Apparently, the Race moniker is a codename for the unannounced smartphone. Realme&#8217;s exec Xu Qi Chase has shared a teaser which hints at the device launching under the moniker Realme GT. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-371417" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme Race" width="640" height="535" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-300x251.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-502x420.jpg 502w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>Earlier on, Chase had hinted that the Realme Race will herald the beginning of a refreshed flagship series from the brand. The exec posted a teaser on Weibo containing a Nissan GT-R scale model car. This aligns well with a TENAA listing for a Realme device with the GT branding stamped on the back panel which was spotted last week.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-2.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-371418" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-2.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme Race" width="553" height="418" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-2.jpg 553w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-2-300x227.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-2-80x60.jpg 80w" sizes="(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px" /></a></p>
<p>It is already in the open that the Realme GT will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset which will make it Realme&#8217;s first model to pack Qualcomm&#8217;s latest flagship SoC. In addition, the device will feature a triple camera setup  at the back, as spotted in a couple of live photos spotted recently.</p>
<p>In the same light, noted tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed that the Realme GT will  feature a flat display, in addition to a super-fast charging and a thin build.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-3.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-371419" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-3.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme GT" width="640" height="182" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-3.jpg 640w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/realme-gt-3-300x85.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></a></p>
<p>As for pother known specifications, the Realme Race/GT is expected to cram a 5000mAh battery under the hood and will have support for 125W UltraDart flash charging. The device also likely feature support for 120Hz refresh rate and will have up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage on the top variant.</p>
<p>On the camera side, the GT/ Race will have a 64MP primary camera alongside a 13MP telephoto and a 13MP ultrawide sensors. The phone will likely come with a 120Hz display, up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. On the software side, it will run on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS.</p>

Fresh information reveals that the handset could be heading to India as a Realme GT series phone.</p>
<p>Realme has claimed that many times in the recent past that Race is just the codename of the device and its actual product name will be revealed later. Fresh information shared by popular tipster <em>Mukul Sharma </em>reveals that the Realme has trademarked the “Realme GT” moniker in India.</p>

<p>The front image of the Realme RMX2202 shows that it has a punch-hole positioned at the top-left corner of the display. The flagship phone could be sporting an AMOLED screen with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The cameras of the Realme RMX2202 are not clearly visible in the rear image of the device. It seems to be housing an elongated flash unit and at least three or four cameras. What&#8217;s surprising about the TENAA images of the RMX2202 is that it differs dramatically from the leaked image that was leaked by <em>GSMArena. </em></p>

<p>The publication had revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888">Snapdragon 888</a> powered Realme Race will come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. It may feature a 64-megapixel main camera and it will boot to Android 11 OS and Realme UI 2.0. Speculations are rife that this device could be the vanilla variant and there could be a more powerful Pro variant.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/20/realme-x9-pro-and-realme-race-pro-specs-leaked/">A recent leak</a> claimed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-race-pro/">Realme Race Pro</a> has a 6.81-inch OLED screen that supports a 3K resolution and a 160Hz refresh rate. The device may come with a Snapdragon 888 chipset and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It could be available in storage editions such as 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB in China. The handset may come with support for 125W rapid charging for its 5,000mAh battery.</p>
<p>Realme executives have revealed that the Realme Race will debut <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/05/realme-race-to-launch-after-chinese-new-year-reveals-realme-marketing-director/">after the Chinese Spring Festival</a> which falls on Feb. 12. Recent reports have revealed that the upcoming flagship phone from the brand is codenamed as “Race.” One of the recent reports referred to the device as Race Pro. Realme Marketing Communications Director Song Qi Arc revealed through a</p>
<p>that the Realme Race will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-race-pro/">launching after the Chinese Spring Festival</a> (aka Chinese New Year), which falls on Feb. 12.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-369645" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Realme-Race-coming-after-Chinese-New-Year.png?x10805" alt="Realme Race coming after Chinese New Year" width="806" height="181" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Realme-Race-coming-after-Chinese-New-Year.png 806w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Realme-Race-coming-after-Chinese-New-Year-300x67.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Realme-Race-coming-after-Chinese-New-Year-768x172.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Realme-Race-coming-after-Chinese-New-Year-696x156.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 806px) 100vw, 806px" /></p>
<p>The company is yet to confirm the final product name of the Realme Race handset. The Realme executive said that the device has a special name and meaning. Previous reports have claimed that OPPO has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/07/rumor-oppo-has-killed-off-the-ace-line-realme-will-have-a-replacement-next-year">transferred its Ace series to Realme</a>. Hence, there is a possibility that the Race smartphone could end up as the first Ace series phone by Realme.</p>
<p>Past reports have revealed that the model number of the Realme Race is RMX2202. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/01/snapdragon-888-powered-realme-race-officially-confirmed-specs-and-image-leaked-too/">A leak</a> by <em>GSMArena </em>revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888">Snapdragon 888</a> powered Realme Race has 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and Android 11 OS overlaid with Realme UI 2.0.</p>

