Realme Pad Mini goes on sale in India – check price and specs

Last week, Realme launched the Realme Pad Mini tablet in the Indian market. It is the smaller version of the original Realme Pad. It brings an 8.7-inch screen, single cameras, and has WiFi/LTE models. Starting today, the tablet has gone on sale in the country.

Realme Pad Mini Pricing and Colors

The Realme Pad Mini (Wi-Fi-only) comes at a starting price of Rs. 10,999/$144 for the 3GB + 32GB variant and Rs. 12,999/$170 for the 4GB + 64GB variant.

The (Wi-Fi + LTE) model is priced at Rs. 12,999/$170 for the 3GB + 32GB variant and Rs. 14,999/$196 for the 4GB + 64GB variant.

The tablet comes in Blue and Grey color options and can be purchased from Flipkart.

Back in September 2021, Realme entered the tablet category with the launch of the Realme Pad in India. The brand’s first tablet was followed by its second in the form of the Realme Pad Mini earlier this month in the Philippines. This product has been now announced for India at the Realme GT Neo 3 launch event today. Let’s take a look at its pricing and availability for the region along with its specs.

Realme Pad Mini Price and Availability in India

The Realme Pad Mini will retail at the following price tags in India.

3GB + 32GB (WiFi-only) – ₹10,999 ($144)
3GB + 32GB (WiFi + LTE) – ₹12,999 ($170)
4GB + 64GB (WiFi-only) – ₹12,999 ($170)
4GB + 64GB (WiFi + LTE) – ₹14,999 ($196)

It will go on sale starting at 12 PM on May 2 via Flipkart, Realme.com, and retail stores across the country.

During the first sale, customers can get it at a discounted price as part of the Realme Anniversary Sale with prepaid transactions.

Realme Pad Mini Specifications

As the name suggests, the Realme Pad Mini is a tablet with a small footprint. It is built around an 8.7-inch display (LCD) with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. The panel has 16.7 million colors and an 84.59% screen-to-body ratio.

The product features a metal casing and comes in two colors, such as Grey and Blue. It measures around 7.59mm in thickness and weighs about 372g.

The device is powered by a Unisoc T616 chipset paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. It boots Realme UI for Pad based on Android 11 and gets its juice from a 6,400mAh battery, which can be charged at the rate of 18W.

Further, the tablet has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. It houses dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a USB Type-C port.

Connectivity options on it include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and LTE (optional). Apart from a fingerprint sensor, it has all the essential sensors, such as an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a compass.

Realme Pad Mini spotted in new video & Flipkart, may launch with GT Neo 3

Just a few days ago, we had reported on the Realme Pad Mini being spotted on the company’s official website in India, which hinted at its imminent launch. Now, the upcoming tablet has also been spotted on Flipkart and in an official company video as well.

For those unaware, the Chinese brand launched the Pad Mini in the Philippines a couple of weeks ago. Now, it seems that the Indian launch is also just around the corner. The new tablet was spotted on the company’s official website, and has even made an appearance on Flipkart, with its own microsite which says “Coming Soon”. In other words, we can expect to see new teasers and additional information to surface soon. With the Realme GT Neo 3 launch being just around the corner, it is also highly probable that the brand launches the tablet alongside the new handset.

Apart from this, the device was also spotted on the brand’s official #AskMadhav episode on YouTube. These are short videos in which the company’s official answers questions from its customers. In the latest video in the series, the executive can be seen holding an Android tablet. Talking more about the Realme Pad Mini, it sports a large 8.7 inch LCD display that has a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels and minimal bezels on the sides.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an entry level UNISOC T616 SoC that is paired with Mali G57 MP1 GPU. This chip is paired with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the rear, it houses a single 8 megapixel camera while the front has a 5 megapixel selfie shooter. A large, 6,400mAh battery pack powers the device, which also supports 18W fast charging.

Chinese tech startup Realme is well known for its smartphones and other smart products. The brand has also made a foray into the tablet PC market with its first tablet- the Realme Pad, emerging last year. The Chinese brand has now announced an update to the realme Pad dubbed Realme Pad Mini.

