<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/">Realme</a> has officially confirmed that the much-anticipated Realme Neo7 smartphone will be launched on December 11 in China. While the global launch date remains unknown, this mid-range powerhouse is already generating excitement. Realme has just confirmed that the Neo7 will come with a massive 7000mAh Titan battery, a feature that is rare in smartphones, even in the flagship category.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="576" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-576x1024.webp?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-662607" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-576x1024.webp 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-169x300.webp 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-768x1365.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-864x1536.webp 864w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-696x1237.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-1068x1899.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed-236x420.webp 236w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/realme-Neo7-7000mAh-confirmed.webp 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Realme to launch the mid-range Neo7 with a focus on performance and battery life</h2>

<p>Realme has teamed up with Ningde New Energy (CATL) to develop the Titan battery and has likely opted for the Si/C battery tech, which offers a higher energy density and keeps the batteries lighter despite a higher capacity. This collaboration adds credibility to the battery&#8217;s claims of delivering excellent performance.</p>

<p>According to previous rumors, the phone will support <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/19/alleged-realme-gt-neo-7-3c-certified-in-china-may-launch-soon-with-overclocked-snapdragon-8-gen-3/">80W SuperVOOC</a> wired charging, allowing for rapid charging of the massive battery. The phone is also expected to feature a large 1.5K resolution display, which will offer sharp visuals for both entertainment and productivity.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Realme-GT-Neo-7.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme GT Neo 7" class="wp-image-658112" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Realme-GT-Neo-7.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Realme-GT-Neo-7-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Realme-GT-Neo-7-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Realme-GT-Neo-7-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>In terms of performance, the phone will feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/05/07/mediatek-dimensity-9300-plus-specs/">Dimensity 9300+</a> processor, which has already shown impressive performance with a running score of 2.4 million points, as revealed by prolific leaker Digital Chat Station.</p>

<p>The &#8220;quality &gt; IP68&#8221; the company previously teased, suggests that the phone could come with an IP69 dust and water-resistant rating, something we have seen in only a handful of flagships and performance-oriented devices so far.</p>

<p>With a starting price of around ¥2499 (approximately $345, €330, or INR 29,100), the Neo7 is aimed at the competitive mid-range segment.</p>

<p>In November, Xu Qi, Realme&#8217;s vice president, president of global marketing, and president of China, revealed that there will be two different categories for its mid-range segment going forward, namely the high-end &#8220;realme GT series&#8221; and the mid-range e-sports focused &#8220;realme Neo series&#8221;. Realme claims that the upcoming Neo7 will offer the “strongest performance, battery life, and quality” in its price range.</p>

<h2>How does it compare to the realme GT Neo6?</h2>

<p>In comparison, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-neo-6/">realme GT Neo6</a> (launched in May this year) comes with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/snapdragon-8-gen-3-vs-snapdragon-8s-gen-3/">Snapdragon 8s Gen 3</a> SoC, a 5500mAh battery, and 120W charging. The Neo7, however, is likely to surpass the GT Neo6 in terms of both battery life and performance, making it an enticing option for those who want a more powerful device without breaking the bank.</p>

<p>With Realme&#8217;s aggressive approach in the mid-range segment, the Neo7 is shaping up to be an excellent option for users seeking flagship-level performance at an affordable price point.</p>

<p><a href="https://gizmochina.com/category/realme">Realme</a> recently announced the Neo series will now operate independently within its lineup, establishing itself as a mid-range e-sports flagship. Xu Qi, Realme&#8217;s vice president, confirmed this move as part of a strategy to distinguish the Neo lineup from the premium GT series.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="488" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-AnTuTu-488x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-661547" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-AnTuTu-488x1024.jpg 488w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-AnTuTu-143x300.jpg 143w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-AnTuTu-200x420.jpg 200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-AnTuTu.jpg 610w" sizes="(max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Realme Neo7 outperforms GT Neo6 in AnTuTu</h2>

<p>The latest news is about the realme Neo7, which is shaping up to be a mid-range gaming powerhouse. According to a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming device has achieved an impressive AnTuTu score of 2.4 million points. This is a significant leap compared to its predecessor, the realme GT Neo6, which scored around 1.5 million. Alongside its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/05/07/mediatek-dimensity-9300-plus-specs/">Dimensity 9300+</a> chipset, the phone will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery, further cementing its focus on performance.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="897" height="445" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-661548" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS.jpg 897w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS-300x149.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS-768x381.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS-696x345.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS-847x420.jpg 847w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo7-DCS-324x160.jpg 324w" sizes="(max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px" /></figure></div>

<p>For those confused about the lineup, there indeed wasn&#8217;t a realme Neo6, but a GT branded model, the GT Neo6. The AnTuTu listing indeed mentions the phone as realme Neo6. Nonetheless, the use of last year&#8217;s flagship Dimensity 9300+ paired with the massive 7000mAh battery suggests a focus on performance.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="768" height="1024" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser-768x1024.jpg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-661549" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser-315x420.jpg 315w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/realme-Neo6-teaser.jpg 960w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p>For further context, the company launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt-neo-6/">GT Neo6</a> in May this year with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, UFS 4.0 storage, and a much smaller 5500mAh battery. However, the GT Neo6 offers a blazing fast 120W fast charging, which is also expected to be seen with the upcoming Neo7, especially considering the larger capacity.</p>

<p>In other aspects, the previous GT Neo6 packs a 6.78-inch display which is curved on two sides. While with the 5500mAh battery, the phone measures 8.7mm thick and weighs 191g, realme is likely to utilize the new high-density silicon anode battery tech with the Neo7, making it thinner and lighter than expected. For context on this aspect, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt7-pro/">GT7 Pro</a> weighs only 4g higher than its predecessor, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-gt5-pro/">GT5 Pro</a>, which packs an 1100mAh lower capacity. So the Neo7 is expected to offer a reasonably good in-hand experience. That said, more specs are likely to emerge going forward.</p>
