It was confirmed yesterday by Realme India that it will be revealing important information on the Realme Narzo 30 series on Feb. 18. Today, the Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth took to the official community site to reveal the Narzo 30 Pro 5G in reality.

On the community page, Sheth can be seen holding a Narzo 30 series handset. Since ‘Narzo 30 Pro 5G’ is mentioned in the blue-colored retail boxes, it appears that he could be holding the same handset. The device has a rectangle-shaped camera module with three cameras and an LED flash.

The Narzo branding can also be towards the bottom of the back panel. Recent reports have claimed that the Narzo 30 Pro 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Since the image on the community page is not clear, it is difficult to tell whether the device shown by Sheth has a side-facing fingerprint sensor.

The community post by Sheth states that the company will be letting selected community members try its unreleased products before launch to share their experience. The company has chosen five highly active community members to try the new Narzo phones.

Rumors have it that the Narzo 30 Pro 5G will be a rebadged edition of the Realme Q2 that was announced in China last year. The Realme Q2 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD punch-hole display that produces a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Realme UI-based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the phone.

The handset has a Dimensity 800U chipset, 4 GB / 6 GB of LPPDR4x RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It has a microSD card slot for more storage. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera system. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Realme X7 5G is currently available as the cheapest 5G phone in India. It is said that the Narzo 30 Pro 5G will soon take over the title from X7 5G as it is expected to come with a cheaper price tag.

Realme announced the Realme Q2 smartphone along with two other phones such as Realme Q2i and Realme Q2 Pro in China in October. A smartphone with RMX2117 model number has appeared in the database of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Since the RMX2117 model number belongs to the Realme Q2, the BIS certification suggests that it may soon debut in India.

As can be seen in the screenshot shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, a listing of the RMX2117 has appeared at BIS. As usual, the BIS listing has no information on its specs. Realme’s Q-series is exclusively available in China so far. Hence, it is likely that the Realme Q2 could be arriving with a different moniker in India.

The Realme Q2 5G has a 120Hz refresh rate supporting LCD panel. The punch-hole screen display produces full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 precent. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Realme Q2 Pro 5G has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It offers full HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display is integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The Q2 Pro offers a screen space of 90.8 percent. Both displays are protected by Gorilla Glass panels.

The Realme Q2 5G and Q2 Pro 5Gsmartphones are fueled by the Dimensity 800U chipset. The Q2 comes with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The Realme Q2i 5G has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Its rear has a square-shaped camera housing that features a 13-megapixel primary shooter with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with a 4cm focal length, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. It has a rear-positioned fingerprint sensor.

Based on the rumors surrounding the Q2 series, it can be said that the lineup includes two phones namely, the Realme Q2 and Realme Q2 Pro. It is speculated that these are RMX2117 and RMX2173 phones that were approved by the TENAA authority of China in September. Tomorrow’s Q2 series launch will also see the arrival of the Realme Buds Air Pro and an Electric Toothbrush in the home market. Ahead of the launch, a reliable tipster took to Weibo to share the key details of the Realme Q2.

The tipster has revealed that the Realme Q2 could be priced between 1,299 Yuan (~$194) and 1,599 Yuan (~$239). The phone will be flaunting an LCD screen that delivers up to 120Hz refresh rate. It will be fueled by the Dimensity 800U chipset by MediaTek.

The Realme Q2 will receive the power to perform from a 5,000mAh battery. The phone will carry support for 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge technology. For photography, it is equipped with a 48-megapixel triple camera system.

The Weibo post that reveals the above specs also carries an image. It seems to belong to the Realme Q2 as it resembles with its rear image at TENAA. The phone is equipped with a rectangle-shaped camera module and it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Realme Q2 series will be the first phone from the brand to come preinstalled with Realme UI 2.0. The new skin will be overlaid on Android 10 OS. Chinese smartphone maker realme was tipped to launch realme Q2 series on October 13 for two times in the past few days. Unsurprisingly, it happens to be true as the brand has now officially confirmed it to be the official launch date for these two smartphones on Weibo.

Last year, realme launched realme Q as a rebranded realme 5 Pro for the Chinese market. For its successors – realme Q2 (RMX2117) and realme Q2 Pro (RMX2173), the brand seems to have tweaked the global versions of realme 7 and realme 7 Pro, as per leaks and certifications.

These two devices are expected to come with 5G chipsets instead of 4G silicons found in the realme 7 series. The standard realme Q2 is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 as per Geekbench, whereas the realme Q2 Pro is tipped to feature MediaTek Dimensity 800U.

Another difference between these China-only devices and their international siblings is that only the costlier Q2 Pro will sport a quad-camera setup with a downgraded 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide unit, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the regular Q2 will come with a 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (depth) triple camera setup. However, both of them will have the same 16MP selfie camera.

Apart from the above-mentioned dissimilarities, the realme Q2 series is expected to be similar to realme 7 series in all other factors, including 60Hz Super AMOLED display and 65W fast charging for the realme Q2 Pro and 90Hz LCD panel and 30W fast charging on the standard realme Q2.

Last but not least, the realme Q2 Pro will be also available in a leather finish just like the recently launched realme 7 Pro Sun Kissed Leather Special Edition.

Since the official name of the device is under wraps, the rumor mill has been calling it the Realme Q2 smartphone. Speculations are rife that it may debut on Oct. 13. The device has now appeared on AnTuTu with a 519K+ average benchmarking score.

The purported Realme Q2 has scored an average score of 519,925 on AnTuTu. It is an average of the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX benchmarks test that was carried out on the device. At present, there is no information available on the chipset that fuels the device. Its TENAA listing had revealed that it is driven by an octa-core processor that works at 2.4GHz.

In terms of specs, the alleged Realme Q2 appears to be a downgraded version of the Realme X7 as it has identical measurements and specs. The only noticeable difference is that the purported Q2 has downgraded front and rear cameras. Soon after its appearance at TENAA, the rumor mill had speculated that it could be called Realme X7 Lite, but newer reports have claimed that it could be the next Realme Q series smartphone.
