<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme</a> has silently launched its latest V-series smartphones, the V60 and V60s, in China. Both phones cater to the entry-level 5G segment, offering basic specifications at an affordable price point. Interestingly, despite separate names, the V60 and V60s are pretty much identical in terms of design and hardware. </p>

<p>The display on both phones is a 6.67-inch HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is a modest 720 x 1604 pixels, and the display can reach a peak brightness of 625 nits. Realme mentions that the screen can also dim down to 1 nit, which is useful for nighttime use.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme V60 Launch: Price and Availability" class="wp-image-633596" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-Design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Realme V60</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>At the core, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset handles processing duties. This octa-core processor features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz for performance tasks, alongside six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz for everyday operations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The SoC is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The phone also supports virtual RAM expansion of up to 8GB.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The operating system is Android 14 with Realme&#8217;s custom UI, Realme UI 5.0, pre-installed. Fueling the devices is a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W charging. </p>

<p>The rear of the phone has a camera module with four cutouts, but don&#8217;t be fooled – it houses a single 32MP sensor and an LED flash. The back maintains a clean look with the &#8220;Realme&#8221; logo etched at the bottom.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design.jpg?x44794" alt="Realme V60s Launch: Price and Availability" class="wp-image-633597" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60s-Design-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption>Realme V60s</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The front houses an 8MP punch-hole camera for selfies. The overall design is decent for the price range, with minimalist bezels framing the display. Color options for both models are Star Gold and Turquoise.</p>

<p>Pricing is where things get interesting. Although the phones have the same specifications from top to bottom, they are priced differently for some reason. The Realme V60 starts at 1,199 CNY (approximately $175 USD) for the base 6/128GB variant and goes up to 1,399 CNY (approximately $205 USD) for the 8/256GB configuration.</p>

<p>The Realme V60s, on the other hand, starts at a higher price of 1,399 CNY (approximately $205 USD) for the 6/128GB model and reaches 1,799 CNY (approximately $265 USD) for the 8/256GB variant. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/realme/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Realme </a>seems to be preparing to launch two new phones under V-series in China. Dubbed the Realme V60 and V60s, the smartphones have surfaced in promo material and TENAA listing confirming the specs and design. And interestingly, both models seem identical in every aspect.</p>

<p>While we’re not sure why Realme is launching two near-identical phones with exact same features and design, the specs reveal they are a budget-centric device.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="508" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-633389" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material-768x433.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material-696x393.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-Promo-Material-744x420.jpg 744w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Both the V60 and V60s have a 6.67-inch LCD display with a standard 720&#215;1604 resolution. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, a mid-range processor.</p>

<p>In terms of cameras, the V60 series features a single 32MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. This minimalist approach also extends to charging, with the phone capped at a rather slow 10W wired charging.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-633390" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Realme-V60-and-V60s-TENAA-listing-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>However, the phones do offer some redeeming qualities. The display features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for a more fluid user experience. Additionally, the phone boasts a 5,000mAh battery, which should provide decent battery life. The phone also comes with IP64 dust and water resistance, offering some protection from the elements.</p>

<p>Storage and RAM options appear varied, with the V60 series offering configurations ranging from 4GB to 12GB of RAM and 64GB to 512GB of storage. The phone&#8217;s dimensions are listed as 165.6 x 76.1 x 7.94 mm, and it weighs in at 192g.</p>

<p>There is no official word yet on the launch date and availability of the V60 series. The last V-line phone from Realme was likely the V50s, a budget offering that did not make it to the global market. No surprises though since Realme’s V-series has always been exclusive to China since its inception. So it&#8217;s unlikely we will see these new V60 series devices in the global market.</p>
