Oppo Find X8 Ultra

Oppo’s Find X8 Ultra (camera review)makes bold claims and backs them up. Sporting a five-camera system with dual periscope telephotos and a 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, it’s a phone that captures detail and dynamic range with cinematic precision.

Battery life is handled by a 5170mAh cell with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Priced at 1499 Euros globally, it’s expensive and lacks Google services. Still, if you’re comfortable sideloading apps and want top-tier hardware, it’s one of Huawei’s best.

Red Magic 10S Pro

Not every flagship needs to focus on cameras. The Red Magic 10S Pro is unapologetically built for gaming, and it shows. With up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM, UFS 4.1 Pro storage, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition running at 4.47GHz, this thing flies.

The 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED display supports 144Hz refresh and up to 2592Hz PWM dimming. There’s an under-display 16MP camera, shoulder triggers, and a built-in 23,000 RPM turbofan cooled by liquid metal.

Over the last couple of days, Red Magic has been teasing its upcoming flagship gaming tablet. The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro is set to debut soon with cutting edge hardware, but it might not be alone. A separate teaser confirms that the Red Magic 10S Pro is also arriving in a limited edition model.

The Chinese brand’s latest teaser posters showcase the gaming tablet with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite. This is the same processor that powers the Galaxy S25 series and a bunch of other flagship phones. Alongside this chip, you also get the proprietary Red Core R3 Pro gaming chip, which further enhances the gaming performance of this device.

Gaming isn’t the only thing its good with since it also supports productivity features like split screen multitasking, cross screen editing, and fast file transmission. Based one what we know so far, the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro will be announced on 11th June 2025 in the Chinese market. It sports a 9-inch OLED display with 2k+ resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, SGS Low Blue Light and Flicker Free Eye Protection certification. A sizeable 8,200mAh battery pack powers this model, which will support 80W wired fast charging.

The company announced the Red Magic 10S Pro for the global market earlier this month. But now, it seems like a limited edition version is also in the works. Red Magic has kicked off the pre-reservations for the new Red Magic 10S Pro Ming Chao Limited Edition in China, with first sales going live on 13th June 2025.

RED MAGIC launched the 10S Pro worldwide after debuting it in China last week. The global version has the same specs, and there’s no Pro+ model.

RED MAGIC 10S Pro features

The phone has a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED BOE Q9+ screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 960Hz touch sampling rate. It supports 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and hits 2000 nits peak brightness. The display uses DC dimming and 2592Hz PWM dimming.

It runs Android 15 with RED MAGIC OS 10.5. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition processor runs up to 4.47GHz with an Adreno 830 GPU. RAM options are 12GB, 16GB, or 24GB of LPDDR5T. Storage comes in 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro. The Red Core R3 Pro gaming chip handles 2K + 120FPS super-resolution and frame rate sync.

The cooling system has 10 layers called ICE-X with Liquid Metal 2.0, which covers 36mm², and kicks in around 50°C to drop CPU temps by 5°C. There’s also a 12,000mm² vapor chamber, graphene and copper layers, plus a 23,000 RPM fan that runs at 4dB. You can set the RGB fan light to 15 different colors.

The back has three cameras: 50MP main with OIS, 50MP 120-degree ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. The front camera is 16MP under-display with AI features. Other stuff includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra, three mics, dual X-axis linear motors (0815), in-display fingerprint reader, and NFC.

It supports 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, and dual SIM. The 7050mAh battery charges at 80W.

Pricing & availability

The RED MAGIC 10S Pro will be available for early bird purchase on June 17, 2025, with open sales starting June 18 at redmagic.gg. Pricing starts at USD 699 for the 12GB+256GB model. The 16GB+512GB version is priced at USD 848, and the top-end 24GB+1TB model costs USD 999. It will be sold in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Asia-Pacific, GCC, and Latin America. Sales in Vietnam, Turkey, and Brazil will begin later.

Red Magic has officially launched the Red Magic 10S Pro and 10S Pro+ in China, introducing its most powerful gaming smartphones yet. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition processor, clocked up to 4.47GHz, and backed by up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.

The global launch of the Red Magic 10S Pro is scheduled for June 5, 2025, at 8:00 AM EDT. Ahead of this, Red Magic is hosting a sign-up event from May 26 to June 17, offering participants a chance to win a free 10S Pro or a full refund on their purchase.

The phones feature a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED BOE Q9+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, and a screen-to-body ratio of 95.3%. The panel supports peak brightness of 2000 nits, 10-bit color depth, DC dimming, and 2592Hz PWM dimming for flicker-free viewing. RedMagic’s self-developed RedCore R3 Pro chip enhances gaming visuals with 2K+120FPS super-resolution and frame concurrency.

Cooling is managed by composite liquid metal cooling 2.0, a 3D ice-step vapor chamber covering 12,000mm², superconducting copper foil, and a built-in 23,000 rpm centrifugal fan. The design continues RedMagic’s cyberpunk aesthetic, with a flush rear camera housing and a visible spinning fan aligned with the cameras.

The Red Magic 10S Pro and 10S Pro+ are also the first in the series to include a PC game emulator, enabling compatibility with several titles on the Steam platform. Additional features include 520Hz shoulder triggers, multi-function NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, dual stereo speakers, three mics, and X-axis linear motors for enhanced haptics.

The Red Magic 10S Pro and Red Magic 10S Pro+ arrive with powerful hardware, massive batteries, and various features that helps make them a great device for mobile gaming enthusiasts. Red Magic 10S Pro Series: Design and Display

The Red Magic 10S Pro lineup retains the active cooling design with the “Hot Wheels” system, which is a physical cooling fan built into the device. Nubia recently confirmed that it will announce the Red Magic 10S Pro series on May 26 in China. While there are many phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in the market, the upcoming Nubia gaming phone features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, an overclocked edition of the regular variant. Ahead of the launch, the topmost variant of the phone, dubbed the Red Magic 10S Pro+, has emerged in AnTuTu’s database with a remarkable score of 3,157,833. At the same time, the brand has confirmed several details about the smartphone.

According to AnTuTu, the Nubia smartphone with model number NX789S_V2A, which has emerged in its database, is the upcoming Red Magic 10S Pro+. The above-mentioned AnTuTu score is a total of 751,409 (CPU test), 1,284,404 (GPU test), 591,635 (memory test), and 530,385 (UX test).

The AnTuTu listing confirms that the Red Magic 10S Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, which works at 4.47GHz. It is paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is also equipped with a 144Hz display and Android 15.
