Realme Notebook Air now available for purchase in China; price starts at 3,299 yuan ($489)

A couple of days ago, Realme had launched a new laptop in its home market China, dubbed as Realme Notebook Air. Now, starting today, the laptop is officially available for purchase in the Chinese market.

The newly launched Realme Notebook Air comes in two models — 8GB + 256GB which is priced at 3,299 yuan (~$489), and 8GB + 512GB which costs 3,499 yuan (~$519).

The laptop features a 14-inch Full HD display that supports 1920 x 1200 pixels screen resolution and has a screen-to-body ratio of 88 percent. The device, which has an all-metal frame, has 4.9mm narrow bezels.

Under the hood, it is powered by Intel‘s 11th generation Core i3-115G4 processor, coupled with LPDDR4x dual-channel RAM and PCIe SSD. It also comes with VC Liquid Cooling with dual fan configuration.

In the software department, the device runs the Windows 11 operating system and comes with support for cross-screen interconnection. It is powered by a 54Whr battery and comes with support for 65W PD fast charging.

Realme has just announced the highly anticipated Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition smartphone in China. Alongside the new flagship device, the company also announced a new laptop as well, which is dubbed the Notebook Air.

The new laptop from the Chinese smartphone maker is a thin and light notebook. In other words, the focus was put on its design, which is meant to be portable. The new laptop weighs just 1.36 kilograms and measures just 14.9mm at its thickest. Another one of its highlighting aspects is its ultra thin bezels that measure about 4.9mm. For comparison, the Apple MacBook Air M1 model has a bezels that measure 8.9mm in thickness.

Under the hood, the new laptop features the Intel 11th Gen Core i3 processor that is paired with 8GB of RAM. It is also offered in two storage configurations, which includes a 256GB and a 512GB SSD option. On the front, the new laptop has a 16:10 display panel that supports 1920 x 1200 resolution and has a screen to body ratio of 88 percent. Other notable features include, an all metal body, VC liquid cooling with dual fan configuration, 54Whr battery that supports 65W PD fast charging, and cross platform support.

The Realme Notebook Air starts from 2999 Yuan (roughly 445 US Dollars) as an introductory offer for its 8GB + 256GB model, while the higher end 8GB + 512GB variant costs 3299 Yuan (roughly 489 US Dollars) at the current pre order listing. Although, the laptop will later cost 3299 Yuan and 3499 Yuan (roughly 519 US Dollars) for the respective models. For colors, the laptop is offered in Sky Gray and Ice Blue color options.

Realme Notebook Air to launch on July 12 with Realme Pad X-like design

Realme has scheduled a launch event in China next week. The company will be announcing the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition at this event on July 13. The phone will be also accompanied by a new laptop. Let’s have a look at it.

Realme’s upcoming laptop is called Realme Notebook Air in China. It’s not known why the brand is not using the ‘Realme Book’ name for its new computer. Perhaps, this forthcoming model could be a part of new series or maybe the company has decided to replace the old marking name with the new one.

So far, the company hasn’t revealed much about this product, except for its design. The laptop will feature a narrow edge bezel of just 4.9mm.

According to the media house Whylab, the notebook will arrive in two colors, such as Star Gray and Sea Salt Blue. The latter hue option will sport a checkered line on the lid, which will be reminiscent of Realme Pad X’s Bright Chessboard green color variant.

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the Realme Notebook Air as of now. Anyway, since the computer is still days away from its launch, we expect the brand to tease more of its features.
