<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-366300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured.jpg?x10805" alt="realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured" width="3264" height="2049" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured.jpg 3264w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-300x188.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-768x482.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-1024x643.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-696x437.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-1068x670.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-669x420.jpg 669w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/realme-X7-Pro-5G-Featured-1920x1205.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 3264px) 100vw, 3264px" /></p>
<p>In a tweet, Madhav Showed off a Transparent version of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/realme-x7-pro/">realme X7 Pro</a> in style. As you can see below, the images show a rear panel that is fully wiped off its color scheme. Most part of the rear appears black beneath showing how the inside of the rear would look like. Going by the leaked specs, some of the black portions should be the NFC coil.</p>
<p>Labeled as a &#8216;DEMO PHONE&#8217;, its <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/27/redmi-note-9-series-china-teardown/">transparency</a> even goes to the extent of the sides looking shiny in the lighting. We can also spot the rectangular rear-camera layout with rounded corners. Interestingly, the Flash layout seems to be tucked in the layout with a Ribbon cable from the board and not sorted onto it.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Guys, how about this transparent version of <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/realmeX7Pro?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#realmeX7Pro</a>. Do you want us to launch it? <a href="https://t.co/ArQ0drompD">pic.twitter.com/ArQ0drompD</a></p>
<p>&mdash; Madhav FutureX (@MadhavSheth1) <a href="https://twitter.com/MadhavSheth1/status/1356595855726432258?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 2, 2021</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>This is not the only time we are seeing transparent versions of the device. Companies like Razer(with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/10/12/razer-phone-2-getting-transparent-color-option-soon/">Razer Phone 2</a>) and Xiaomi went ahead and itself <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/09/29/xiaomi-mi-8-explorer-edition-goes-on-sale-once-again-in-china/">launched</a> a Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition back in 2018. And <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2019/02/20/xiaomi-mi-9-and-mi-9-transparent-edition-launched-bring-amoled-displays-snapdragon-855-and-20w-wireless-charging/">followed</a> it with the Mi 9. OnePlus also <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/10/here-is-first-look-at-oneplus-nord-creator-case-incl-the-special-jerryrigeverything-case/">tried its luck</a> with a JerryRigEverything-inspired Creator Case for OnePlus Nord that shows how an internals would look like.</p>
<p>Transparent back panels have gained their own set of audience over the years. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/13/electrochromic-tech-smartphone-oems-next-year-xiaomi/">Advancements like Electrochromism</a> have paved the way for future devices debuting with transparent panels. These glasses, which having color-changing characteristics, are very close to becoming real.</p>
<p>Coming back, the realme X7 Pro, is probably coming to India in Aeroline Black, Skyline White, and an Iridescent(C-Color gradient in China) colors. Hence, we aren&#8217;t really sure if the company will launch a &#8216;Transparent Version&#8217; as the &#8216;Special Edition&#8217;.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Last week, a popular Indian tech influencer </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/02/realme-x7-pro-india-launch-in-december/"><span style="font-weight: 400">claimed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> that realme may debut its X7 series of 5G smartphones in India in December. Then, earlier this week, Anku Jain, the Managing Director (MD) of MediaTek India </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/09/realme-x7-series-might-be-the-only-dimensity-powered-devices-for-india-this-year/"><span style="font-weight: 400">hinted</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> at the launch of these devices.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Now, Madhav Sheth, the CEO of realme India himself has </span><a href="https://twitter.com/MadhavSheth1/status/1327168959813013504"><span style="font-weight: 400">confirmed</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> that the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/?post_type=aps-products&amp;s=realme+x7"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme X7 series</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> will launch in 2021. Also, he revealed the brand’s plan to ‘democratize 5G technology in 2021’. That means realme will be launching more 5G smartphones next year in India, instead of only one handset like it did this year.</span></p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>EDITOR&#8217;S PICK: </strong><a title="realme UI 2.0 unveiled along with update timeline for realme X50 Pro" href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/21/realme-ui-2-0-realme-x50-pro-update-timeline/" rel="bookmark">realme UI 2.0 unveiled along with update timeline for realme X50 Pro</a></h6>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Anyway, users of these phones will not be able to use 5G as there’s no 5G network in India. Above all, the government is yet to auction spectrum for the fifth-generation wireless network.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">So one might be wondering why </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> is bringing 5G handsets to India. The answer is simple: the brand wants to be a forerunner by readying the market even before 5G arrives as India is one of the three largest smartphone markets in the world.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_339861" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-339861" style="width: 1729px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-339861" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro.jpg?x10805" alt="Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro" width="1729" height="920" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro.jpg 1729w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-300x160.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-768x409.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-1024x545.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-696x370.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-1068x568.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Realme-X7-and-Realme-X7-Pro-789x420.jpg 789w" sizes="(max-width: 1729px) 100vw, 1729px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-339861" class="wp-caption-text">Realme X7 (left) and Realme X7 Pro (right)</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Another reason is that almost all Chinese brands have been only launching 5G smartphones in their home market since the beginning of 2020. This trend is expected to get stronger in the coming quarters. Hence, it does not make sense for the companies to invest in R&amp;D for 4G phones.</span></p>
