-friendly, paper-like recycled leather that’s soft, durable, and distinct in texture.</p>

<p>Realme has also confirmed that the Realme GT 8 will feature the same Ricoh GR-grade imaging system as the Pro version. As far as camera specs are concerned, the brand has already confirmed that the device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. It is also likely to support a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/16/realme-gt-8-pro-interchangeable-camera-color-options/">swappable camera module</a>.</p>

<p>On the front, the Realme GT 8 has a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/15/realme-gt-8-key-specifications-confirmed/">2K 144Hz OLED panel</a>, similar to the Pro edition. Under the hood, it features the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon</a> 8 Elite chipset. It will come preloaded with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/19/realme-gt-8-realme-ui-7-glass-design/">Realme UI 7 based on Android 16</a>.</p>

<p>Reports have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/18/realme-gt-8-gt-8-pro-specifications-leaked/">revealed</a> that the Realme GT 8 will feature a 6.78-inch screen and pack a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging. Its rear camera setup will include a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It is expected to ship with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.</p>

So far, the company has only <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/15/realme-gt-8-key-specifications-confirmed/">confirmed a few details</a> about the GT 8 duo. Today, tipster Bald Panda released a Weibo post revealing more details about both smartphones.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8, GT 8 Pro specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="Realme GT 8 Pro colors" class="wp-image-711068" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Realme-GT-8-Pro-colors.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 Pro </figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As per the leak, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8">Realme GT 8</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8-pro">GT 8 Pro</a>l will feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display that supports a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The leak has no information about the front camera of these phones but reveals that the GT 8 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope camera.</p>

<p>On the other hand, the Realme GT 8 Pro’s rear camera setup will have a pair of 50-megapixel sensors for the primary and ultra-wide cameras, along with a 200-megapixel periscope camera, which seems to be backed by the Samsung HP5 sensor. The GT 8 Pro is confirmed to feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/16/realme-gt-8-pro-interchangeable-camera-color-options/">swappable camera deco</a>, but there’s no clarity on whether the GT 8 will also feature the same.</p>

<p>Under the hood, the Realme GT 8 will feature a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging. It will be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> chipset.</p>

<p>The Pro edition will pack the same battery along with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will also support 50W PPS and 44W UFCS charging protocols. Under the hood, it will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a> SoC.</p>

<p>It seems that the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will max out at 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Both phones are also expected to arrive as the company’s first phones with Realme UI 7-based Android 16 onboard.</p>

<p>The Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will be available in shades like white, blue, and green. The GT 8 Pro will measure 8.2mm in thickness and weigh around 209 to 214 grams, depending on the colour variant.</p>

<p>The Realme GT 8 will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/24/realme-gt-8-pro-display-battery-periscope-camera-officailly-confirmed/">same 2K resolution 144Hz OLED screen as the GT 8 Pro</a>. It supports global peak brightness of 2000 nits and introduces Realme’s 4000-nit sunlight display technology, allowing up to 20 percent of the panel to reach this brightness level for outdoor visibility. The display also integrates Realme’s new tactile control chip with an instant sampling rate of 3200Hz and 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling, enhancing responsiveness during gaming sessions.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-768x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme GT 8 series display" class="wp-image-708757" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-1068x1423.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-display.jpg 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 series display</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the performance side, the phone will run on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> chipset, paired with a dedicated display processor. Early benchmarks shared by DCS show an impressive AnTuTu score of 3,322,942.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="705" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-705x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme GT 8 AnTuTu listing" class="wp-image-708756" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-705x1024.jpg 705w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-207x300.jpg 207w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-768x1115.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-1058x1536.jpg 1058w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-696x1010.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-1068x1551.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU-289x420.jpg 289w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GT-8-AnTuTU.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 705px) 100vw, 705px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 AnTuTu listing</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Externally, the GT 8 is said to adopt a refined design with a frosted metal frame, glass back panel, and rounded R-angle corners. It is also tipped to support 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition for improved security. Other reports have revealed that it <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/08/realme-gt-8-key-specifications-tipped/">may pack a 7,000mAh battery</a>, and the series will debut with Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16.</p>

