How to sign up for the Realme UI 7.0 beta program?

First things first, ensure that your Realme phone is running on the required firmware version. You can check the version details from the About device page. Now, you need to enable the developer settings (if you haven’t already).

To do this, go to Settings > About device > Version > Version number, and then tap the build version seven times in quick succession.

Now, go to Settings > About device > and tap on the Realme UI 7.0 banner at the top. Next, tap the three dots button in the upper-right corner and choose the Beta program. Now, go to Early Access > Apply Now and submit the required details to complete your application.

You may receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update instantly on your phone as the beta rollout is already live, or in some cases, it may take a few days. Before downloading the update package, ensure that your Realme phone has at least 10GB of storage and 40% battery charge left for a smooth upgrade to Realme UI 7.0.

Please note that this is a beta update, and therefore, some features or apps may not function properly. Realme recommends backing up important data, just in case anything goes wrong during the installation, although it rarely happens.

How to get the Realme UI 7.0 beta update?

The Realme UI 7.0 Early Access program is already live for all six Realme phones. You can participate in the program right now, but note that Realme is only accepting a maximum of 200 applications for each of these models. Therefore, you must hurry to secure a slot, as they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Step 1: Ensure that your device has the required firmware version

To be eligible for the beta access, your Realme device must be running on the required firmware version:

Realme 13 5G: RMX3951_15.0.0.1610

Realme 12x 5G: RMX3998_15.0.0.1610

Realme Narzo 70x 5G: RMX3998_15.0.0.1610

Realme Narzo N65 5G: RMX3997_15.0.0.1610

Realme C65 5G: RMX3997_15.0.0.1610

Realme C63 5G: RMX3950_15.0.0.1610

You can verify the software version by navigating to Settings > System & Updates > Software Update. Now that we have completed this step, let’s proceed to the beta registration part.

Step 2: Sign up for the Realme UI 7.0 Early Access program

You must enable the developer settings first. If you haven’t already, go to Settings > About device > Version > Version Number and tap the version number seven times in quick succession. This should enable developer settings.

Now, you’re ready to sign up for the beta program. Follow these steps in the same order:

Open the Settings app on your Realme phone.

Go to System & update and tap Software update.

Tap the three dots icon in the top-right corner and choose Beta program.

Tap the Early Access option and click Apply now on the next screen.

Accept terms and conditions and tap Submit.

After submitting the application, you will soon receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update via OTA. To manually check for updates, go to Settings > System & update > Software update.

The beta rollout has already begun for these Realme devices included in the 7th wave of beta access, so the wait should not be long. Since this is a major upgrade with a hefty download size, the brand recommends keeping at least 15GB of free storage and a battery level above 60% for a smoother installation.

Realme UI product manager Kangda Leo shared the update schedule on Weibo. The first phase began in November 2025 with the GT 7 Pro lineup, which includes the standard model, Speed Edition, and Aston Martin F1 Limited Edition. Devices such as the Neo 7, Neo 7 Turbo, Neo 7 SE, and GT 5 Pro are also scheduled to receive the update this month.

Realme plans to expand the rollout in December for more devices, including the GT 5 240W, Neo 7x, and Realme 14 Pro. The next phase begins in January 2026, covering the GT 6, GT Neo 6 SE, GT 5, Realme 14 Pro+, Realme 14, and multiple models from the GT Neo 5 and Realme 15 series. The list also includes older phones such as the Realme 13 and Realme 12 lineups, along with several V-series models.

Realme UI 7.0 introduces several new features and system-level upgrades. The update includes AI Writing, Flash Notes, and AI Portrait Fill Light. Devices like the GT 8 Pro, GT 8, GT 7 Pro, and GT 7 Pro Racing will also receive AI Live Scene Conversation in stages.

The update also debuts the new Flowing Light Engine, which Realme says improves overall responsiveness and visual feedback. The system uses a Flow Motion Animation Framework and Seamless Architecture to deliver smoother transitions across system interfaces.