<p>A recent leak revealed the existence of the Realme Race Pro handset, which suggests that there could be a vanilla model and a Pro variant. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/20/realme-x9-pro-and-realme-race-pro-specs-leaked/">leak mentioned</a> that the Race Pro has a 6.8-inch OLED panel that offers a 160Hz refresh rate and offers a Quad HD+ resolution.</p>
<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-race-pro/">Realme Race Pro</a> is said to arrive with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 125W ultrafast charging. Its rear camera setup may include a 64-megapixel primary lens and two 13-megapixel sensors.</p>

<p>Xu Qi mentioned in the Weibo post that the Race smartphone will be made official after the Spring Festival (Feb. 12) of China. Hence, it is likely that the Realme Race may hit the Chinese markets in the latter half of February.</p>
<p>While <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/01/snapdragon-888-powered-realme-race-officially-confirmed-specs-and-image-leaked-too/">leaked information that appeared in the last month</a> revealed details of the Realme Race smartphone, but a leak from last week also revealed the existence of the Race Pro handset. Like the Race model, its Pro sibling could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.</p>

And reports say that the realme device will be known as the realme X9 Pro. Now, the supposed specs of both the X9 Pro and a new realme &#8216;race&#8217; Pro have been leaked.</p>
<h4><strong>realme X9 Pro Specs(Expected)</strong></h4>
<p>According to a Weibo Post by IceUniverse, the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme-x9-pro">realme X9 Pro</a> will be a smartphone with <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-1200">Dimensity 1200 chipset</a>. A GSMArena report also <a href="https://www.gsmarena.com/realme_will_release_one_of_the_first_dimensity_1200powered_phones-news-47292.php">claims</a> the same citing its own sources.  Anyway, the device will sport a 6.4-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This will reportedly be a FHD+ display with a 2400x1080p resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.</p>
<p>For cameras, the device is expected to sport a <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/108MP-camera">108MP camera sensor</a>. If this is true, then realme X9 Pro will be the first realme device to boast a 100+ MP camera. Moving on, other sensors of triple-camera layout are likely two 13MP modules(could be Telephoto, Ultra-wide).</p>
<p>Other tipped specs include up to 12GB DDR5 RAM, a 128/256GB storage, 4,500mAh with 65W Dart charging, and realme UI 2.0(Android 11).</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-366779" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="903" height="634" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs.jpg 903w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs-300x211.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs-768x539.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs-696x489.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-x9-pro-race-pro-specs-598x420.jpg 598w" sizes="(max-width: 903px) 100vw, 903px" /></p>
<p>While realme&#8217;s India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth has already teased a new smartphone with the &#8216;Xciting&#8217; tag, reports say that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/01/20/realme-x9-image-reveals-slim-design-may-lack-3-5mm-audio-jack/">non-pro realme X9 is soon landing</a> in India. And for the &#8216;Pro&#8217; variant, it is so far tipped to launch in Q1 of 2021.</p>
<h4><strong>realme &#8216;Race&#8217; Pro Specs(Expected)</strong></h4>
<p>Further, the tipster also mentioned about a realme &#8216;Race&#8217; Pro variant. It&#8217;s worth noting that a &#8216;Race&#8217; device(model: RMX2202) is already <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/01/snapdragon-888-powered-realme-race-officially-confirmed-specs-and-image-leaked-too/">confirmed</a> to launch with Snapdragon 888 chipset. Anyway, the tipster says the &#8216;Pro&#8217; variant will sport a bigger 6.8-inch OLED QHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-366777" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="943" height="627" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race.jpg 943w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race-768x511.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-race-632x420.jpg 632w" sizes="(max-width: 943px) 100vw, 943px" /></p>
<p>The resolution will hence be around 3200&#215;1440 pixels and it will likely support up to 160Hz refresh rate. Other expected specs include up to 12GB DDR5 RAM, 128/256/512GB storage, triple-camera with 64MP and two 13MP sensors, 5,000mAh battery with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/16/realme-125w-ultradart-fast-charging-announced/">125W UltraDart Fast charging</a>, Android 11(realme UI 2.0).</p>
<p>Just like the X9 Pro, the realme &#8216;Race&#8217; Pro is also tipped to arrive in Q1 2021. Stay tuned to our channels to know which one is going to launch first.</p>