<p>The Realme GT 8 Pro is already confirmed to launch as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/26/realme-gt-8-pro-india-first-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-5-phone/">India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phone</a>. However, it is unclear whether the GT 8 will be released in markets outside of China.</p>

<p>A recent leak by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station carried a hint about the Realme GT 8 Pro’s camera module design. The same leak also revealed that <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> will collaborate with popular camera brand Ricoh for an enhanced photography experience on the GT 8 Pro. Now, a <a href="https://weibo.com/6734482564/Q3Ce0lrBY">leaked image</a> of what appears to be the GT 8 Pro’s camera module has surfaced on Weibo. At the same time, a newer leak by DCS has revealed the chipset that powers the GT 8 along with the key specifications of the GT 8 Pro.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8 Pro camera module design</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="610" height="555" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GTT-8-Pro-camera-module-live-shot.jpg?x44794" alt="Alleged Realme GT 8 Pro camera module live shot" class="wp-image-705946" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GTT-8-Pro-camera-module-live-shot.jpg 610w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GTT-8-Pro-camera-module-live-shot-300x273.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Realme-GTT-8-Pro-camera-module-live-shot-462x420.jpg 462w" sizes="(max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px" /><figcaption>Alleged Realme GT 8 Pro camera module live shot</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As can be seen, the alleged <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8-pro">Realme GT 8 Pro</a> is enclosed in a protective case. The camera module features a triple-lens setup with two large circular sensors on top and a square periscope lens below, accompanied by an LED flash on the side, all housed within a rectangular island.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="985" height="249" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-73.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705943" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-73.png 985w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-73-300x76.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-73-768x194.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-73-696x176.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 985px) 100vw, 985px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 Pro leaked specs</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to reports, its camera setup will include a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. In today’s leak, DCS revealed that the device is equipped with a 6.78-inch flat OLED 2K panel integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 1115E dual master-level dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor (probably 1016-level), and an IP68/69-rated body.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8 chipset revealed</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="940" height="87" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-74.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705944" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-74.png 940w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-74-300x28.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-74-768x71.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-74-696x64.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite </figcaption></figure>

<p>In the comments section of the same Weibo post, DCS revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8">Realme GT 8</a> is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. He added that the configuration of the GT 8 is not <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/08/realme-gt-8-key-specifications-tipped/">photography-focused like the Pro variant</a>.</p>

<p>Previous reports have revealed that it will have a smaller 6.6-inch screen and is expected to pack a battery of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-display-battery-leak/">around 7,000mAh capacity</a>. The other details of this device are under wraps.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> is expected to unveil the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro flagship phones in October in China. Tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/09/08/realme-gt-8-pro-camera-specifications-ricoh-collab/"> key specifications of the GT 8 Pro</a>. In the comments section of the same Weibo post, the tipster shared key details about the standard GT 8.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8 key details tipped</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-71.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-705774" width="822" height="108" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-71.png 830w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-71-300x39.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-71-768x101.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/image-71-696x91.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 822px) 100vw, 822px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 key details tipped</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>According to DCS, the standard version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8">Realme GT 8</a> will focus primarily on the display, battery, and overall performance. He added that its imaging capabilities will be relatively average compared to the Pro variant. As per other reports, the GT 8 could be equipped with the <a href="https://www.gimzochina.com/tag/snadpragon-8-elite-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5</a>, which is also expected to power the GT 8 Pro.</p>

<p>He added that in the second half of the year, Realme has adjusted its strategy by dropping the idea of bringing periscope cameras to the regular GT 8 model. Instead, the company is concentrating on equipping the GT 8 Pro with high-end camera hardware and advanced imaging features.</p>