Realme claims significant improvements in app launch speeds, tap response time, and stability under high temperatures or heavy loads. The update adds FlowLight Scheduling Technology, which adjusts performance dynamically at the chip level, and FlowLight Accelerator, which enhances app stability and responsiveness using cross-level code optimization.

Gaming performance improves as well. Realme says major MOBA titles can sustain full-frame performance for up to five hours. The system also reduces power consumption during demanding tasks and ensures better multi-window performance.

The Realme UI 7.0 early access program began last month, starting with the Realme GT 7 Pro. The beta program then expanded to more Realme phones in the second and third rounds of early access recruitment. So far, the beta update has been available only for high-end phones, but it has recently started expanding to mid-range phones as well.

The Realme P3 was the company’s first mid-range phone to receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update globally. The update was recently released and is now available for more mid-range phones, including the Realme 14T, Realme 14 Pro, and Realme Narzo 80 Pro.

Here are the firmware versions:

Realme 14T: RMX5078_16.0.0.200 (EX01)

Realme 14 Pro: RMX5056_16.0.0.205 (SP04EX01)

Realme Narzo 80 Pro: RMX5033_16.0.0.205(SP04EX01)

If you’re rocking any of these phones and want to access the new features ahead of the stable rollout, you must sign up for the early access program before the slots fill up.

How to sign up for the Realme UI 7.0 early access program?

To sign up for the early access program, you must first enable developer settings on your Realme phone. To do this, go to Settings > About device > Version > Version number, and then tap the build version seven times in quick succession.

Now, let’s get you signed up for the Realme UI 7.0 beta program. Go to Settings > About device > and tap on the Realme UI 7.0 banner at the top. Next, tap the three dots button in the upper-right corner and choose the Beta program. Now, go to Early Access > Apply Now and submit the required details to complete your application.

You should receive the Realme UI 7.0 beta update on your phone within the next few days after successful registration. Please note that this is a beta update, and therefore, some features or apps may not function properly.

Before downloading the update package, ensure that your Realme phone has sufficient storage. The Realme UI 7.0 update weighs about 3-5GB. Second thing, charge your phone to at least 40% before installing the update.

The fourth round of Realme UI 7.0 early access recruitment is already live

It appears Realme has already begun its fourth round of Realme UI 7.0 early access recruitment without any official announcement on the official community. The Realme P3, Realme 14T, Realme 14 Pro, and Realme Narzo 80 Pro should be part of this round, as the third round only covers Realme 6 and Realme 6T.

New Interface & Visual Enhancements

Realme UI 7 arrives with Android 16’s Material 3 design language along with various visual changes. The major software update brings Light Glass Design inspired by iOS 26’s Liquid Glass. So you get new transparency, depth, and glass-like textures. The UI is also getting improved with smoother animations, more dynamic theme,s and deeper home screen customization.

The update also introduces features such as a refreshed control centre, adaptive dark mode, improved icon layouts and lock-screen depth effects, creating a more immersive and modern user interface. All of this is a part of Realme’s Flux Theme 2.0, which brings support for live photos, video wallpapers powered by AI, dynamic depth of field, and new fingerprint animations along with newer widgets, icons, and more. But these aren’t just cosmetic changes, as the visual upgrades come with improved performance as well.

Smarter Tools, Better Performance

With the new Flux Engine, Realme UI 7 improves responsiveness by 15 percent. Daily performance is also getting a 22 percent bump, while app scrolling is noticeably smoother as well. Animations are more seamless and are built to be more fluid. Overall, the focus is to deliver a faster, cleaner experience that is felt in everyday use and productivity.

Furthermore, Realme UI 7 adds a bunch of new features like desktop style windowing (floating apps), auto grouped notifications, better alerts, and finer control. On the security side, Android 16 introduces Android Protection features such as scam-call detection, online threat blocking and improved permission controls, and realme has confirmed these will come as part of the update.

