The phones come with different protections for the displays: Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star 2 and Gorilla Glass 5, respectively. It is a 6.7-inch panel with the AMOLED technology able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness up to 1,000 nits, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader and a punch hole placed centrally. So you should not notice important differences in terms of image quality. We are not talking about the best display out there, but it is definitely a great panel showing realistic colors with great smoothness. Given that they have exactly the same panel, you should focus on the other specifications while comparing these two devices.

The Realme GT Neo 3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 mobile platform: an octa-core chipset built at 5 nm including Cortex-A78 CPUs running at a max frequency of 2.85 GHz and a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The OPPO Reno8 Pro Plus is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max mobile platform: what does it change between these two chipsets? Not much: the Max variant of the SoC comes with better AI performance, but for the rest, it is pretty much the same. The Realme GT Neo 3 and the OPPO Reno8 Pro Plus are equipped with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. When it comes to the performance, it is almost a draw. Both the handsets run Android 12 out of the box, customized by Realme UI 3.0. The Realme GT Neo 3 will get three years of Android updates and four years of security patches, as confirmed by Realme.

Camera

The rear camera departments of these two phones are exactly the same: they feature a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS and an f/1.9 focal aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. Further, the Realme GT Neo3 has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage, while the Reno 8 Pro has LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. Both the phones run Android 12 customized by similar user interfaces: ColorOS 12.1 and Realme UI 3.0.

Xiaomi came up with the Redmi K50 series including the vanilla Redmi K50, Realme recently announced the Realme GT Neo3, and OnePlus launched the OnePlus 10R which is the global version of the OnePlus Ace. The screen has a centered punch-hole for the front camera and houses an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The official starting price of the device is Rs. 36,999, which is in the higher range than what the fans expected. However, you can get the device for as low as Rs. 29,999. Let’s see how.

The Realme GT Neo 3 with 80W charging is priced at Rs. 36,999/Rs. 38,999 for the 8GB +128GB and 8GB + 256GB options, respectively. The GT Neo3 with 150W charging is priced at Rs. 42,999 for the lone 12GB + 256GB option.

But, if you own an SBI bank Debit or Credit card then you get flat Rs. 7,000 instant discount. So the phone can be bought for a starting price of Rs. 29,999. It has a triple camera system at the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens with a 4cm focal length. We are not talking about a flagship-class display, but it is definitely a high-end panel providing great image quality and a very smooth user experience. For the first time on OnePlus and Realme phones, the punch hole is placed in the middle of the flat panel.

Specs & Software

The OnePlus Ace is a superior phone in terms of hardware because it has a slightly better chipset: the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max built with a 5 nm production process and running at a max frequency of 2.85 GHz. The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max has the same CPU and GPU performance as the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 found on the Realme GT Neo3, but the AI performance is improved. Further, the OnePlus Ace comes in a memory configuration providing a higher amount of internal storage: up to 512 GB. On the other hand, the GT Neo3 has a more affordable variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage, while the Ace starts with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The operating system is Android 12 on both phones, customized by ColorOS 12.1 and Realme UI 3.0, respectively. Note that the ColorOS 12.1 has a few more features than Realme UI 3.0, but they are almost the same user interface as the Realme UI is based on ColorOS.

Camera

Even the camera department is exactly the same. On the rear side, you get a triple camera with a Sony IMX766 main sensor sporting a 50 MP resolution and OIS, as well as an f/1.9 focal aperture. The Sony IMX766 is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. The phones are able to record 4K videos at 60 fps. Inside the punch hole, there is a 16 MP selfie snapper with an f/2.5 focal aperture.

Battery

The Realme GT Neo3 and the OnePlus Ace come with the same 4500 mAh battery and 150W fast charging, but there is an additional variant of the former with a 5000 mAh battery and 80W fast charging.

Price

The Realme GT Neo3 starts from €328/$355 in China, while you need at least €360/$389 for the OnePlus Ace. Overall, the Ace is a slightly better phone due to its Dimensity 8100 Max chipset and ColorOS 12.1, but a lot of people would prefer the 5000 mAh version of the GT Neo3 in order to get longer battery life.

Last month, the Realme GT Neo3 was launched in China carrying the world’s first 150W fast charging capability. The device was recently teased for the Indian market, and now, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed the Indian launch date of the device.

