It allows them to dive deeper into the code that runs their device, allowing them to figure out different ways to improve their device’s overall performance and capabilities. Kernel source releases are also helpful for custom ROM development, which in turn benefits users who aren’t satisfied with the stock ROM on their phone.

With the release of the kernel sources for the Realme XT, Realme 5, and Realme 5 Pro, we expect to see a major boost in third-party development for these devices.