New AI Tools & Ecosystem Integration

Just like HyperOS 3 and other Android 16 based skins, Realme UI 7 is also getting improved cross platform integration with Apple products. So connecting with an Apple Watch or iPhone is more seamless. This allows calls, messages, health data, and more details to sync better.

AI is another big focus in the update. Among the various AI powered tools, users also get AI Notify Brief for notification summarization, AI Framing Master to help improve photography, and an AI gaming coach that can analyze their patterns to optimize users’ gameplay through helpful insights.

Rollout Schedule & Eligible Devices

The Realme UI 7 will make its global debut with the brand’s flagship Realme GT 8 Pro. However, older smartphones will start receiving this update starting from this month.
How to get Realme UI 7.0 Open Beta update on your device?

Before applying for the open beta program, note that beta builds may contain bugs and unfinished functionalities. Therefore, such builds are recommended to be installed on a secondary device.

To get the beta update, you must go to Settings > Software update, tap on the three-dot menu button in the top-right corner, and then choose “Trial Version” or “Beta Program”. Submit your application and then wait for the Realme UI 7.0 beta update.

Before downloading the update, ensure that your device has at least 5-7GB of free storage, as Realme UI 7.0 is a major upgrade and will have a download size in a few gigabytes. Next, you should ensure that the device is charged at least 30% before installing the update, so that the device doesn’t power off during the process.

According to Realme, the stable version of Realme UI 7 will first be released to the Realme GT 7 Pro, GT 7, GT 5 Pro, Neo 7 Turbo, and GT Neo 6 series in November 2025.

In December, the roll-out will expand to include models such as the GT 5 240W, Neo 7x, and the Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+.

By January 2026, a wider range of phones will join the list, including the GT Neo 5 240W, GT Neo 5 SE, Realme 15 series, Realme 13 Pro series, 12 Pro series, and the V70 and V60 lineup.

The update will be released in phases, meaning users will receive it gradually depending on the model and region.

Realme UI 7 key features

Realme UI 7 introduces a refreshed glass-like design aesthetic with light and shadow effects, giving the interface a softer, more elegant appearance. It comes with dynamic wallpapers that match the Realme GT 8 series colour themes. The icons and control centre have been redesigned with floating ice-style visuals and a frosted glass finish.

Under the hood, the new Flow Light Engine ensures smoother, more fluid animations, while the Frame Tracking feature keeps performance stable during gaming and multitasking. The Flow Accelerator enhances responsiveness across six everyday scenarios. The home screen now supports resizable icons in layouts like 1×2, 2×1, and 2×2, while the Smart Window allows up to 12 floating apps to run simultaneously in the background.

Likely, Realme will unveil the Realme UI 7 globally in the coming days. This should happen soon, as the GT 8 Pro is expected to launch in India by November 11. The Realme UI 7’s roll-out schedule for global / India is likely to be confirmed in November.

Realme UI 7.0 introduces a new light and shadow glass design that delivers a transparent, soft-blur aesthetic resembling refined glass. The interface features updated dynamic wallpapers that adapt to the colour of the GT 8 series device, creating a cohesive visual identity.

The icons have also been redesigned with a floating ice light effect, while the control centre has been reimagined with a frosted glass appearance, offering a refreshed and layered visual experience. Additionally, the breathing status bar adds subtle movement to enhance depth and fluidity throughout the interface.

The update includes Realme’s new Flow Light Engine, an animation framework built on the company’s seamless architecture. It promises consistently smooth and interruptible animations across system interactions, improving fluidity over version 6.0. The dynamic frame-tracking system ensures stable performance even under heavy workloads and gaming sessions, while the Flow Accelerator enhances responsiveness across six key usage scenarios.

Realme UI 7.0-

Realme has also introduced a redesigned inspiration desktop, allowing users to freely resize app icons in 1×2, 2×1, or 2×2 layouts. Another major highlight is the Smart Window feature, enabling up to twelve floating app windows to run simultaneously in the background. Users can preview, respond to messages, or watch videos while gaming without interruption, ensuring maximum productivity and convenience.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be the first to ship with Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16, and older models in China are expected to receive the UI 7 update from November onwards.

