Realme recently unveiled the Realme GT 5G smartphone packing some top-notch specifications. The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 888 chipset, 6.43-inch S-Amoled, 4500 mAh battery, and Realme UI 2.0. The smartphone is currently available across selective countries for the price of EUR 449. Surprisingly, the Giztop is offering the Realme GT 5G smartphone for $399 along with international shipping.

It is a massive discount despite being a new entrant in the market. Giztop is offering around $50 discount on the smartphone. The interested buyers can choose between Yellow, Blue, and Silver colors. It is available in two storage options of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

Realme GT 5G ships with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC carrying an inbuilt octa-core processor and highly performing Adreno 660 GPU. Earlier today (10th June 2021), Realme officially announced that its latest GT Neo model of smartphone cross 500,000 units in sales. The device was first made available for sale back in April 2021.

The smartphone maker made the announcement on its official Weibo account, a Chinese microblogging website. For those unaware, the smartphone was launched on March 31, with its first sale beginning in April. Notably, the first sale of the Realme GT Neo had the device cross the 100 million Yuan mark (15 million US Dollars) in just 10 seconds of its release. In other words, the handset clearly saw great success in the brand’s home market.

Talking about the device itself, the GT Neo sports a 6.43 inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and an under screen fingerprint scanner. On the front, it offers a screen to body ratio of 91.7 percent. It has a 16 megapixel punch hole selfie shooter while the rear camera module offers a Sony IMX682 64 megapixel main snapper, a 119 degree 8 megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2 megapixel macro sensor with a 4cm focal length.

Notably, this smartphone was the first to offer a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, which is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device is powered by a large 4,500mAh battery pack that supports up to 50W fast charging as well, and runs the latest Android 11 OS based Realme UI 2.0. Lastly, the pricing starts from 1,799 Yuan or roughly about 275 US Dollars and is available in multiple color variants, including black, silver, and aurora.

realme seems to be following a split-design on its smartphones these days. Yesterday, we saw an example with the realme 8 series, and today, the first look of realme GT Neo Final Fantasy color gives the same vibes.

Today(March 25), about a week before the official launch, realme took to Weibo to show us the first look at the realme GT Neo. The device’s color is called Final Fantasy. The company says that it has used the micron-level process to obtain the matte textures on the back.

Along the camera layout vertically, a soft glossy coating runs till the end of the device. Another image with more design elements has been revealed by realme China’s President Xu Qi. He says that the company has drawn inspiration from the cyberpunk elements to obtain the design.

The image shared by him shows the Triple-camera layout with 64MP main lens, realme and DARE TO LEAP logo on the glossy area of the back, Power button on the right, Volume buttons on the left, and 3.5mm audio jack, Type-C port, microphone, and Speaker at the bottom. You can look at the video below:

The realme GT Neo has already been confirmed to debut with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. We can also expect things like a 120Hz AMOLED display, 6/8GB LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, battery & charging tech similar to realme GT, and run Android 11 OS out of the box.

The device has reportedly been certified by India’s BIS  and the realme India CEO has already teased a smartphone with Dimensity 1200 chipset. So, we can expect the flagship to extend borders outside China.

Rumors have it that the realme GT 5G will retail for a starting price of around ¥2000($305). If this is true, then the device would be ¥800 cheaper than realme GT. Either way, let’s wait for the official word on it.