In the recent episode of AskMadhav, the CEO revealed that the device will debut in India on April 29th. Madhav also confirmed that the Indian variant of the device will also feature the super fast 150W charging solution. Other than that, Madhav has also revealed that the Realme Pad 5G is in the works, and the company will reveal more details about it soon. This is the first time we’re hearing about a 5G variant of the Realme Pad, so we do not have any details on it as of yet.

The Realme GT Neo3 has already launched in China so we already know all its specs and features. The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 94.2% screen-to-body ratio and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

Realme Vice President, Mr. Madhav Sheth, tweeted a short video of the Realme GT Neo3 confirming that the device will be launching soon in India. The video also confirms that the device will feature the 150W fast charging capacity which was introduced in the Chinese variant of the device.

Last month, tipster Mukul Sharma claimed that the Realme GT Neo3 will be launched in April in the Indian market. However, there is also a chance that the device might debut on June 4, which is the fourth anniversary of Realme.

When you see the title, you know exactly what we are going to do in this article. Yes, we are pitting the Redmi K50 vs realme GT Neo3, which is your most expected comparison this week. This article can also be used as a review for the realme GT Neo3, as we will be comparing every aspect of the two phones.

I believe that after reading this article, you will not be confused as to which phone to buy.

realme GT Neo3 vs Redmi K50: Design & Display

I don’t think anyone would buy either of them because of their design. They both look equally bad to my eyes. If the Redmi K50 just has an ugly-looking camera module, then the Neo3 is just too boring with its realme style back cover. Except for the color, they both look similar. The purple Neo3 we have is the main color recommended by realme. But I prefer the other two colorways because highly saturated colors get tiresome quickly.

Although Neo3 does not have an IR emitter, it is 13g lighter than K50. The under-screen fingerprint is also located further down and is a little slower than the K50’s side fingerprint. It’s really hard to say which phone is better in terms of design and functionality because everyone is at a similar level at this price point.

The Neo3’s screen is a flexible OLED screen from a Chinese manufacturer with a FHD+ resolution. If we only look at the specs on paper, the Neo3’s screen seems poor. Actually, it’s not. During our experience, it performed better than expected. The color accuracy is great, and the brightness is high. And there is 120Hz DC dimming, the K50’s DC dimming is still 60Hz for now. The Neo3’s disadvantage is its resolution.

The K50’s WQHD+ screen is so good that the pixel density is twice as high as the Neo3’s under the same microscope screen. If you have very good eyesight, you can see the difference in clarity between them. So if you like to read text or watch 4K movies, you better choose the K50.

realme GT Neo3 vs Redmi K50: Performance, Benchmark & Gaming

Both phones are Dimensity 8100 processors, so from the Benchmark Test score performance, both CPU part and GPU part, Neo3 and K50 scores are almost the same.

Neo3 performance in the 3DMark stress test is also not much different from K50. But the tuning strategy of the two phones for games is very different.

In Genshin Impact, Neo3 has a focus on keeping the frame rate as high as possible at 60 fps, while the K50 has a focus on keeping the frame rate stable. So when playing on the Neo3, although the frame rate seems high, it is noticeable that sometimes the frame rate suddenly drops. The power consumption is almost 1w higher than the K50, and the temperature is a bit higher on the Neo3.

And both phones performed similarly in Brightridge. The average frame rate looks a little better on the GT Neo3, but the fluctuating frame rate makes the gaming experience not so good. After the PUBG China version update, K50 and Neo3 are now able to turn on HD Graphics and 60fps. However, the global version still only runs at HD Graphics 30fps.

Here’s the good news, Neo3 can use the frame interpolation chip to make the game frame rate higher and more stable, with lower power consumption. The bad news is that this feature can only be used in twenty games, and most of them are Chinese games. This feature will also increase your control latency, and I don’t recommend it for competitive games. So in short, if you play mainly Genshin, choose Neo3. Otherwise, you’d better choose K50.

realme GT Neo3 vs Redmi K50: Cameras

The Neo3’s main camera is IMX766, a flagship level main camera. Compared to the K50’s IMX 582 it is just too far behind. Some people like more realistic colors, others like more eye-pleasing colors. Color preferences differ from person to person, so I won’t judge. But the Neo3’s dynamic range performance is superb, making its photos look much better than the K50. Especially at night, Neo3 is much better than the K50.