The Realme Pad Mini emerges as a trimmed-down version of the Pad, coming with an 8.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1340 x 800 pixels. The display has trimmed down bezels at the side edges while the top and bottom edges are quite prominent to make for easy handling when using the tablet in landscape mode.

The slate is powered by the entry-level Unisoc T616 chip, an octa-core processor bundled with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. The processor is paired with 3GB/4GB RAM while there are two storage options 32GB and 64GB storage.

For optics, the Pad Mini packs a single 8 MP f/2.0 camera at the rear aspect housed in a rectangular module. At the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. There is no LED flash. The slate also crams a 6,400 mAh battery under the hood with support for 18W fast charging and reverse charging support via a USB-C port. The tablet ships with an 18W charger inside the retail box.

For connectivity, the Realme Pad Mini comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac support. The tablet also comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack.

As for the price, the Realme Pad Mini is priced at PHP9,990 ($195) for the 3GB+32 GB Wi-Fi + LTE version while the 4GB+64GB Wi-Fi + LTE version is priced at PHP11,990 ($235). The slate is presently on pre-order at Lazada Philippines and comes in Gray or Blue colour options.

Realme’s Pad Mini has been subject to multiple leaks in the past. The tablet passed FCC certification a few weeks back and was said to be mass-produced for the European and Eurasian markets. Now, Realme has officially spilled beans on the upcoming tablet confirming its release in the Philippines.

Realme Philippines has revealed that the Realme Pad Mini will debut soon in the market. Some rumors have it that the tablet may debut on April 4 in the country, but we can’t confirm it as of now. Nonetheless, the tablet is releasing soon and the specs have been teased.

The Realme Pad Mini will come in two color variants, which we assume will be called Grey and Blue colors. As the name suggests, the tablet will have a compact design with an 8.7-inch screen. It will be super slim measuring 7.6mm in thickness.

The tablet will have an aluminum body and pack a 6,400mAh battery. In addition to the teaser, the FCC certification confirmed the support for 18W fast charging technology. The Realme Pad with model number RMP2105 will come with an 8MP single camera at the rear and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

The tablet will be powered by the UNISOC T616 SoC paired with a base of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will boot on Android 11 OS and have Realme UI on top.

The Realme Pad Mini has been making rounds on the Internet lately. The tablet was last spotted on the FCC database revealing its key details. Now, the tipster Mukul Sharma has shed some on its global release.

According to the tipster, the Realme Pad Mini will launch in the European markets soon. He further reveals that the tablet has just entered mass production. To recall, the tablet was earlier tipped to debut in India. Now that it is said to debut in the European markets, we are expected to get launch details in the coming days. As far as India is concerned, the tablet will debut in the region this month itself.

Coming to the specs, The Realme Pad mini was spotted on a few certification sites with the model number RMP2105. It packs a big 6,400mAh battery and has an 18W fast charging support. If we compare it with the Realme Pad’s 7,100mAh cell, then this battery capacity is slightly lower. However, it is worth noting that it also has the same 18W fast charging support.

Apart from the battery, the Realme Pad Mini is rumored to come with an 8.7-inch TFT or LCD panel. It is said to have an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It is expected to be powered by the UNISOC T616 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 11 OS out of the box with Realme UI on top of it.

Chinese tech brand Realme entered the tablet category with the launch of the ‘realme Pad’ last year. Within a few months, the company is expected to release yet another tablet dubbed as ‘realme Pad Mini’. A report has now even revealed when this product will make its debut.

According to tech influencer Mukul Sharma (via MySmartPrice), the Realme Pad Mini will launch in India in March. The tablet will likely release in the second half of the said month.

Unfortunately, that’s all the information he has to say. Anyway, we know about the device’s design and some of its specs. We also expect to learn about its price before its official announcement next month.

According to previous reports, the Realme Pad Mini will arrive with a revamped design. The tablet will have the same metal unibody finish but it will have two antenna lines on the top and bottom of the rear panel instead of one on the left side like the original Realme Pad.

Most importantly the newer device will have a different camera module design. The camera on this tablet will be placed on a rectangular island. Whereas, the camera on the older device rests on the back panel itself.
