Minutes after confirming the unveil date, Realme CMO Xu Qi took to Weibo to share an image to showcase the company’s upcoming gaming-focused smartphone.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-322419" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-teaser-for-May-25.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme teaser for May 25" /></p>
<p>The handset shown by Xu Qi seems to be equipped with a glass rear. At the top-left corner, the smartphone features a quad camera setup. The overall design of the smartphone’s rear is almost the same as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-x50-pro-5g">Realme X50 Pro 5G</a> that debuted earlier this year. However, the area adjacent to the phone’s quad-camera has a slightly different appeal compared to the X50 Pro.</p>
<p>The right of the phone has a volume rocker and here is no side-facing fingerprint scanner which indicates that it could be coming with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The bottom edge of the phone has an external speaker, a USB-C port, a microphone, and what appears to be a SIM slot.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-322420" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme X50 Pro Player Edition" width="5512" height="3720" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition.jpg 5512w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-300x202.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-768x518.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-1024x691.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-696x470.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-1068x721.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-622x420.jpg 622w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Realme-X50-Pro-Player-Edition-1920x1296.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 5512px) 100vw, 5512px" /></p>
<h4 style="text-align: center"><strong><div class="su-note" style="border-color:#e5e5e5;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;"><div class="su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim" style="background-color:#ffffff;border-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;">Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/12/realme-x3-x3-super-zoom-realme-tv-listed-on-realme-india-website/">Realme X3, X3 Super Zoom &amp;amp; Realme TV listed on official India website</a></div></div></strong></h4>
<p>Xu Qi revealed that the internal codename of the device is Blade Runner. The gaming-centric handset has a model number of RMX2072, and it was recently seen at AnTuTu and 3C certification platform in China. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/07/realme-x3-pro-with-snapdragon-865-allegedly-spotted-on-antutu/">AnTuTu listing</a> revealed that the phone is powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, while 3C revealed that its retail package may include <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/12/a-realme-high-end-smartphone-along-with-two-vivo-5g-mid-rangers-were-spotted-on-3c-certification/">a 65W rapid charger</a>.</p>
<p>The exact name of the above-shown smartphone is not known yet. Some have speculated that it could be the Realme X30 Pro. However, it appears to be a gaming edition of the Realme X50 Pro 5G. A trustworthy Chinese tipster has speculated that it could be Realme X50 Pro Gaming Edition.</p>