Even when the shooting environment is even darker, with almost no light, the Neo3 can at least see what is being shot. The difference in the photo interface is even more significant, I can’t believe these two phones are at the same price point. The only advantage of the K50’s main camera is that when the light is good, the sharpness will be a little higher than the Neo3. But compared to the Neo3’s huge dynamic range advantage, the difference in sharpness is negligible. Since it is a new phone, Neo3 also inevitably has some problems. Backlighting scenes in the center of the photo of the purple-fringing issue are very serious.

The Neo3’s ultra-wide camera still performs better, and it still has the advantage of a better dynamic range. The noise and sharpness of night shots in auto mode are better than the K50. But the dynamic range algorithm, that exceeds the limits of the sensor in night mode, makes the edges of the photo turn red, which makes it like a scene from a horror movie.

The macro camera is probably the only lens where the K50 can beat the Neo3. The K50 focuses closer than the Neo3 and has better clarity. And the Neo3’s photos will have Barrel Distortion. You can see the monitor’s border turn into a curve.

I was happy when I saw that Neo3’s main camera supports 4k 60fps recording. But when I pressed the record button, I calmed down. Not only is it 4k 60fps, but the Neo3 doesn’t even have 4k 30fps EIS. Compared to the K50, the footage is very stable, and the dynamic range is better with the K50. And sometimes the Neo3’s light metering system seems to be a little problematic. Neo3’s video shooting is even worse with its ultra-wide camera. Although the dynamic range is a little better, the sharpening effect is too heavy, resulting in very unrealistic shots. The purple-fringing issue in the upper right corner is also much worse.

So if you like recording, I would definitely recommend you to buy K50.

realme GT Neo3 vs Redmi K50: Battery & Charging

In our unboxing video, we tested the charging speed of the Neo3 150w version. Its very fast. If you plot it as a line graph, this is what it looks like.

The charging speed is much faster than the K50, but the strength of the K50 is its long battery life. This time we are going to do a battery life drain test. We simulated each scene of the user’s daily use, adding video calls and video recordings, and other scenes that are close to daily use. Then we watched online videos until the battery ran out. We did not turn on any performance mode, Connect to Wi-Fi, and we only chose medium Graphics for the game. We created a graph of the results because of time constraints.

We can see that this session is definitely won by the K50 with a larger battery. But the Neo3 also did well, just short of the K50 by half an hour. That’s better performance than many other 5000mAh Snapdragon 8Gen1 phones.

Let’s make a table of the front winning results, you can clearly see their strengths and weaknesses. These two brands have a very tacit understanding, and the K50 and Neo3 simply complement each other’s strengths.

Although they are about the same price, the target audience is completely different. If you like a better screen or are more concerned about long battery life, choose the K50. If you like superfast charging and taking pictures, choose Neo3. But if you still don’t know which one to choose, I suggest you choose the brand you like. Because both are good phones, and you can’t go wrong with either.

While Realme has scheduled to launch the Realme GT2 Pro on April 7 in the Indian market, we may also see the Realme GT Neo3 in the country. The tipster Mukul Sharma(via Onsitego) has now revealed the launch timeline, colors, and configurations of the GT Neo3 for India.

According to the tipster, the Realme GT Neo3 will be launched in April in the Indian market. However, the exact launch date is still under wraps. The smartphone is tipped to come in multiple configurations such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The smartphone is said to come in three colors – Asphalt Black, Spring White, and Nitro Blue. The pricing of the phone is yet to be known.

Realme is set to launch the Realme GT Neo 3 officially in China on March 22nd, 2 days away from today. That’s why Chase also mentioned that Realme has developed a brand new advanced imaging algorithm for the Realme GT Neo 3 that focuses 94% faster than its predecessor, the Realme GT Neo2 and allows for shutter speeds that are also 62% faster. The executive also exclaims that the device will sport better a night mode, to make it an all-scene photographing device no matter day or night.

Despite being an upper mid-range offering from Realme, the Realme GT Neo 3 pulls no punches compared to its flagship siblings. Besides its camera, the Realme GT Neo 3 was also revealed to be the first-ever smartphone in the industry to be equipped with 150W wired charging for consumers. Realme claims that the new charging technology allows for the device to charge from 0% to 50% within 5 minutes! 

