<p>As per the senior official, even the 10 million shipment figure was actually &#8216;conservative&#8217; and that the Chinese tech giant is expecting at least 20 million units in sales in 2021. Furthermore, the goal to reach this high figure will be supplemented by the company&#8217;s efforts to boost its offline sales. This would be made possible as the smartphone vendor aims to expand the number of its physical stores in its home market of China to expand its coverage.</p>
<p>During the event, Xu Qi also announced that the company&#8217;s sales of smartphone in the first quarter of this year is nearly the same as its overall smartphone sales from last year. This marks an year on year increase of 463 percent in Q1 2021. Meaning, Realme has seen an explosive growth, especially in the Chinese market. The executive also added that the brand is aiming to triple its offline sales figure this year.</p>

<p>Notably, the OEM is also planning on following a dual flagship strategy. This implies that the firm will launch two flagship grade smartphones this year. The same strategy will also be adopted for its mid range segments. For the high end devices, the company will launch one smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor while the second one would sport a MediaTek Dimensity series 5G chipset.</p>

Most Realme devices have gone head to head with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/20/poll-of-the-week-realme-x2-pro-or-redmi-k20-pro-premium-edition/">Redmi&#8217;s bestsellers</a>, and more often than not, it has managed to grab a chunk of Redmi&#8217;s market share in the segment. The company&#8217;s immense growth is now visible in terms of shipment numbers as well. Today, Counterpoint revealed that Realme shipped more than 10 million units in Q3 2019.</p>
<figure id="attachment_285828" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-285828" style="width: 791px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint.png?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-285828 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint.png?x96852" alt="realme growth counterpoint" width="791" height="489" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint.png 791w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint-300x185.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint-768x475.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint-356x220.png 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint-696x430.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-growth-counterpoint-679x420.png 679w" sizes="(max-width: 791px) 100vw, 791px" /></a><figcaption id="caption-attachment-285828" class="wp-caption-text">Source: Counterpoint Research</figcaption></figure>
<p>What&#8217;s more, this figure marks an incredible 808% YoY growth for the brand, which now ranks 7th in the top global smartphone list. It got into the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/08/30/realme-becomes-one-of-the-top-10-oems-globally/">top 10 smartphone brand&#8217;s list in Q2 2019</a> but now has leaped to the 7th position in Q3 2019. It&#8217;s no surprise that Realme is now the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the world.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand.jpg?x96852"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-285829" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand.jpg?x96852" alt="realme top 7 brand" width="690" height="1227" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/realme-top-7-brand-236x420.jpg 236w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>
<p>In a market, which is traditionally extremely hard to crack, achieving such a high level of growth in just a year is truly commendable. Notably, India and Indonesia contribute to nearly 80% of the company&#8217;s shipments. Recently, it became the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/25/xiaomi-continues-to-be-the-highest-selling-smartphone-oem-in-india-in-q3-of-2019-realme-and-vivo-record-exceptional-growth/">fourth largest brand in India grabbing a 16% market share</a>. Realme is already present in over 20 countries and with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/10/15/realme-x2-pro-with-90hz-display-sd855-64mp-quad-cameras-and-50w-fast-charging-is-official-for-2599-yuan-367/">recent Realme X2 Pro launch</a>, it aims to crack the European market as well.</p>