It’s been over two months since Google released Android 16, but the update is yet to reach any Realme phone. The brand, however, promises to be among the first to release Android 16 to the flagship phones. This should also mean a faster-than-usual rollout for mid-range and budget phones.

Realme will upgrade a bunch of phones to Android 16 across price segments. But for some of them, it will be the end of the road for major upgrades. In other words, those devices will spend the rest of their lives running the same OS; no major upgrades will be offered beyond Android 16. We’ve curated a list of such devices. Review it below to find out if you’ll need a smartphone upgrade soon.

Android 16 will be the final major upgrade for these Realme phones

We’ve prepared the list based on the update policy and past rollouts. While it should be mostly accurate, I still recommend double-checking with the official announcement for the final confirmation.

When will Realme start rolling out the Android 16 update?

Realme hasn’t announced a release date for Android 16 yet. However, the brand has already confirmed that the Realme GT 7 Pro will be the phone to receive the Realme UI 7.0 update, based on Android 16. The GT 7 and GT 7T will join the party shortly after.

After the Realme GT 7 series, the brand will push the stable Realme UI 7.0 to the GT 6 series, starting with the GT 6 and GT 6T. The update will then gradually reach other eligible Realme devices (see the complete list here).

While the brand remains silent on the Android 16 release, it must be preparing for a Realme UI 7.0 beta release very soon, as its rivals, such as Oppo, OnePlus, and Samsung, are already doing so for their respective Android skins. In a few days, Realme is expected to start recruiting beta testers for Realme UI 7.0, with the stable rollout likely to begin sometime in September.

Google usually releases a new version of the Android OS around October, but this year, Android 16 arrived much earlier, in June. It’s already available to Google Pixels, and soon other brands, including Realme, will start pushing the update to their eligible devices.

Whether you own a high-end Realme GT phone, a mid-range model, or a budget-friendly Narzo or C phone, you’re likely looking forward to the next major upgrade. So, here’s everything you need to know about the Android 16 update on Realme devices, including rollout timeline, eligible devices, and new features.

When will Realme start rolling out Android 16 update?

The Android 16 update for Realme phones will also bring a new version of its custom skin, Realme UI 7.0. The brand hasn’t revealed when it will roll out the next major software update. However, it recently announced that Realme will be among the first brands to deliver Android 16 to its flagship phones.

The Realme GT 7 Pro, in particular, will be the phone to get the Realme UI 7.0 update, based on Android 16. The Realme GT 7 and GT 7T will join the Android 16 party shortly after. After the GT 7 series, the brand will push the update to the GT 6 family, starting with the Realme GT 6 and GT 6T.

Realme promises a speedy rollout of Android 16 for its flagship devices, which should also mean a faster-than-usual rollout for the mid-range and cheaper models. We’ll have better clarity on this when the brand publishes a roadmap in the coming weeks.

Which Realme phones are eligible for Android 16 update?

Realme hasn’t confirmed which devices will be upgraded to Android 16. So, this list is based on the existing software update policy and a little bit of guesswork.

Realme GT series

Although it’s an unofficial list, it should closely align with the official one. We’ll update it when the official announcement is made.

What to expect from Realme UI 7.0 and Android 16?

Realme will integrate many new features and enhancements from Android 16 into the next software upgrades, in addition to the features and changes introduced to the Realme UI 7.0 skin. This will likely include Android 16’s progress-centric notification (also known as Live Updates) for tracking ongoing activities without having to open apps. Realme phones already have a similar feature called “Mini Capsule,” but that only works with limited functions. Integrating it with Android 16’s Live Updates would make it a lot more helpful for users.

One of the standout additions is Android Protection, an array of security features that’s designed to protect users from online attacks, harmful apps, unsafe websites, scam calls, and other online threats. This will also be a part of the upcoming major upgrade.

