Realme Watch 2 Gold color gets quietly listed on the Realme India website

A few months back, Realme launched the Watch 2 wearable smartwatch in India with features like a 1.4-inch color display, 90 sports modes, and a SpO2 sensor. Initially, the company launched the smartwatch in a single Black color variant. However, it was later rumored to arrive in a Gold color option. Now, ahead of any announcements, the Realme Watch 2 in Gold color was found listed on the official Realme website.

In fact, the Flipkart listing of the watch also had the new Gold colour variant. The Realme Watch 2 in Gold color is priced the same as the Black variant i.e. ₹3,499(~$47). But on the Realme India website, you can get it for ₹100(~$1.5) off. It is available for purchase in an open sale both on Flipkart and the Realme India website.

The Realme Watch 2 in Gold has a golden-colour framing with a Grey colored strap. The smartwatch has a 1.4-inch IPS LCD color display with a 320 x 320 pixels resolution. It has a brightness of up to 600 nits and features over 100 watch faces. Amongst these 100, there are also a few live watch faces to choose from.

Some of the highlighting features of the Realme Watch 2 are 90 sports modes including outdoor walking, outdoor running, indoor walking, indoor running, yoga, hiking, basketball, rowing, and others. It comes with Smart AIoT control to control all the Realme smart devices. The watch has SpO2 monitor, heart rate monitor, stress tracking, and sleep tracking features.

It packs a 315mAh battery that is claimed to last for up to 12 days on a single charge. The smartwatch can receive message alerts, call alerts, and even app alerts.

Realme Watch 2 & Watch 2 Pro launched for the global market

Realme today held the Realme GT global launch event where the Realme GT 5G was the star of the night. The company also introduced a new Vacuum Cleaner as well as teased the Realme Book which will be announced in due course. Realme Watch 2 and Realme Watch 2 Pro were also announced during the event.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro was first announced in Malaysia earlier this month but this is the first time the company is showcasing the Watch 2. The two smartwatches take over from the Realme Watch that was launched last year. They are distinct from each other only in the screen size and battery size and a few other features.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro features a bigger 1.75-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 385 pixels. The Realme Watch 2 is designed for users who prefer a smaller, compact smartwatch as it features a 1.4-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The two displays output the same 600 nits peak brightness. However, the Watch 2 Pro has a bigger 390mAh battery capacity which can last up to 14 days on a single charge despite the higher resolution and screen size. On the other hand, the Watch 2 has a standby time of 12 days.

In addition, the Watch 2 Pro comes with a dual-satellite system – GPS+glonass but the Watch 2 doesn’t have support for GPS. Both models, however, come with an IP68 water rating. You also get other smartwatch features such as an optical heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen monitoring. The watch also comes with a heart rate tracker, sleep cycle tracker, steps, calories and distance covered, and other tracking features. The Watch 2 series also comes with up to 90 Sports modes including outdoor running, walking, football, basketball, badminton, jump rope, and others.

As for the pricing and availability, the Realme Watch 2 Pro will retail for 54.99 Euros (~$67) while the Watch 2 Pro is priced at 74.99 Euros (~$91). The smartwatches will be available from June 16 and will be sold on Realme.com and Amazon. The Watch 2 Pro is available in two color variants, namely Space grey, and Metallic Silver while the Watch 2 will be available in only Space grey.

Just yesterday, we saw Realme unveil the Buds Q TWS earbuds in Pakistan. The Chinese company has now launched yet another interesting product in Malaysia. The Realme Watch 2 smartwatch just made its entry and it is an Apple Watch look-alike.

The Watch 2 is the successor of the brand’s first smartwatch that was launched last year and named Realme Watch. Realme had earlier launched the Watch S series with two models in tow but this is the first to utilize a square design like the first-gen Realme Watch.

In terms of specifications, the Realme Watch 2 packs a 1.4-inch touchscreen IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 320×320 pixels. The display also has up to 600 nits of brightness. It arrives with more than a hundred cool watch faces which users can choose from and this includes new live watch faces. The watch has a single button on the right-hand side for capacitive functions. The entire watch weighs 38g and it also comes with IP68 water/dust resistance.

As for the software, the watch brings support for over 90 sports modes which is an astronomic upgrade from 14 on the previous model. Some of the sports modes onboard include outdoor walking, basketball, yoga, indoor walking, outdoor running, indoor running, dynamic cycling, Hiking, cricket, rowing, strength training, and an elliptical machine. Other features onboard include sleep and stress tracking, heart rate, and SpO2 monitors. The watch also supports Smart AIoT control which allows the user to control several Realme smart devices and appliances right from the smartwatch.

The battery is also bumped up to 315mAh from 160mAh on the first-gen Realme Watch. Thus, you can squeeze up to 12 days of usage from a single charge depending on the usage style. The watch also supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

In terms of pricing, the Realme Watch 2 carries a decent price tag of MYR 229 ($55). There is no news about the availability yet.

realme Watch 2 gets certified in Singapore’s IMDA; Asia launch Imminent

realme is gearing up to launch the realme Watch 2 soon. It was first spotted on the realme Link App and now, the wearable has now got certified in Singapore’s IMDA hinting at an imminent Asia launch.

Spotted by Mukul Sharma, a realme low-power, Short-range device appears on the IMDA database. Its model number is RMW2008 and described as a Watch with Bluetooth connectivity. If we recall, the realme Watch 2 with the same model number has already appeared on US’s FCC listing.

As per the info on FCC, the watch will have a 1.4-inch TFT square-shaped LCD panel. To recall, the company’s first Smartwatch launched as the realme Watch last year. It had the same display size and a square-shape. Anyway, the realme Watch 2’s display will also have the same 320×320 pixel resolution.

However, the realme Watch 2 will differ slightly in dimensions and measure 257.6×35.7×12.2mm as compared to 256mmx36.5×11.8mm on the predecessor. Similarly, the realme Watch 2 will have an upgraded battery of 305mAh as opposed to 160mAh on the realme Watch.

Hence, you can expect improved battery life on the successor. Apart from this, the realme Watch 2 will likely have features like Bluetooth 5.0 LE and support the realme Link App natively and compatible with Android 5.0+ devices.

realme Watch 2 leaks in its entirety via FCC

Chinese smartphone maker realme launched its first smartwatch called realme Watch in the first half of 2020. In the second half, the brand released two more wearables in the form of realme Watch S and realme Watch S Pro. Last week, the successors to the original watch, dubbed as realme Watch 2 and realme Watch 2 Pro were spotted in the realme Link app. Now, the vanilla realme Watch 2 has leaked in detail, thanks to its FCC certification.

According to FCC, the upcoming realme Watch 2 with model number RMW2008 and FCC ID: 2AUYFRMW2008 will be similar to its predecessor in most cases.

It will come with a single hardware key (power button) and a 1.4-inch square-shaped TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. Going by live pictures and renders, the wearable will feature a plastic build and a silicon strap with the brand’s slogan – ‘DARE TO LEAP’.

Further, the smartwatch will support 24-hour heart-rate monitoring (using PPG heart rate sensor), blood oxygen level monitoring (using Sp02 sensor), multiple workout modes, sleep tracking, meditation mode, app notifications, and music controls.

Last but not least, this IP68-certified realme smartwatch, backed by a 305mAh battery, will connect with smartphones running Android 5.0 and above via Bluetooth 5.0 LE and measures 257.6×35.7×12.2mm in dimensions.

That said, realme is yet to tease the launch of this product, let alone announce the launch date.