Another highlight of the Realme GT Neo 3 includes its MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor in which early benchmarks reveal that the chip’s performance also surpasses that of Qualcomm’s highest-end chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Realme has scheduled to launch the GT Neo3 smartphone on March 22 in the Chinese market. Ahead of its launch, the company has been teasing some of the phone’s key details. Just like that, Realme has now shared the display details of the Realme GT Neo3.

According to Realme, the GT Neo3’s display costs much more than the predecessor GT Neo2’s screen. The GT Neo3’s display brings major improvements like an ultra-narrow bezel display and improved colors. The smartphone’s display has a 2.37mm ultra-narrow chin and 1.48mm super-thin bezels.

The screen is claimed to have a screen-to-body ratio of 94.2%, which is a huge improvement over the 85.7% screen-to-body ratio of the predecessor’s screen. Furthermore, it has a flexible straight screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1000Hz “Gaming Control Engine”.

The display has 1.07 billion colors and supports HDR10+ certification.  Moreover, the screen supports DC dimming and also has chip-by-chip calibration. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

It appears the Realme GT Neo3 brings a lot to its specs sheet. Previous teasers have confirmed that the smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. It will be a punch-hole panel.

The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC and have an independent display chip. Both combined are expected to offer great performance. The smartphone will also bring LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Within a year, realme will be debuting the third-gen realme GT NEO series model on March 22 in China. Officially called the realme GT NEO3, the handset will be marketed as a ‘fashionable gaming smartphone’. The conference will kickstart at 2 PM CST and can be live-streamed on Weibo and other Chinese video platforms.

The phone will sport a race car-inspired rear design with a triangular camera module. Its front will be occupied by a centered punch-hole display. One of its main highlights will be support for 150W fast charging.

It is expected to arrive with a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 50MP (wide, IMX766) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) triple camera system, 16MP front-facing camera, realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12, and 4,5000mAh battery.

realme narzo 50A Prime

The realme narzo 50A Prime will be officially unveiled on March 22 in Indonesia.  It will be announced alongside the realme narzo 50 and realme GT2 Pro in the country. The event will be live-streamed on the brand’s official YouTube channel from 2 PM WIB.

The handset will have a flat frame with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and its 50MP triple camera module will be similar to the recently launched realme-branded phones. It will flaunt a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a dewdrop notch and will be powered by a UNISOC T612 SoC.

The device will measure 8.1mm in thickness and house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Finally, it will boot realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11

OPPO K10

OPPO will take wraps off the OPPO K10 in India on March 23. The live stream for the event will begin at 12 PM IST. The handset will be sold via the brand’s official website and Flipkart from March 29.

The company has officially revealed some of its features. It will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, a 50MP triple camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, a dedicated MicroSD card slot, and OPPO K Series Glow Design comprising of a dual-tone (matte, glossy) finish.

Nothing

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s consumer tech startup Nothing has scheduled a conference called ‘Nothing (event): The Truth’  for March 23. It will be live-streamed on the company’s official YouTube channel from 2 PM GMT.

The company is expected to announce its first smartphone at this event. The handset could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

Since this is all the information we have, it is probably the most anticipated tech event in a long time.

After revealing the rear of the realme GT NEO 3 with a couple of hands-on images, realme has now also shown off its front, again with a real-life image. The upper-mid-range, performance-oriented phone is all set for a March 22nd launch.

The image posted by Xu Qi, president of realme China, shows that the realme GT NEO 3 will have a tiny center-aligned punch-hole for the selfie camera on the front. The front is occupied nearly completely by the display, which is surrounded by very slim bezels, although there’s a slight chin at the bottom.

The executive earlier today posted that the realme GT NEO 3 packs a very sophisticated thermal solution called “Diamond Ice Core Cooling System Max” with a total heat dissipation area of 39606mm² and VC heat dissipation area of 4129mm².

From this, it’s fair to assume that the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip under the hood will remain cool even during long gaming sessions. It has also been confirmed that the phone will pack an independent display chip for better performance and lower power consumption.