The Realme UI 7.0 update may also include new AI features, additional widgets, and enhanced customization options. Additionally, there may be UI changes, several new features, and more responsive software.

Google Pixel users have been enjoying Android 16 for over a month now, but it’s yet to reach devices from other brands. Realme, however, promised to be among the first brands to deliver the update to its flagship devices. This also means that mid-range and cheaper models should get the update faster than usual.

The Android 16 update for Realme phones will come with Realme UI 7.0 skin at the top, which is said to bring many new features, customizations, and meaningful changes across the system. The sad part, though, is that many Realme users are going to miss out on this major upgrade. We’ve prepared a list of those devices below. Review it to find out if you’ll need an upgrade to receive the latest features and enhancements.

Realme phones that are not eligible for Android 16 update

Relme hasn’t announced which devices will or won’t be upgraded to Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. So, we had to rely on the software update policy and a little bit of guesswork to prepare the following list:

Realme GT series

Realme GT 2

Realme GT 2 Pro

Realme GT 2 Explorer Master

Realme GT 5G

Realme GT Master

Realme GT Neo series

Realme GT Neo 3

Realme GT Neo 3T

Older GT Neo series models

Realme number series

Realme 11 (LTE/5G)

Realme 11 Pro

Realme 11 Pro+

Realme 11x

Older number series models

Realme Narzo series

Realme Narzo 60

Realme Narzo 60 Pro

Realme Narzo 60x

Older Narzo series models

Realme Narzo N series

Realme Narzo N55

Realme Narzo N53

Realme C series

Realme C67

Realme C55

Realme C53

Realme C51

Realme C51s

Older C series models

If your Realme smartphone is on the list, it’s unlikely to receive the Android 16 update. However, I’d still recommend checking the official list for the final confirmation before you start looking around for an upgrade.

Realme’s update policy needs an upgrade

Realme is fairly quick with software updates, but the update promise falls short of what most Android brands offer. The brand has long offered just three Android upgrades to its high-end phones, the GT series. Only recently, it started offering four of them with the GT 7 series release.

While it’s a nice move, Realme is still a step behind Oppo and Nothing, which offer up to five OS updates, and much behind Samsung and Google, promising up to seven Android updates.

The mid-range and cheaper models from Realme max out at just two OS upgrades, while its rivals offer up to four. Samsung is in a different league, offering up to six OS updates to its newer mid-range models. So, longer software updates are no longer exclusive to flagship devices, and Realme needs to learn that. The brand should offer extended software support to non-flagship phones, too.

Realme has been actively working on Android 16, which will come with Realme UI 7.0 skin. It started offering early access to Android 16 beta in March, and we believe the stable version isn’t far off.

With the stable release around the corner, you might want to ensure your Realme device is eligible for the Android 16 upgrade. We’ve prepared a list of those devices below. Please note that this list is based on the existing software update policy and a little bit of guesswork.

Google released the stable version of Android 16 last month, and soon, other Android brands will start rolling out the update to their devices. Most brands remain silent on this, but Realme has taken the first step to share initial details about the rollout. In a recent press release, Realme promised to be among the first brands to deliver Android 16 to its flagship devices.

The most recent flagship lineup, the GT 7 series, will be Realme’s first phones to get the latest software upgrade. More specifically, the Realme GT 7 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, will be the first phone to get the Realme UI 7 update based on Android 16. The rollout will then quickly expand to Realme GT 7 and Realme GT 7T, which are powered by the Dimensity 9400e and Dimensity 8400, respectively.

Once the rollout for the Realme GT 7 series is completed, the brand will focus on the GT 6 lineup, starting with the GT 6 and GT 6T.

The brand hasn’t revealed the exact date for the Realme UI 7 rollout. However, it has promised to share the release schedule sometime this fall.

Realme didn’t announce the update’s eligibility for its devices, either. However, we managed to create one using the current update policy and a bit of guesswork, as listed below.