<p>Previous reports have revealed that the Realme GT 8 may feature a 6.6-inch flat display and is likely to be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-display-battery-leak/">a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity</a>.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8-pro">Realme GT 8 Pro</a> reports have revealed that it will feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel primary camera. Under the hood, the device will have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and a huge battery. Furthermore, it is expected to feature a flat 6.78-inch BOE-supplied 2K display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>Like major Chinese smartphone brands, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> is gearing up to launch new flagship phones in October in China. It is speculated that the brand may unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-series-confirmed-to-launch-in-october/">Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro</a> in the said month. In a new development, a new Realme device has surfaced in the database of China’s radio certification platform. This device is believed to be the standard Realme GT 8.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme RMX6699 radio certified</strong></h3>

<p></p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="780" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-780x1024.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme GT 8 radio certified" class="wp-image-703413" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-780x1024.jpg 780w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-229x300.jpg 229w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-768x1008.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-1170x1536.jpg 1170w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-696x914.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-1068x1402.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified-320x420.jpg 320w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-radio-certified.jpg 1234w" sizes="(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 radio certified</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As can be seen above, a Realme smartphone with the RMX6699 model number has been approved by China’s radio certification platform. As usual, the listing has not revealed anything significant about the device, but it hints that the launch is drawing near. According to Chinese tech blogger WHY LAB, this device is the forthcoming Realme GT 8.</p>

<p>Rumours surrounding the Realme GT 8 have revealed that it will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-display-battery-leak/">a 6.6-inch flat OLED panel</a>, and it will pack a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. Under the hood, the device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8 Pro key specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-146.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-703412" width="960" height="219" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-146.png 928w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-146-300x68.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-146-768x175.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-146-696x158.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 Pro leak by DCS</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>As can be seen, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the key specifications of the Realme GT 8 Pro, which corroborates what he shared through <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/09/realme-gt-8-pro-2k-display-200mp-periscope-ultrasonic-fingerprint/">multiple Weibo posts in the recent past</a>.</p>

<p>The leak reveals that the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a 2K OLED display, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, dual symmetrical speakers for enhanced audio output, a larger X-axis linear motor, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. While he did not mention the chipset, the GT 8 Pro is expected to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-2">Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a>.</p>

<p>Next month (September), MediaTek and Qualcomm are expected to unveil their next-generation flagship chipsets, namely the Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Several reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 16 series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, will debut by the end of September in China. It is also speculated that the Vivo X300 series featuring the Dimensity 9500 may also debut in the same month. In October, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oppo">Oppo</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/oneplus">OnePlus</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> will announce their flagship offerings in China. A new Weibo post, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, reveals the sequence of the Ouga Group phones that will debut in October.</p>

<h3><strong>Flagship phones debuting in October</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-71.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-701569" width="963" height="259" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-71.png 963w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-71-300x81.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-71-768x207.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-71-696x187.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 963px) 100vw, 963px" /><figcaption>Flagship phones debuting in October in China</figcaption></figure>

<p>According to the tipster, the Ouga Group will unveil ColorOS 16 in September, followed by the announcement of new phones running on this system in October. In October, Oppo will take the covers off the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, whereas OnePlus will unveil the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/22/oneplus-15-ace-6-launch-together-redmi-k90-rival/">OnePlus 15 and Ace 6</a>.</p>

<p>While the Find X9 lineup will feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9500">Dimensity 9500 SoC</a>, the OnePlus 15 will have the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 onboard. The OnePlus Ace is also expected to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/oneplus-ace-6-ace-6-pro-specs-leak/">a Snapdragon 8-series chip</a>, but it is unclear whether it will use the existing <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite">Snapdragon 8 Elite</a> or the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-gen-5">Snapdragon 8 Gen 5</a>.</p>

<p>This leak seemingly puts an end to claims that a third device named the Find X9 Plus will also be a part of the lineup. Also, this time there will be no OnePlus Ace 6 Pro launching alongside the Ace 6. It remains to be seen whether the company will launch the Ace 6 Pro in Q1 2026. Globally, the OnePlus Ace 6 may get rebranded as the OnePlus 15R.</p>

<p>The tipster further revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-series-confirmed-to-launch-in-october/">Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro</a> will also debut in October in China. These devices are expected to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-2">Snapdragon 8 Elite 2</a> SoC.</p>