Realme’s Vice President and President for China wing, Xu Qi had claimed that the Realme Race will be sporting a fashionable and eye-catching design. Today, the Realme executive <a href="https://weibo.com/7034060236/JzBX79Q2z?from=page_1005057034060236_profile&amp;wvr=6&amp;mod=weibotime&amp;ssl_rnd=1608608881.6111&amp;type=comment#_rnd1608608893332">revealed</a> that the Realme Race will be part of a new series.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-361415" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Xu-QI-Chase-upate-on-Realme-Race.png?x10805" alt="Xu QI Chase update on Realme Race" width="807" height="182" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Xu-QI-Chase-upate-on-Realme-Race.png 807w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Xu-QI-Chase-upate-on-Realme-Race-300x68.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Xu-QI-Chase-upate-on-Realme-Race-768x173.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Xu-QI-Chase-upate-on-Realme-Race-696x157.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 807px) 100vw, 807px" /></p>
<p>Xu Qi claimed that the Race is just a codenamed of the device, which means it will be arriving with a different moniker. OPPO unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-ace-2">Ace2</a> flagship phone earlier this year. It was expected to release the Ace3 phone in the second half of the year, but it did not come true. The probable reason behind it could be that OPPO reportedly <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/07/rumor-oppo-has-killed-off-the-ace-line-realme-will-have-a-replacement-next-year/">transferred the Ace line to Realme</a> at some point after the launch of the Ace2.</p>
<p>Hence, it is likely that the Realme Race could be arriving in the market as an Ace series phone. While Xu Qi said that the device will be launching next year, he did not reveal a specific timeframe. A couple of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-888">Snapdragon 888</a> powered phones are expected to go official before China’s Spring Festival that will fall on Feb. 12. It is unclear whether the Realme Ace flagship phone will debut before the said date. In all likelihood, the Realme Ace Snapdragon 888 powered phone may debut within Q1 2021.</p>

<p><em>GSMArena </em>had shared a leaked shot of the phone earlier this month along with a screenshot of its “About phone” page. The leak revealed that the Realme Race has a glass rear with curved edges and a circular camera module with an elongated LED flash unit it alongside it. The phone was found to be equipped with specs like SD888, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS. It was also revealed that the smartphone’s model number is RMX2022.</p>

<p>A new render of a mysterious Realme phone has appeared on Weibo. It seems to feature a leather back and a triple camera system led by a 64-megapixel lens. It is unclear whether it is an upcoming Realme Race series phone or some other phone from the brand.</p>

<p>If you have been following news related to realme then you should know that the codename “Race” wasn&#8217;t randomly picked. To the best of our knowledge “Race” is short for “realme Ace”. Yes, Ace. If you remember, we reported back in September that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/07/rumor-oppo-has-killed-off-the-ace-line-realme-will-have-a-replacement-next-year/">OPPO Ace series has been ceded to realme</a>.</p>
<p>Alongside the confirmation from realme, a leak has also revealed key details and an image of the phone, and it appears realme will be sticking to the design of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/oppo-ace-2/">OPPO Ace2</a>.</p>
<p>The leak which was released exclusively to <em><a href="https://www.gsmarena.com/exclusive_realme_race_is_coming_with_the_snapdragon_888_chipset_heres_what_it_looks_like-news-46527.php">GSMArena</a></em> reveals that the phone will have the model number RMX2202. A screenshot of the About Phone section of the upcoming device shows that the phone will run Android 11 with <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/realme-ui">realme UI 2.0</a> on top. It will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, though we expect there will be other configurations too. The image also shows that the phone has a Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood.</p>

<p>There is also an image of the phone&#8217;s rear and it shows that the realme Race will have four rear cameras inside a round camera housing. Flanking the sensors on the right is an LED flash. The phone has a curved glass back and the design is very similar to that of the OPPO Ace2 that launched in April.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, there are no details of the camera specifications. We also don&#8217;t know the screen size, its resolution, and the design. Nevertheless, we already know more about the phone than we did yesterday.</p>
<p>It is also important to mention that since the announcement was made by realme UK, we expect the realme Race will launch in Europe when it arrives next year. We won&#8217;t be surprised if it even launches in the Old Continent first before making its way to other markets.</p>