Last but not least, the realme GT NEO 3 will be the world’s first phone to support 150W light-speed charging, which has been claimed to fill up its battery from 0% to 50% in just 5 minutes.

Realme has been teasing some of the key features of the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 flagship smartphone ahead of the phone’s official launch in its home market China next week on 22nd March.

In the latest teaser poster shared by Xu Qi, Vice President of Realme, President of Realme China, and President of Marketing for the company, it has been confirmed that the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.

The Dimensity 8100 processor will be coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. Along with that, it has also been confirmed that the smartphone will pack an independent display chip for better performance and lower power consumption.

Based on the information available so far, the Realme GT Neo3 smartphone will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution and a punch-hole cutout for housing the front-facing camera.

The phone will have a triple-camera setup on the back panel that will consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front side, the device will have a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

It will be running the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own Realme UI on top. The phone will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and is touted to be the world’s first to come with 150W light-speed fast charging technology. Realme says that the device goes from 0% to 50% in just 5 minutes.

After several leaks, we finally got a release date for the upcoming Realme GT Neo3. The smartphone is set for a release on March 22 in China and we are expected to see the phone bring an array of improvements over the predecessor. Now, Realme has teased about another improvement in the phone, and that’s the fast charging technology. Additionally, the company also claims that the GT Neo3 has gone through different safety tests.

Realme has shared new teaser posters of the GT Neo3. We learn that the smartphone has a dual-cell battery. The company reveals that the phone packs a 4,500mAh cell and it can be charged quickly with the help of the new 150W charging solution. As per Realme, the device goes from 0% to 50% in just 5 minutes. That being said, the phone won’t take more than 15 – 20 minutes to get fully juiced up.

Furthermore, Realme has confirmed that the GT Neo3 has gone through 41 TUV Rheinland tests ensuring that that super-fast 150W fast charging solution is safe for users. Realme reveals that the phone also houses a cooling system inside that helps in dissipating heat, in case there’s unusual heating.

That’s pretty much what we get to see in the new teasers. Since the launch is scheduled for next week, we expect to see more such teasers revealing the phone’s specs. Speaking of specs, the phone’s details have been given out by the past leaks.

The Realme GT Neo3 is expected to come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to have an under-display fingerprint scanner offering added security. Realme is gearing up to launch its new premium smartphone in its home market China, dubbed as Realme GT Neo3. As the name indicates, the phone is a successor to the Realme GT Neo2 launched last year.

Ahead of the official launch of the Realme GT Neo3 smartphone later this month, the company has shared the official render of the device, showcasing the back panel of the upcoming flagship smartphone from the brand.

The image shared by the company showcases the Realme GT Neo3 smartphone in Blue color with a dual-stripe design. The white-colored strips run from the camera module to the bottom of the phone and also has the company’s branding and the tagline.

The rectangular-shaped camera module is placed in the top-left corner. There are three camera sensors which are arranged in a triangular pattern with a bigger sensor in the top-center position and two smaller sensors placed below it side-by-side. There’s also an LED flash placed between the top and bottom camera sensors inside the camera module.

The volume rocker keys are placed on the left side of the smartphone while the bottom edge has a USB Type-C port and speaker grille. The image shared by Realme only shows the back panel of the phone and not the front side.

Based on the leaks and reports so far, the Realme GT Neo3 will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

The Realme GT Neo3 is expected to debut this month. So far, we have learned plenty of its details and have also seen its design through renders. Now, the GT Neo3 has appeared in hands-on images on Weibo.

The hands-on images show the back profile of the smartphone. The smartphone’s design is in-line with what we saw in the leaked renders. The device comes with a plan back and has the camera module at the top left. The camera island holds three camera lenses, with the primary lens at the top and two other sensors below it. The LED flash is sandwiched between the sensors.

Apart from this, the GT Neo3’s specs were leaked previously. The Realme GT Neo3 will come with the new Dimensity 8100 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 and  256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Earlier this week, some key specifications of the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 surfaced online along with the confirmation that it will debut in the H2 of this year. And now, the device has appeared on Geekbench hinting at an imminent launch.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the phone has the model number RMX3562, which was previously seen at TENAA. It also revealed that the phone indeed comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC which was recently launched alongside the Dimensity 8000 SoC. The SoC is paired with a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. It has a peak clock speed of 2.85GHz. the lower four cores have a clock speed of 2.0GHz.

