You can actually get 5G-ready handsets by spending a very low amount of money, and you actually have a lot of choices. And you do not have to necessarily choose devices with entry-level specifications. If you want a pretty nice mid-range phone sold at a very affordable price, you can choose something like the Realme V15 5G, the Redmi Note 9 5G, or the ZTE Blade V2020 5G. They are all sold with listing prices below €200 or $250 in the Chinese market. This comparison will highlight the differences between their specifications.

Design

If you look at these devices from the front side, the ZTE Blade V2020 5G is undoubtedly the most attractive one because it features a higher screen-to-body ratio. The bezels around its display are narrower than Realme V15 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G. But the Realme V15 5G looks more attractive if saw from other sides: it is thinner than ZTE Blade V2020 5G and Redmi Note 9 5G, it is lighter and the rear panel is cleaner (especially thanks to the in-display fingerprint reader), with better color variants.

Display

If you need the best display in terms of image and color reproduction, then you should go for the Realme V15 5G. It is the only one sporting an AMOLED panel and it is one of the most affordable phones with an AMOLED display. It shows more vibrant colors and deeper blacks, and it includes an in-display fingerprint reader. But you should not underestimate the LTPS display of the ZTE Blade V2020 5G: it does not provide the quality of an OLED panel, but it is still a very nice screen. Redmi Note 9 5G has an average IPS panel.

Hardware/Software

You can get the best hardware department with the Redmi Note 9 5G. We are not talking about huge differences, but it is actually superior as it features UFS 2.2 internal storage instead of UFS 2.1. Further, it has more internal storage in its most expensive variant: up to 256 GB. Right after, we got the Realme V15 5G with the same Dimensity 800U chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. With the ZTE Blade V2020 5G you only get 6 GB of RAM and Dimensity 800. Despite they are recent phones, all of them run Android 10 out of the box, but they will be updated to Android 11.

Camera

The Realme V15 5G has a lower amount of camera, but a better camera department thanks to a better main sensor. We are talking about a 64 MP lens with an f/1.8 focal aperture. On the paper, the silver medal goes to the ZTE Blade V2020 5G sporting a 48 MP quad-camera and a great 16 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Redmi Note 9 5G disappoints with its 48 MP triple camera and an inferior 13 MP selfie snapper.

Battery

The Redmi Note 9 5G wins the battery comparison because it is equipped with a bigger 5000 mAh battery. Its battery life is longer in all of the scenarios. Right after, we got the Realme V15 5G: it has a smaller battery but a way faster charging technology with 50W power. ZTE Blade V2020 5G is inferior again with its 4000 mAh battery and just 18W fast charging.

Price

Redmi Note 9 5G starts from €165/$200, ZTE Blade V2020 5G is priced at €180/$220, and Realme V15 5G costs €190/$231 in its base variant. The winner of this comparison is the Realme V15 5G due to its better main camera, AMOLED display, and sleeker design. But the Redmi Note 9 5G provides a bigger battery and stereo speakers, unlike its rivals. With the above-mentioned prices, it does not make a lot of sense to choose the ZTE Blade V2020 5G.

While Sheth did not reveal the name of the device, GSMArena reported that it learned from internal sources that it will be arriving in the market as the Realme X9.

As can be seen in the image, the Realme X9 is only as thick as six credit cards. The phone sports a colorful rear along with “realme” and “Dare to Leap” brandings. The bottom edge of the Realme X9 has a loudspeaker grille, a USB-C port, and a microphone. There is no 3.5mm audio jack on the bottom edge of the phone. It is unclear whether the headphone slot is available on the top edge of the phone.

The BIS certification is a good hint that reveals that its global launch could be nearing, and India could be one of the first markets to receive it.

Today, the Realme V15’s model number RMX3092 appeared in the database of India’s BIS authority. After the Realme X7 series, the V15 could be another Dimensity SoC powered phone from Realme to arrive in India soon. There is a possibility that some of the other Asian markets may also receive the Realme V15 phone in the next few months.

As can be seen in the screenshot, the RMX3201 is a mysterious Realme phone which has also passed BIS certification. The RMX3201 phone has been previously spotted at EEC, at CQC certification with 10W charger, and at Wi-Fi Alliance with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Android 10 OS.

That is, it resembles the Koi ornamental fish found in Japan. While the company hasn’t revealed the core specifications and price yet, it’s pre-sale has already crossed 450,000 registrations on Jingdong(via).

Precisely, at the time of writing this, the numbers stand at 474,662. At this rate, it looks like, before official launch event, which will happen tomorrow at 14:00 PM Beijing time(UTC +08:00), registrations will surely cross 500,000.

The realme V15 is said to come in three colors but we only know about two of them. Those are Koi-Design with Gradient hue and Crescent Silver. The device will weigh within 200 grams(probably 176g with 8.1mm thickness) and be one of the slick phones.

Upfront, it will have a top-left punch-hole display which could be AMOLED. At the back, a rectangular layout for cameras and a ‘realme’ branding. The triple-camera setup will host a 64MP main lens and a couple of other sensors(could be Ultra-wide, Macro).

Further, you get a speaker grille, USB-C, Microphone at the bottom, and at the right and left, there is a Power button and Volume rockers respectively.
Most likely, it will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset with SA/NSA 5G support. Besides, the company’s China President Xu Qi has confirmed today that it will have 65W fast charging support.

The company also shared a couple of renders of the phone to reveal that its colorful rear design is inspired by ornamental Koi fish. Today, a tipster from China shared a live shot of the Crescent Silver edition of the Realme V15.

The silver variant of the Realme V15 wears a very sleek and sophisticated appeal. Probably, the smartphone features a glass panel on its rear. The edges of the rear shell are cured towards the left and right edges.

A rectangle-shaped camera module with three cameras and an LED flash can be seen at the upper-left corner. It is fitted with a 64-megpaixel primary camera. At the bottom, it features a speaker grille and a USB-C port. Neither the rear shell nor the edge of the phone features a fingerprint sensor.

Xu Qi did not share any information on the specifications of the Realme V15. The rear appearance of the Realme V15 resembles its leaked shots that appeared last month. The leak had revealed that the V15 weighs 176 grams and it is powered by the Dimensity 800U chipset. The handset is also expected to arrive with 50W rapid charging technology.

In related news, two new Realme phones with model numbers RMX3092 and RMX3093 were seen at the Geekbench benchmarking platform recently. The listings revealed that both models have the Dimensity 720 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. There is a possibility that the RMX3092 and RMX3093 could be the model numbers of the same phone. Hopefully, upcoming reports will soon reveal the identity of the Realme RMX3092/3 phone.