<p>While it is not mentioned in this leak, the Redmi K90 series, iQOO 15, and flagship phones by ZTE/Nubia are also expected to debut in October.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> has already confirmed that the Realme GT 8 series will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/08/10/realme-gt-8-series-confirmed-to-launch-in-october/">announced in October in China</a>. The lineup will include two devices, the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro. So far, the leaks have mainly focused on the Pro edition, but now a new leak that has surfaced on Weibo reveals that the Realme GT 8 will be a smaller device compared to the Pro edition. The leak has tipped the display and battery capacity of the standard model.</p>

<h3><strong>Realme GT 8 display, battery size leak</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-39.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-700962" width="736" height="169" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-39.png 836w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-39-300x69.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-39-768x176.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/image-39-696x160.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 8 display leak</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Reports have suggested that the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/23/realme-gt-8-pro-could-pack-anti-glare-display-tech-seen-on-galaxy-s25-ultra/">a 6.85-inch 2K OLED panel</a>. As far as the standard model is concerned, the above leak suggests that it will be a smaller device, as it will pack a 6.6-inch screen with a flat design.</p>

<p>Despite packing a comparatively smaller display, the Realme GT 8 may pack a battery of around 7,000mAh, suggests the new leak. The tipster did not reveal anything else about the device. Rumours suggest that the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will both feature the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.</p>

<p>The GT 8 series is also expected to arrive with design improvements compared to the previous generation. One of the major highlights of the GT 8 duo is that it will run on the next-generation Realme UI 7-based Android 16.</p>

<p>According to reports, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-8-pro/">Realme GT 8 Pro’s</a> rear camera setup is expected to feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/09/realme-gt-8-pro-2k-display-200mp-periscope-ultrasonic-fingerprint/">a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera</a>. It is also said to be equipped with an improved motor, dual speakers, a metal middle frame, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.</p>

<p>It is also being said that the Realme GT 8 Pro will be costlier than its predecessor. While the GT 7 Pro was priced at 3,599 Yuan (~$500) at launch, there is a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/02/realme-gt-8-pro-premium-price-hike-expected/">possibility</a> that the GT 8 Pro may arrive with a 3,999 Yuan (~$555) starting price.</p>

<p>The next wave of Android flagships is expected to roll out starting in September, and Xiaomi might be the first to launch. </p>

While that remains unconfirmed, we now have official word on another major release. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="624" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-series-launch.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-700888" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-series-launch.jpg 624w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-series-launch-300x288.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Realme-GT-8-series-launch-437x420.jpg 437w" sizes="(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px" /></figure></div>

<p>This week, Realme Vice President Wang Wei confirmed that the GT 8 series will launch in October. Earlier, Wang teased that the new lineup would feature a completely redesigned look and “will definitely have surprises.”</p>

<p>Those surprises might come in the form of hardware that puts Realme right next to the biggest names in Android. Both the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are expected to run on Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850).</p>

<h2><strong>What to expect?</strong></h2>

<p>The GT 8 Pro is rumored to feature a flat 6.85-inch 2K OLED display from Samsung, complete with an AR anti-glare coating similar to what’s on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Under the hood, there could be a massive 7,000mAh+ battery paired with 100W fast charging. Realme is also reportedly using a metal middle frame to keep things sturdy.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="609" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-1024x609.webp?x44794" alt="Realme GT 7 Pro" class="wp-image-678119" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-1024x609.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-300x179.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-768x457.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-1536x914.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-696x414.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-1068x635.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-1920x1142.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3-706x420.webp 706w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Realme-GT-7-Pro-3.webp 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Realme GT 7 Pro</figcaption></figure>

<p>On the camera side, the standout upgrade might be a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, possibly Samsung’s HP9. That’s the same camera hardware rumored for Oppo’s upcoming Find X9 Pro.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For security and durability, it will reportedly feature a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a metal frame.</p>

<p>There’s no word on pricing yet. The Realme GT 7 Pro launched at a starting price of 3,599 Yuan ($500). So its successor could land in a similar range, if not a bit higher.</p>