The smartphone was benchmarked while operating on Android 12 and with 12GB RAM. We are certain that the device will also be offered in lower ran configurations like 8GB and 6GB. As for the performance, the phone manages a score of 966 in the single-core department and manages 3901 points in the multi-core test.

Realme GT Neo3 specs

Firstly, the Realme GT Neo3 is confirmed to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. The brand has already revealed this feature officially, in addition to 150W UltraDart fast charging support.

And according to the rumors, the device will have a 6.7-inch FHD+ display. This OLED panel will have support for 10-bit color depth, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate.

For photography, the smartphone will house a triple-lens system on the rear consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, it will have a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls. As far as power is concerned, the phone will get its juice from a respectable 4,500mAh battery.

In 2020, Realme announced the 125W UltraDart fast-charging technology. Two years down the line, the Chinese company unveiled its 100-200W UltraDart charging tech at the Mobile World Congress 2022 which just ended. Apparently, Realme is planning to out the technology on an upcoming smartphone and has released a video demo of the 150W SuperDart charging in action on the Realme GT Neo3.

The video is suggestive of the 150W fast-charging solution hitting the market pretty soon bringing along a massive charging speed. From the video, it could be seen that the GT Neo3’s battery was charged from 0 to 50% in a flash – just 5 minutes! That is super fast and is a slight improvement over the 125W UltraDart Fast Charging technology that could charge a 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 33 percent in just 3 minutes.

During the MWC 2022 unveiling, Realme had disclosed that the phones equipped with the UltraDart charging will still have up to 80% of their battery capacity after 1000 complete charge cycles. The phones will also be able to charge via lesser charging speed but they will feature multiple boost charge pumps which increase the charger’s current.

Apart from the 150W SuperDart fast charging technology, the Realme GT Neo3 is also expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. Apart from Realme, OPPO, Xiaomi and OnePus are also expected to be among the first OEMs to release models including the Redmi K50 Pro, powered by the latest Dimensity 8000 series. There is no word yet on the phone’s launch date.

Chinese smartphone brand realme recently revealed the launch timeline for realme GT NEO3. At the same time, the company not only disclosed the chipset that will be powering this device but also its charging speed. Today, the key specs of the phone have emerged as well.

Tipster Yogesh Brar has shared some of the features of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 3 on Twitter. According to him, the handset will be built around a 6.7-inch FHD+ display. This OLED panel will have support for 10-bit color depth, HDR10+, and up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Further, the device will be powered by the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. The brand has already confirmed this feature officially, in addition to 150W UltraDart fast charging support.

Talking about cameras, the smartphone will house a triple-lens system on the rear consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP tele-macro shooter. On the front, it will have a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

As far as power is concerned, the phone will get its juice from a respectable 4,500mAh battery. Unfortunately, the leaker hasn’t mentioned details about the software but we believe the handset will most likely boot realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.

Last but not least, per Yogesh, the Realme GT Neo 3 will launch in April. However, the company says that the smartphone will debut in H2 2022.

Realme GT Neo3 will be the company’s next Neo-series phone in the market. The smartphone’s renders and fast charging capabilities were leaked previously. Now, VP Madhav Sheth has revealed the launch timeline and some specs of the device to the folks at GSMArena. Additionally, Realme is also said to be working foldables and Under-display camera phones.

Realme’s VP Madhav Sheth revealed that the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 will debut in the H2 of this year. That being said, it is still a while until we see the phone in the stores. He also confirmed that the GT Neo3 will be one of the first phones to power the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Furthermore, it will indeed come with the 150W UltraDart charging support.

In addition to this, Sheth shared that the company is experimenting with different smartphone form factors to bring to the commercial market. Interestingly, the company is also taking a look at the foldable form-factor meaning that we can expect a foldable from the Realme soon. Unfortunately, Sheth didn’t reveal the launch timeline of the foldable device.

Moreover, a Realme smartphone with Under-display camera(UDC) technology is also in the works. This UDC phone will be released sometime in H2 this year. We can expect the GT Neo3 and this device to arrive at a similar time frame.

