Realme X will go official on May 15. It is speculated that Realme X Youth Edition (aka Realme X Lite) will be also announced alongside it. Both smartphones have respectively appeared as RMX1901 and RMX1851 on TENAA with full specifications.

Realme X Specifications

The Realme X (RMX1901) measures 161.2 x 76mm. The device is thick as it measures 9.4mm in thickness and is slightly hefty since it weighs 191 grams. It houses a 6.5-inch AMOLED notch-less display that supports 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Realme X is backed by a 3,680mAh (minimum capacity) battery. There is no confirmation on whether it carries support for rapid charging. For photography, it is equipped with a pop-up selfie camera of 16-megapixel and a 48-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. In China, it will be available in two colors such as Black-Blue and White.

The Realme X Youth Edition (RMX1851) measures 156.8 x 74.2 x 8.3mm and it weighs 172 grams. It is equipped with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with waterdrop notch. It offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

The RMX1851 smartphone has a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor under its hood. It may release in two variants such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The ColorOS 6.0 based Android 9 Pie OS is loaded on the device and it carries support for microSD card.

The Realme X Youth Edition has a 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup on its rear. For shooting selfies, it has a 25-megapixel selfie snapper. It draws power a 3960mAh battery (minimum capacity). The handset features a rear-facing fingerprint reader. The smartphone may release in color variants like Nitro Blue and Electro-optic Violet in the home market. On May 15, Realme will be announcing its first smartphones in China. The company has recently confirmed that it will be debuting the Realme X smartphone. Rumors are rife that the Realme 3 Pro phone may debut alongside the Realme X phone with a different moniker of Realme X Youth Edition (or Realme X Lite). Through a Weibo post today, Realme has for the first time confirmed some features of the Realme X smartphone.

Realme has revealed that the Realme X will be arriving with a full screen design that will allow it to deliver a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2 percent. Also, it claims that the elevating camera has a life cycle of 200,000 pop ups. One of China’s biggest online stores, Jingdong a.k.a JD.com, has confirmed the official names of Realme’s upcoming phones as well as their release date. Realme will be making its entry into the Chinese phone market this month and it will be doing so in grand style by launching a flagship phone called the Realme X.

The brand which celebrated its 1st year anniversary a few days ago was originally exclusive to India. It has launched seven phones already which all belong to the mid-range category. However, for its first launch in China, Realme will be announcing the Realme X which will be powered by the flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 855. Jingdong has also revealed that it will bring along a sibling called the Realme X Youth Edition.

Jingdong not only has a page set up for the two phones already but the listing also reveals the phones will be officially unveiled on May 15, an info yet to be released by the manufacturer.

Actually, Realme plans to make an important announcement about the Realme X tomorrow at 10 AM (China time) and we definitely think it is about the launch date. However, JD.com has let the cat out of the bag early.