Last year, Realme showcased the MagDart magnetic charging system that’s similar to Apple’s MagSafe. However, it is yet to be commercialized. Sheth also had a few words on this, he said that the MagDart’s launch is due since it offers a few comprises, despite being optimized. He revealed that the MagDart charging technology comes with a compromise of either a thicker phone or a smaller battery capacity.

While Realme introduced the GT2 and GT2 Pro phones at the MWC 2022 event, the company also gave a sneak peek at its 150W UltraDart fast charging solution. At the conference, the company confirmed that this UltraDart technology will arrive with the upcoming Realme GT Neo3. Interestingly, the company also revealed the solution’s key highlights, let’s take a look.

The 150W UltraDart charging solution will not only offer reduced battery charging time but also deliver low-temperature charging. Realme claims that the UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) will come with three major highlights like Temperature Management Algorithm and Multi Boost Charge Pumps.

As per Realme, the Temperature Management Algorithm will ensure that the thermal temperature while charging will stay below 43 degrees. Furthermore, the Multi Boost Technology will reduce the total charge time making the phone charge fully in lesser time.

Moreover, the UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) is said to be capable of producing a charge output of 200W, however, the Realme GT Neo3’s support will be limited to 150W.

Other than this, Realme didn’t reveal any specs of the upcoming GT Neo3, but today, we saw the phone’s renders. The Realme GT Neo3 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a tweaked rear camera island with the rumored 50MP OIS-enabled primary lens at the top and an 8MP, 2MP sensor at the bottom.

The device is rumored to come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone is expected to come in two variants, a 4500mAh variant, and a 5000mAh variant. The device will run on Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 on the top.

Realme GT Neo2 was launched last year with Snapdragon 870 chipset and triple rear cameras. Now, it seems that the company is planning to release its successor, the Realme GT Neo3 soon. A tipster on Weibo has shared an image of a Realme device, which he claims to be of the upcoming GT Neo3.

As per the image, the device has a different design and sports a slightly tweaked camera module. Apparently, it has a triple camera system but has the third lens is positioned at the bottom. This is unlike the existing Neo2’s camera placement.

Unfortunately, the camera details aren’t revealed. But since it will be a successor to the Neo2, we can expect a new primary lens on the phone. That being said, it might have a newer 64MP sensor or a 50MP lens.

The back has a tri-color design with a mix of Silver, Black, and Orange.  It also has the Realme branding at the bottom.

Other than the design, the tipster reveals that the Realme GT Neo3 will come powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery and support a 100W fast charging technology.

In related news, the company recently launched the Realme GT Neo2 in Dragon Ball Z Limited Edition in China. Later, the company confirmed that the limited edition model will also reach the Indian and European markets soon.

It has not been even one week since the announcement of Dimensity 9000 from MediaTek on their 16th December event, yet rumors are already spilling out for MediaTek’s next addition to the Dimensity family, the Dimensity 8000! 

No news of specs or benchmarks of the Dimensity 8000 were leaked, however, an insider in China posted on Weibo that allegedly in 2022, Redmi will be releasing its Redmi K50 with the MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor whereas Realme will be releasing its Realme GT Neo3 with the Dimensity 8000 under its hood too.

If the leaks are to be believed, the Redmi flagship K series will be fully transitioning from Qualcomm Snapdragon chips to MediaTek Dimensity processors next year. They are respectively, Dimensity 9000 for the Redmi K50 Pro and Dimensity 8000 for the regular Redmi K50. 

This comes as a surprise as throughout the flagship Redmi K series, Redmi has never used MediaTek for its flagships prior to 2021. Redmi only used a MediaTek processor once for its flagships, which was the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. For reference, the Redmi K40 series debuted in early 2021 with the flagship Snapdragon 888 for the Redmi K40 Pro & Redmi K40 Pro Plus, and the Snapdragon 870 for the regular Redmi K40.

2022 seems like the year where MediaTek could finally stand against its rival Qualcomm as both Oppo and Redmi had confirmed that they will be using their flagship processor, the Dimensity 9000 chipset in both their upcoming flagships. Henry Duan, Vice President at Oppo, revealed the next Find X flagship, presumably, the regular Find X4, will be its first device to be launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. As for Redmi, General Manager of Redmi & Vice President of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing announced that Redmi will be using the Dimensity 9000 as well in their Redmi K50 series.
